“Very service oriented hotel. We were not asked whether we wanted a room with 2 queen beds so we were not pleased when entered our room. We immediately called the front desk for a change - a room with a king bed. So the only rooms available with a king was for handicap guests. So we accepted and moved. The room was okay but we could hear the pool table. The registration experience set the tone for our stay. We did not feel the hotel deserve the service oriented reputation. The front desk person lack sensitivity and I would inform the hotel management of our experience if they had provided comment cards in the room.” Mar 18, 2009 by

“This would be a great hotel for a business traveler. As I was traveling for leisure, and this was the last night of my vacation and wanted something near the airport for the next morning, it did not meet my expectations. The bedding was comfortable, but no microwave and very small tv that was not flat screen. There was a nice sofa in the guest room, but you couldn't see the TV from it because it's enclosed in a huge armorer. The air conditioning didn't work, and when someone came down to look at it, they just told us it didn't work and could use the fan, never offering us a different room. None of the staff could really speak English, so asking for anything was virtually impossible. Also, the breakfast buffet looked like something out of a 1-star hotel, and they wanted $10 per person unless you were a club member.” Mar 21, 2008 by

“Lovely Asian inspired decor, staff welcoming and friendly. The only negative for us, no help with baggage, we had to load and take our bags to our room on baggage cart, then return cart to lobby. Other than that, hotel was great.” Jul 10, 2007 by

“The Moorpark is a new hotel on the 280 corridor. It is clean and comfortable, and feels like a small hotel rather than a huge conference center. Business travelers will enjoy the convenient location on 280 with excellent access to Cupertino, Santa Clara, and San Jose; families will appreciate the generously sized rooms with snack bar and refrigerator. The Moorpark is near dining, groceries, gasoline, and ice cream; you will need a car for anything else. Great shopping at Santana Row and Valley Fair is only 10 minutes away.” Jul 8, 2007 by

“After an initial bad experience with KATZ at the front desk, it was ok . Sink in bathroom was very slow to drain , and there was a light bulb out in the bathroom How could housekeeping miss both these items on cleaning? “Centrally located, this hotel is great for the business traveler. Underground parking was great for it was raining! Rooms were quiet, bed was comfortable, and staff was very friendly and made sure I was comfortable. I received a call after checking in making sure the room was acceptable to me. How nice was that? “It was unpleasant to face the line of dumpsters and awaken by the noise of the dumpster truck in early morning. Bathroom was not equipped with any soap or shampoo and some hairs were left on the floor of the bathroom. This hotel is over rated; it's not four star hotels.” Aug 21, 2006 by

“It is a nice enough hotel, but it is definitely NOT a 4-star property. This is basic business hotel/motel with nicer than usual decor. Restaurant and bar hours are very limited. Fitness room A/C didn't work. Overall, it is very average.”
