• Proximity to beach and Boardwalk
• Outdated, (Area is overpriced)

“Hotel was pretty much exactly what we expected. Close prox. to beach/boardwalk (2 blocks) and it's a place to crash. The fridge was nice, microwave too. We took our 2 year old and it was fine...breakfast was decent. Nothing too exciting or terrible to report...which is what we expected. Service was friendly.”

• Clean room, good location, friendly staff.

“It met our expectations for last minute planning. Good location near university, downtown and boardwalk. Clean facilities, comfortable beds, and friendly staff. Continental breakfast was good.”

• For the price, this hotel was a good value. It is just a short walk to the Boardwalk and beach.
• Parking was a little tight.

• It was only a block from the boardwalk. We parked in front of our room.
• The restroom was small. But that is OK.

“I was in one of the lower rooms. We parked right in front of the room. I had a nice time at this hotel. It was quite at night. It is only a block from the boardwalk. I will stay here again.”

• Location, 2 blocks from the boardwald.
• Poor maintenance, fixture failures.

“When we checked in I think the clerk put us in the absolutely cheapest room available. After I complained about light fixtures not working, we were move to a different (slightly better in appearance) room. The location was great, we were able to walk to the beach. Continental breakfast was acceptable. On the second night the Bathroom faucet broke off in my hands! I like the location but will find something better next time.”

• Clean and cozy.
• Complaint of TV volume (very low) while in bed and half a sleep (9:15pm) paper thin walls maybe.

“My overall experience was excellent; parking was very convenient with no complaints. No complaints at all. I would recommend to others in spite of being awakened to turn-off the television.”

• It was near the center of Santa Cruz, which was where I needed to be.
• Wireless internet service spotty at best, if people need internet access, this is not the hotel to choose.

“Sliding window should have a piece of wood that can be dropped in the rails to prevent the window from being opened from outside; wireless internet connectibility not the greatest, if breakfast is from 7am to 10am; the breakfast area should be open at 7am.otherwise, location is ideal if you need to see Santa Cruz; everything is within walking distance or a short bicycle ride.”

• Loved the dirty bathroom and the exposed wires on the wall.
• Disgusting, horrid, filthy and I wouldn't let my dog stay there.

“One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. People didn't speak English. The bathroom was disgusting. The wall where the microwave was plugged in all the wires were exposed in threw the hole in the wall. This hotel rates a minus 4 star and should be condemned.”

• Convenient location; a couple blocks away from the boardwalk.
• Costumer service was lacking professionalism.

• I enjoyed being so close to the boardwalk. The complimentary breakfast was good.
• Staff was late having breakfast ready at 7 a.m. As they stated that it would be.

“Proximity to beach and boardwalk were good. Breakfast was good, but late. At the time that we stayed, traffic noise was not a problem, but it could be in the summer months. Rooms were clean.”

• Location.
• Service was totally unacceptable. The TV did not work and they mad NO effort to replace it or refund my $ or discount my $ in anyway.

“This hotel staff was unprepared and did not help resolve my problem at all. "Sorry" doesn¿t cut the mustard. They were unable or unwilling to help me or offer any kind of discount or compensation in anyway.”

• Parking is terrible, very crowded. Don't bring your pick-up.

• The little pool was good for my young daughter to swim in.
• We could hear sounds at night from other guests, and the cable had limited channels.

“The breakfast in the morning was nice, but the sounds heard at night by the other guests and hotel across the street was not calming. Parking was tight too.”
