“The room was on gas station side wing, very old, not very clean.” Oct 24, 2009 by
Ash from Brampton,Canada
“Inconvenient location. Access to rooms is available to public - no security. Rooms have worn out bedding and are dated. Not enough outlets in the room and the outlets that are there are in need of being updating. No Wired internet access and wireless access is not secure. If there was secure wireless access, no attempt by check in staff was made to find out if I needed internet access. Room Service ends @ 10, despite the in-room dining guide stating that after 10 light snacks are available.” Oct 6, 2009 by
Benjamin from Atlanta,GA
“Good overall.” Aug 24, 2009 by
Garrett from Granada Hills,CA
“The hotel was generally meeting our expectations in the beginning. Our air conditioning in the room didn't work too well (and the cleaning staff kept turning it off), but otherwise the room was OK. But there were parties being thrown in our area the last two nights we were there. The last night, there was a party being held in the courtyard right in front of our room. I can tell the hotel approved it because they were using hotel equipment for it. When we got to our room, there was already a large trash bin filled with empty beer bottles. It was loud, unsupervised, and made us feel uncomfortable, especially with our kids. I can't believe the hotel allowed this common area to be used/rented out for parties, especially when they have conference rooms in the main building.” Aug 7, 2009 by
Michael from Caldwell,ID
“The hotel was well kept, room service was great and pool was well maintained. Service was great, everyone was very helpful.” Jul 31, 2009 by
Kathy from Reno,NV
“Overall, the hotel and staff were helpful and friendly. The check in went smoothly as did checkout. Housekeeping was asked to return later than their 8:30 knock on the door and never returned, so I did not have clean towels, but overall it was a pleasant experience. I'm sure they would have come back and cleaned the room, had it been as issue. Thanks, Priceline.” Jul 1, 2009 by
Paul from Siletz,OR
“While I am sure this hotel could hold a 3 star rating, newspaper, and other amenities that go with the rooms (per the website). We were assigned room which is located on a cement covered walkway next to the laundry and faces a steel and bamboo fence. The room was small, musty, and had a single double bed. It was not even a Motel 6 quality room.” May 10, 2009 by
Anil from Morganville,NJ
“Excellent for business travelers, close to key highways that connect all major businesses/airports. Personally liked the calmness even though it was close to highway.” Nov 22, 2008 by
Janet from Eureka,CA
“The hotel was beautiful! It was so clean and pretty. The check-in staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location is very easy access off Hwy 101, yet the hotel and surroundings are very quiet; peaceful. Our room was so big and very comfortable and very very clean. We could definitely stay again! We were too late arriving to eat at the restaurant and had plans to meet friends somewhere else for breakfast so we didn't use the restaurants at all. The room service menu however, looked good and reasonable.” Jul 27, 2008 by
Paco from San Diego, CA
“I didn't spend much time at the hotel. But when I was there I enjoyed it. I would indeed recommend.” Jul 25, 2008 by
Alberto from Seattle, WA
“The room was small, near the highway and not perfectly clean. The tower rooms may be better, but the ones in the 2 story part of the hotel were not good at all. The hotel bar has great food and service. I was pleasantly surprised.” Jul 23, 2008 by
Tawnie from Tustin, CA
“Upon arrival the gal at the check in could not speak English. Restaurant was horrible with no service a buffet that has seen better days I'm sure.” Jul 22, 2008 by
Ash from Mercer Island, WA
“The hotel has an excellent lobby that raises your expectations of the room. But won't live up to the expectation set by lobby. The reservation staff and floor managers were very friendly and helpful, full points to them. The breakfast cafe lady was very rude to everyone dining on the free breakfast. The first day she gave us juice when we said no, but never gave water after repeated request. She simply walked away while we were still talking to her. I wont go there, if that lady is still there.” Jul 18, 2008 by
Carmen from Los Banos, CA
“The pool was bombarded with many children and all their parents drinking heavily for two days in a row! The room was very small, we were barely able to close the bathroom door! There was never any towels in the pool premises, so I had to wait for them for long periods. Everything in the room was outdated. Would not want to stay there again.” Jul 12, 2008 by
Alan from Keizer, OR
“The lobby and tower of the building looked beautiful. A very small room, bad location, on the second floor with no elevator, and with no parking available in that area.” Jun 16, 2008 by
Diana from Sacramento, CA
“Disappointed about having a sofa-bed instead of a real bed as I was led to believe there were two queen size beds. Other than that everything was fine.” May 25, 2008 by
Norma from Elk Grove, CA
“It was what I expected for a 4 star except the mattress in room needs to be replaced.” May 16, 2008 by
Rebecca from Rocklin, CA
“This hotel has a motel portion, with hotels facing the parking lot, with poor security.” Apr 15, 2008 by
Grace from Victoria, BC CA
“We were very pleased with all aspects of the Biltmore. We received a friendly efficient welcome even though we arrived two hours before check-in. Our room was well laid out, and we appreciated the free internet access. Dinner in their restaurant was delicious and moderately priced. I would love to return to that hotel again!” Apr 14, 2008 by
Michael from Sebastopol, CA
“Convenient to Silicon Valley, Great America and freeways. Very nice lobby but then most rooms are in the out buildings which are more like a motel. Small rooms, ok service. More like a 2 or 2.5 star than a tree star.” Apr 14, 2008 by
Lisa from Atascadero, CA
“This hotel has nicer rooms in the middle and not so nice ones on the side.” Mar 14, 2008 by
Jana from Los Angeles, CA
“This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in for a 3-star rating. This rating is extremely deceptive. The hotel was filthy, and the room was dirty. They don't even have an elevator--so I had to carry my luggage to an upstairs floor. There was even dirty soap left in the bathroom. This hotel's rating should be reconsidered!” Mar 14, 2008 by
Phillip B. from Salinas, CA
“Main tower seemed attractive, but the wing where I stayed was like a Motel 6, dark, very noisy, gritty. Rooms were very standard but clean.” Mar 4, 2008 by
Mark from Omaha, NE
“The Biltmore was a very nice hotel. The lobby and other common areas seemed to be 4-Star. The rooms were in separate buildings and were more 2.5-star. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, maid service was excellent, but the room was very small.” Feb 24, 2008 by
William from Irvine, CA
“Good for business staying with low price.” Feb 20, 2008 by
Sharon from Park City, UT
“Full service hotel with free internet and large rooms.” Feb 18, 2008 by
Rita from Manhattan Beach, CA
“This hotel will do in a pinch, but it wouldn't be my first choice. The parking lot was just outside my door - making for a noisy experience. It didn't feel safe. The hotel was not at all full and yet she seemed to give me an inferior room. I struggled with my luggage while the two clerks sat and chatted at the front desk. The next morning I called guest services to ask for assistance with my luggage, but the clerk sounded very reluctant and then nobody ever did show up. On the plus side, the food from room service was excellent as was the catering staff. They were friendly and very helpful. The room was clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. A final note: three or four letters on the Biltmore signage out front weren't lit up. This was true for all sides of the building. It didn't appear that anyone was tending to basic maintenance on something as important as this! It doesn't make a good first impression.” Dec 18, 2007 by
Michael from Pac. Palisades, CA
“Aspires to be better than it is. Hangers cannot be removed from horizontal bar. One bulb over sink missing. One must walk up steps to second level because there is no elevator. Newspaper, promised for every day, was not delivered on sat. Morning. Hot water, however, was hotter than I have ever experienced at a hotel (lawsuits anyone?). Getting into the hotel from san Thomas Expressway and getting out of the hotel to go on the san Thomas Expressway is downright dangerous when traffic is heavy. If I had the choice, I would not stay at this hotel again.” Dec 10, 2007 by
Sue from Palo Alto, CA
“Very nice decor; location is good.” Oct 17, 2007 by
Joanne from Petaluma, CA
“This is not a 3 star hotel! The room you get isn't the nice tower suites, but the motel like rooms that are shabby. The wallpaper is peeling off the walls, the furniture has gashes in it, the bathroom fixtures are rusty, the curtains have stains, and the blanket was covered in holes!” Oct 17, 2007 by
Anita from Glendale, CA
“Staff was friendly, ground were nice & clean. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The TV didn't have very good channels and the bed was very uncomfortable.” Jul 20, 2007 by
Randy from Nevada City, CA
“This is definitely not a 3-Star hotel! The Lobby is nice but what you don't know is that there is a motel attached the tower.” Jul 12, 2007 by
Theresa from Garden Grove, CA
“This hotel looks very nice, and they do have better suite to stay. But the room I stay while in business trip is terrible. I didn't get a very nice suite. Not happy at all!” Jul 11, 2007 by
Patty from Pacifica, CA
“The Biltmore was easy to find and the hotel staff was very nice and accommodating. The room was fine and in good shape. We got a suite and it was nice to have the separate bedroom but the doors to separate the bedroom and living area were terrible. They didn't close properly and it was noisy. The small refrigerator was on the ground and hard to get to but the room had a nice bathroom and washroom area.” Jul 2, 2007 by
Rosalind from Crystal Lake, IL
“The hotel's location is pretty convenient for us to get around San Jose and nearby area. We upgraded our room by paying $20 more per day. Overall, it is a good hotel to stay in.” Jun 24, 2007 by
Courtney from Overland Park, KS
“Definitely not up to the 3 star + rating that I expected. The rooms were okay, but the hotel was not updated. Difficult to enter and exit the hotel. Staff was no where to be seen and was not helpful. The star bucks on site were never opened. Rooms were clean.” Jun 21, 2007 by
Jon from Torrance, CA
“Spacious, clean room, friendly staff, very convenient to all of silicon valley.” May 18, 2007 by
Eileen from Walla Walla, WA
“This is the second time I have stayed at a hotel. The room was small. The other time was near SeaTac in Seattle. It was a very poor room. ” May 5, 2007 by
Thomas from Pocatello, ID
“I would not stay here again. It is a very marginal motel.” May 4, 2007 by
Nancy from Petersburg, VA
“This hotel is like staying in a ferry fancy and upscale hotel. It was beautifully decorated and offered international, and continental breakfast free of charge. We enjoyed our stay!” May 2, 2007 by
Pam from Sacramento, CA
“I was pleasantly surprised as I have never heard of the Biltmore hotels. The location was perfect to freeway, theaters and stores. Bed was comfortable, and everything was very nice and upscale. I would love to stay there again some time.” May 1, 2007 by
Bob from Santa Rosa, CA
“A nice family friendly hotel to go away on vacation to. Great pool for swimming with the kids.” Apr 30, 2007 by
Martin from Santa Ana, CA
“Okay hotel, like a clean motel 6 unless you stay in the main building.” Apr 26, 2007 by
Paul from Montrose, CO
“Nice hotel. Very nice room. TV selection should be expanded to a full cable selection. I was there for 4 days and really would have liked a better selection for sports. VS and FSN Bay Area would have been good. The hotel was bit hard to find the first time but after that it was fine.” Apr 25, 2007 by
Antonio from Walnut, CA
“NA” Mar 28, 2007 by
Maura from Ferndale, CA
“Attractive lobby greets the traveler. Rooms are spread out over a number of wings. Room renovation going on in some corridors, making passage difficult. Not all floors accessible by elevators. Room decor attractive, rooms clean. Breakfast buffet available - adequate, but without a great deal of selection. We wondered if our experience was because of the lower price we paid for our rooms. The hotel is popular and busy - near a major airport. Surprisingly, air traffic noise was not a problem.” Mar 28, 2007 by
Antonio from Walnut, CA
“Average.” Mar 13, 2007 by
Jerrod from Arlington, TX
“Overall a nice place to stay. It was updated nicely. Very close to the Convention Center.” Mar 7, 2007 by
Zenaida from Williams, CA
“I was surprised that a 3 start hotel would be set up just like a motel with outside access to all rooms. Room was very small and bed was real small and uncomfortable.” Feb 28, 2007 by
Jennifer from The Dalles, OR
“Unsatisfactory! We were not made aware of the remodel mess we were to encounter except a sign in the lobby saying "progress in progress" we left for the evening and came back to a hallway that was a total mess. Wallpaper had been stripped and the mess was everywhere. It stayed there the entire time we were there! The smell of the wallpaper paste/remover made me have a headache. The next morning we opened our door to find a wallpaper table in front of our door. The workers were talking loudly in some foreign language. Very unpleasant stay. Should have been made more aware of what we would encounter before we registered and reached our room!”
