• It was clean.

• The lobby area and bar were very nice.
• The furniture and the floor in our room were very shabby and filthy.

“I think this hotel was well worth it. However, the carpet in our room was filthy and the furniture seemed old and shabby. The hotel lobby and lounge were nice and clean as were the pool and spa area.”

• My room had a balcony with fountain in the front - very nice, very romantic. I wish I had my partner with me.
• Very dull, didn't see too many people.

• Housekeeping were great, nice perk leaving bottled water in the room for free.
• Odd stains on the curtains, and staff smoking right outside the doors.

“This was a great hotel for a business and fun trip combined. Great access to South Bay and Oakland Area. The hotel staff were absolutely great, very accomodating and I really like that they leave two bottles of water a night in your room free. It was some little things like that which made it a terrific hotel.”

• Hotel chain is good.
• Not worth.

“Housekeeping is not good. Bed sheets are not clean. Lighting is not at all good. Breakfast is very expensive. No laundry facility inside the premises. Everything is pricy inside.”

• Rooms were spacious, recently renovated, and clean, with attention to details. Lobby is elegant.
• The weekend maid forgets to give us towels on both Saturday and Sunday. The weekday maid was perfect.

“The rooms in this hotel have been recently renovated and are large, well-stocked, and clean. The staff at the front desk was friendly and efficient. The hotel lobby is elegant and the bar was quite popular on weekend nights. Due to its freeway access in the East Bay and the type of facility, the hotel is a good choice for the cost conscious business traveler to the East Bay.”

• Wi-Fi did not work well, was very frustrating.

“If you have a rental car, a great cost-effective hotel from which to hold meetings in the Bay Area. But the in-hotel Wi Fi was shaky at best.”

• I hated the dirty and the worst restaurant.
• Front desk lady was horrible and stressful person.

• At night, lobby is too noisy with a live band/karaoke. Cheapens the place. I'd prefer a quiet lobby anytime.

• I liked the comfort of the bed, the availability of extra towels, the restaurant service, and the waffle.
• No toothbrush available at 12:30 am when we got in.

“This hotel is a business hotel, with few distinctive characteristics. It's comfortable, has a bar with live entertainment (sounded pretty good but we were too tired) that is patronized by locals as well as travelers, a serviceable restaurant (nothing to write home about), free parking, and nearness to Silicon Valley and lots of mini and other malls and the freeway. The beds, pillows, sheets and duvets were very comfortable. Since the bar is a local destination, it doesn't take much imagination to envision adding a fine dining restaurant or a more bistro or cafe flavor to the existing restaurant without sacrificing the travelers need for some simple food and a kids menu. It was too cold to try out the swimming and/or sports facilities but these looked quite nice. My only real complaint was a comment by the night desk clerk. I asked some information about the room was (I had called earlier in the day, spoken with a very nice reservations clerk who took all of my needs/suggestions into account and said she'd block out a particular room for us.). Our rooms were upgraded to excellent rooms, had my needs met, etc. without once being told I'm so lucky to get this room.”

• Wonderful beds.
• Air conditioning is not the best, kept turning off.

“This is an older Hilton, but very well maintained. Rooms are modern, clean and very comfortable. Some of the best towels, better than most 4 star hotels. Staff is friendly and helpful. Beds are the most comfortable, much better than Marriott "heavenly beds". Great overall experience.”

• We had family reunions at this Hilton and them always been accommodating. The facility is very clean and nicely appointed.
• We needed a handicap room and we got one for a blind person on the 2nd floor. Bad news for a wheelchair bound person.

“We go to this Hilton often. The service is tops especially if you are having a large family gathering.”

• The free bottled water and Imelda, who works the front desk.
• Tired bathroom with low showerhead; somewhat difficult to operate climate controls.

“The Hilton Newark/Fremont is conveniently located just off Highway 880. Upon check-in, my wife and I were greeted by the friendly and efficient, Imelda. She made both of us feel very welcome at the hotel and was the highlight of the hotel. Our room was typical for a 3 star property with better than average bed, pillows, and towels. The bathroom, while not dirty, was a bit tired, and the showerhead was too low for both me and my wife. Our nights in the room were pleasant with minimal noise intrusion from the hall and no noticeable noise from adjacent rooms. My wife and I would not hesitate to stay here again when visiting the south bay; though I hope that Imelda's personality rubs off on the rest of the front desk staff, one of whom was neither pleasant nor unpleasant, just there.”

• Very clean and comfortable rooms.
• As it was a graduation weekend, there were many young graduates being loud in the halls and surrounding rooms.

“From the inside to the outside, the hotel was nice looking and very clean. The staff was very friendly with greetings upon my return and salutations as I departed. I was a comfortable guest and very much enjoyed my short stay.”

• The room was very inviting, clean and comfortable. Loved the duvet.

• Close to the mall and right off the highway.
• No free internet, no free copies nor faxes. Pretty generic hotel.

“We went to the Hilton Freemont for a wedding and had an easy time finding it from the so airport in our rental car. We've never been to san Francisco, and it's right off the highway and close to a major mall and lots of places to eat. While the hotel wedding reception was pretty generic, the staff was nice and the food was acceptable. This hotel is just one small step up from your typical chain hotel with some nice upgrades like granite countertops in the bathrooms, exceptionally comfortable beds, and very friendly front desk & housekeeping staff. We were very happy with our stay, but we weren't expecting all too much with it being a suburban chain hotel. All in all, a very comfortable stay at an exceptional price.”

• Lovely linens, marble lobby & Crabtree/ Evelyn toiletries.
• Cold looking, not kid-friendly in public areas.

“This is a beautiful hotel in a tacky location. You need a car to get to any decent restaurants. The staff is very non-existent at night-time, and I had problems with the heating/ AC in the middle of the night.”
