• Close to stores and restaurants.
• The hallways and rooms were a little outdated.

“The lobby was beautiful, the staff were very friendly, we felt safe there, the room we had was basic, but sufficient for our needs that weekend, close to shops and restaraunts. We would stay here again if we were in the area.”

• Room was clean and beds were comfortable.
• No complimentary Wi-Fi in room! TV remote did not work correctly and channels were not listed anywhere. Parking was distant.

“The hotel staff were very friendly and competent. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was well-appointed and clean. The common areas of the hotel were upscale and the location is excellent. The room should have had Wi-Fi, the chairs in the room were uncomfortable and poorly designed, the TV remote did not work and the TV reception was poor, the mini fridge was substandard and almost non-usable, the sink in the bathroom was an extremely poor attempt to be stylish that ended up in an unintended.”

“I had a very comfortable stay from the warm reception upon check-in to the clean and inviting room. I was able to get a great deal through Priceline and the hotel far exceeded in value the price I was able to pay. This is how booking a hotel room should be.”

“This hotel was in the heart of the Silicon Valley. I'm a very frequent business traveler but since I was only going for 1 night I left my laptop at home. I was shocked when I went to their business area and they charged me to use their computer. I have stayed in many many hotels in the Silicone Valley and have never been charged for any type of computer need including internet service for my own computer.I will not stay in this hotel again.”

• Nice, clean, and reasonably close to San Jose Arena; easy freeway on and off.
• Lack of vending machines.

“We saw a Sharks game at San Jose Arena and just needed a room for the night. The room more than met our needs and expectations; it was nice, clean, modern looking and comfortable. My only gripe was a lack of vending machines; I wanted a late night snack after the game and couldn't find any soda or snack vendors.”

“What you expect from a 4-Star hotel in terms of room and facilities. Aside for inconvenience of sometimes having trouble finding a decent parking place, the only downside is hotel is frequently crowded with conventions which means facilities/restaurants are extra busy.”

• The Modern look of the rooms.
• I can't think of anything that I didn't like about the hotel.

“I think the hotel is in a great location and that everyone appeared friendly. The staff seem to handle the guest appropriately due to the increased amount of guest present for the volleyball tournaments and the dance competitions that were being held that weekend.”

• The rooms are decorated nicely and an ipod alarm was a nice touch.
• You have to have a car, the hotel is not in walking distance to any restaurants. There is not much storage space. Internet is costly at $10/day.

“The hotel is suitable for business travelers and is in a business area. The rooms are nicely appointed decorated modernly with comfortable bedding, large LCD TV, iPod alarm clock, and decent bathroom. The location will is in a business area and there are no restaurants in walking distance. However, with a car San Jose has a wide selection of restaurants and is about a 10 minute drive to Santana Row (where dining options are plentiful). The only problems I had was that the water took a while before it got warm enough to take a shower. The washroom space was on the smaller side (only one person can fit at a time). The rooms are clean and service was excellent during my stay.”

“The Hyatt Santa Clara was a very pleasant and enjoyable stay. My room was on the fourth floor overlooking a roof level with lots of loud machines and equipment making the view horrible but I didn't go there for the view. I think Jasmin would have let me move if I had asked nicely. It was so dark when I got there I did not notice it until the morning. I would definitely stay there again and the Hyatt is above and beyond anything I have seen at a Holiday Inn, which is also supposed to be a three star.”

“This hotel was much worse than I expected. The rooms were fairly nice, but the hallways were very shabby-looking and the lobby was messy/noisy. There were children running around yelling and screaming the whole time. When we checked in, the guy told us we would need to switch rooms the next day. We had to wake up early to do so, even though we came in late that night. However, when we went to get our room changed, the person at the desk (someone else) looked confused and said that we didn't need to change rooms. Overall, I feel like this hotel really did not meet my expectations for either a 4-star hotel, or a Hyatt Regency hotel.”

• Big room, clean decor, flat panel TV, great bar downstairs, nice pool!
• There wasn't anything!

“I stayed at several hotels on my trip, and this one was last. I wish it'd been first, and I would've just stayed here the whole time! This hotel is connected to a convention center, so there may be groups attending meetings, but there's plenty of room for everyone. It's a big, clean, modern, new hotel. The staff was especially friendly. Try their "virtual concierge" - she comes to you live via video conference in the lobby. It's effective and fun.”

“Friendly, helpful staff, nice lobby area. Food is pretty good, a little bland. Room AC unit strained over 5 days to reach 69 degrees (trying to get from 72 to 66 over the 5 day period). Beds are comfortable with a good pillow assortment. The in room fridge took a long time to cool sodas & water. Perhaps it was because it was enclosed in a cabinet which was really hot.”

• The plumbing - poor customer service/communication in response to the water shutoff.

“This hotel is in a nice, convenient location to Santa Clara county amusement parks, airports, shopping and downtown sightseeing. The top floor overlooks the county with beautiful views. The room decor is modern and pleasant to the eye. The main shortcoming of the hotel experience was with communication of the staff and customer service. I visited the hotel for one night with my partner and the hotel's water needed to be shutoff. We woke up, needing to be on the road early in the morning and the only water that came out of the shower and bathroom faucets was deep brown in color. I called the front desk and they told me to let the water run. We did so for several minutes and the color of the water deepened during that period of time. We needed to hit the road for a long drive without using water in the facility (no brushing of teeth, no shower, etc.) and when I brought this to the attention of the front desk, they said too bad, would you like a free breakfast? It was only after insistence on my part that they said they would refund the room. This was not the only mechanical failure in the hotel during my stay: one of the elevators was not working which led to long lines in the lobby for the elevators. I think this could be a wonderful hotel experience if the facility's various services are working properly.”

• With a large crowd of dancers, service was a bit slow.

“On the whole, I was very satisfied with the Hyatt Santa Clara; we were there for a dance competition that my granddaughters competed in, so it was a hectic stay by nature, but the hotel was nice; service in the restaurant was a bit slow, as though they weren't prepared for the crowds.”

“Well, it made me realize I can usually always trust the chain hotels and that I cannot go with your service again (due to the terrible experience the night before at the Park 55 in San Francisco). I have stayed with Hyatt before, but will plan to stay with them more in the future due to this good experience. While your price was great for this room and hotel. Also, when checking in the hotel staff was friendly and kind. They had cookies and lemonade too! Very nice touch!”

• Loved the location. Nice place.
• Charged for internet! Shame, shame. Had major stain on carpet, otherwise, nice hotel.
