“Basic Crowne plaza – comfy bed, tube TV, coffee maker, but that's about it. There is an Asian shopping plaza within walking distance but no other restaurants off property. Several ball teams were staying at the hotel for a tournament but we requested a quiet room and the front desk complied. Probably wouldn't stay here again.” Aug 24, 2009 by
Mary from Templeton,CA
“Much nicer than I expected. They said I was booked to a "smoking room" and would not list my request for a "non-smoking" but when I arrived they asked which I wanted and what bed type.” Jul 26, 2009 by
Eric from Albquerque,NM
“As for the hotel itself, it's a tall hotel in a valley with no tall neighbors, so the views are great on the upper floors. Although the hotel seems like an older hotel that has lost some of its shine, our room was clean and had everything you'd expect from this star level (and maybe a bit more). The main knock is that the AC unit was old-style, with no digital thermostat setting (but no big deal since the area usually does not get too hot or too cold). Also, I wish the room had a fridge. At this hotel, you have to pay a lot for certain "extras" like minibar, movies and internet(about $10/day), so probably you'll just go without. They do have laundry machines, although another guest told us that the dryers have not been working for a few days. Overall, I pretty much got what I expected from this kind of hotel. I can recommend (but just barely because of the minor annoyances).” Jul 25, 2009 by
Bin from San Jose,CA
“I extended my stay from Priceline. I called hotel front desk 2 days ahead to make sure I can stay in the same room. However on the day I renew the room key, a very rude hotel staff scolding me for not notifying them ahead and it has made his job difficult.” Jul 5, 2009 by
Lisa from South San Francisco,CA
“The Crown Plaza is a nice place to stay, the hotel staff is friendly and helpful. The pool is small, but adequate and enjoyable.” May 24, 2009 by
John from Rocklin,CA
“Our stay was a short one and we enjoy it very much and would return. The staff was good and the hotel was clean, plus they had the Fox News Channel on their TV.” May 18, 2009 by
Tim from Redding,CA
“Good facility, good location. The bed, as is the case in most of the Crowne Plazas I have stayed in, was very firm (hard). Marriott's beds are far more comfortable!” May 15, 2009 by
Jon from Atascadero,CA
“A fairly new, 10 story hotel which easily deserves its 3 star. The rooms are not very large, but are comfortable, well maintained and modern. The front desk employees are consistently competent, efficient and friendly. One complaint: the housekeeping staff is prone to having long conversations hollered across the halls.” May 12, 2009 by
Ron from Livingston,TX
“Comfortable and convenient.” Apr 19, 2009 by
Joyce from Tiburon,CA
“I was disappointed twice by the low water level of the jacuzzi. The jacuzzi was why I selected this hotel. On two separate stays, I could hear neighbor tenants talking at 10 and 11 pm, when I was trying to fall asleep, which caused me to wake up tired in the morning. The second time I called the front desk, who said they'd send a security guard. It got quiet soon, but still this hassle made this a less than a comfortable stay. These experiences made me think it's better to make the 75 minutes trek home rather than stay at a hotel 5 minutes away.” Mar 22, 2009 by
Nicol from Indio,CA
“I would return to this hotel as the rooms were very clean and the staff was Nov 4, 2008 by

“The hotel was very good. Room was very clean. Beds were very good. Room was a bit small but ok.” Sep 2, 2008 by
Martha from Salem, OR
“This is a very nice, easy access hotel from the San Jose airport. We enjoyed the pool and fitness room. It was easy to get to all the major freeways so we could enjoy going to other areas in South Bay.” Aug 31, 2008 by
Gabor from Sioux Falls, SD
“Good location, nicely appointed hotel.” Aug 30, 2008 by
Gerry from Sparks, NV
“They first made me sign that I will not smoke. Then when I go to the room it was stinking with heavy cigarette smoke. They changed the room but were not gracious enough to upgrade for the inconvenience.” Aug 14, 2008 by
Hesham from Mountain View, CA
“In my best to stay in again. Too small rooms.” Aug 10, 2008 by
Suz from Concord, CA
“This hotel was ok. Nothing exciting. Outdated and kind of just worn out looking. The staff was not friendly. They put my us in a room with 2 queen beds. They did remedy this; however were not the least bit concerned with their customer service.” Jul 24, 2008 by
Jennifer from San Jose, CA
“The elevators were broken; the average wait for the one working elevator was 12 long minutes. Pool hours were 8am - 11pm, but guests were at the pool literally all night long; and I and my partner got absolutely no sleep for 2 of the 3 nights we stayed. We called the front desk and complained about this on 3 separate occasions. They promised to have security look into it, but nobody from the hotel staff showed up at the pool to ask the noisy party animal guests to leave. The keys to our room deactivated 4 times and maintenance had to be called twice. Hotel management did not acknowledge our complaints about our bad experiences. We never once received an apology. We were thoroughly disgusted with our stay at this hotel.” Jul 21, 2008 by
Doug from Milpitas, CA
“This hotel stay met my expectations.” Jul 21, 2008 by

“Located just off 237 and very near 880 freeways, also located near the Great Mall. There are several places to eat within a very short drive. The hotel is clean, nice public areas and staff was friendly upon check-in and check-out. Some elevator upgrading is being done so there is a wait for elevators during the day and early evening. Hallways of the hotel have an "old" smell to them, not sure how to describe it. Not terrible, it just felt dated. The rooms however were quite nice with comfortable beds and a small gift bag of items to help you sleep (sleeps mask, lavender spray, sleep CD to be used with the CD alarm clock in the room). Plenty of pillows, soft linens. I couldn't pick up the wireless in my room (using daughter's computer and she wasn't there. so that may have been my problem not the hotel). I did call to ask if they provided wireless and the front desk person was short with me, gave me a snippy answer then hung up. I did go down to use the business center, adequate but sticky mouse and closed in room. Pool area: very nice pool, large enough for some lap swimming (larger than many hotel pools). Looked very clean and the Jacuzzi looked clean. Fitness room has several pieces of equipment to get a good workout. Overall a nice place to stay for a couple of nights.” Jun 29, 2008 by
Jon from Atascadero, CA
“My room was reasonably well appointed and very clean. There was a special package of sleep aids (ear plugs, eye shades, white noise CD) which initially concerned me, but the hotel was very quiet. There's a very large shopping mall only 1/4 mile from the hotel and there's easy access to highways 880 and 237. The elevators took forever, but were in the process of being replaced with faster models. For the money, I was very pleased.” May 14, 2008 by
Aprem from Modesto, CA
“I do not wish to stay in this hotel again. I always have problem with checking in early. They do not care if I request to check in early or not, they never accommodate it.” May 9, 2008 by
Tim from Fremont, CA
“Good: Super comfort bed, very clean room, nice exercise room and swimming pool. Quiet surrounding on weekend. Business travelers have left to go back home. Good location, walking distance to several restaurants. Bad: Relatively noisy air-conditioning and room is a little tight.” May 8, 2008 by
Darlene from Oakdale, CA
“What a wonderful experience!” Apr 18, 2008 by
Kang from Cerritos, CA
“Cleaner than a 4-star hotel.” Apr 16, 2008 by
Rhonda from Chico, CA
“I had the best night's sleep, the cleanest, neatest, most prepared room I have ever had in a hotel. It was the quietest and totally conducive to a good night's rest. The bed was also the most comfortable I have ever slept in, including my own bed at home!” Apr 14, 2008 by
Gretchen from Ocean Grove, NJ
“Nice rooms, excellent staff. Also offer a TV station with yoga programs - so don't forget your yoga mat! Great location, right in the middle of companies like Cisco.” Mar 6, 2008 by
Diane from Fresno, CA
“Although the hotel is very attractive and the pool area is attractive and pleasant, the poor quality of the new beds makes for an unhappy stay. One bed was actually slanted, enough to see visually, and enough to feel when you lay on the bed (possibly from a slanted floor?). The other bed was flat and not lumpy, but did not match the quality of the beds at the nearby Beverly Heritage Hotel which has the same star rating. I slept poorly and as a result will not plan a return visit. I am not a picky sleeper, my own bed at home is very hard, and I can even sleep comfortably on the floor. I also like soft foam for sleeping. So, I have to say there is really something wrong with a bed I cannot sleep in. On the up side, the bathroom is upscale attractive. For some reason, the sink is European style but there is no counter for your toiletries or makeup, and nowhere else in the room to apply makeup. Noticeably poor planning, considering the bathroom is otherwise roomy. However, the staff is pleasant and professional, and there is ample parking” Feb 13, 2008 by
Leticia from Modesto, CA
“Overall worth the money.” Jan 16, 2008 by
James from Moorpark, CA
“Having previously lived in San Jose, I saw this hotel many times, but never paid attention to it due to it's descript appearance. Now that I've stayed there, I can say it is very much a jewel.” Nov 27, 2007 by
Art from Westlake Village, CA
“Hotel is clean, nicely furnished and near businesses and restaurants. This is my third trip and every time I have had an internet access problem.” Nov 24, 2007 by
Noreen from San Rafael, CA
“We did get a portable refrigerator sent up but had to call for an extra robe as the room only had one. Also, couldn't have coffee in the room the following morning because housekeeping didn't leave regular coffee packets, only decaf. The view was great from the room, but most hotel rooms don't excite me, they are just "rooms", nothing out of the ordinary.” Nov 21, 2007 by
Niles from Modesto, CA
“Overall, a great hotel experience. The room was very nice and the bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel certainly is situated in a "business" region but is very close to shopping and local amusement park. Staff was friendly and helpful!” Nov 15, 2007 by
Steve from Santa Rosa, CA
“A nice, comfortable place to stay.” Nov 15, 2007 by
Eugene from Arcata, CA
“Great hotel for business traveler.” Sep 10, 2007 by
Ryan from Cincinnati, OH
“It's a good, clean, professional business hotel with a helpful staff and free wireless internet (a must). I was perfectly comfortable. But its isolated location in Milpitas makes it rather inconvenient and a Nasty traffic-jam drive to silicon valley or the east bay.” Sep 3, 2007 by
Lora from Los Banos, CA
“I enjoyed the atmosphere they also do a lot of little things to help you have a good nights rest. I really like the clip for the curtains so the light does not shine in your eyes early in the morning,” Aug 30, 2007 by
Bradley from Riverside, CA
“Nice staff, rooms, pool area & restaurant. This was our first time staying at Crowne; on a weekend we were very pleased. Our only problem came with there shuttle van service -it's a real hit and miss. Our destination was 10 minutes away. We called ahead and still had to stand out front for 45 minutes. When the driver finally arrived he got out and told everyone it was time for his lunch break. We talked to front desk and management but they were not any help. We got fed up and called a taxi.” Aug 29, 2007 by
Lori from Salinas, CA
“We had a great time and the staff was wonderful. They even opened the gift store after hours to let us buy some late night snacks. The pool was fun - my daughter thought it was cool to have it on the 3rd floor. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.” Aug 13, 2007 by
Randolph from Mobile, AL
“Really great hotel.” Jul 28, 2007 by
Richard from Salisbury, CT
“Just a very pleasant experience. Great location away from congested noisy highways. I found everyone to be friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and very clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, and I look forward to staying there again on a future trip to Milpitas!” Jul 25, 2007 by
Bryan from San Jose, CA
“Overall, our stay was good. One big problem we had was parking near the entrance of the hotel. Having a small child and lots of things to carry to the room, the parking we found was not that close to the entrance and the row was very narrow making hard for us to pull in straight without making several attempts.” Jul 9, 2007 by
Craig from Beaverton, OR
“The Crowne Plaza is an excellent place for the business traveler that has business in the Bay Area. It is located near freeways for easy access in any direction. The rooms are clean and adequate to work in.” Jul 2, 2007 by
Shelley from New York, NY
“I was very impressed with the Crown Plaza hotel. I stayed at in California. The hotel pool was nice, and it had a Jacuzzi, too. The rooms were big, and the hotel provides free wireless internet access. I also enjoyed the workout room. The treadmills were up-to-date with TVs on each treadmill.” Jun 28, 2007 by
Nikia from Fresno, CA
“I would stay at this hotel again.” Jun 25, 2007 by
