• Was clean, easy to find and had a modest but good and fresh complementary breakfast.
• The hotel wasn't in walking distance to anything.

• The location was great.
• Room was disgusting and smelled of smoke, even though non-smoking room. Front desk clerk was unwilling to change our room.

“Location was great with access to highways. However, the hotel needs a renovation. The continental breakfast was satisfactory. However, the access to the breakfast area was difficult because it's in a small room.”

• The room was clean and the service very friendly.
• The room was not ready to check in upon early arrival and although they were to call when ready, did not.

“This is a cute and convenient hotel that is family friendly. It is near the Boardwalk and several eating establishments.”

• Hotel was clean, nice rooms, heated pool, continental breakfast, good location.
• Water pressure in shower was terribly low. Pool closes too early. Continental breakfast needs more options.

“Great environment, surrounded by trees, featuring clean rooms with flatscreen TVs. The hotel also has a heated pool of decent size. Better than expected and far superior to the Comfort Inn closer to the Boardwalk.”

• Non-smoking rooms reeked of smoke, mold in bathroom.

“Our experience here was terrible. The non-smoking rooms smelled like smoking rooms. There was black mold along the walls in the bathroom. Hotel management wasn't interested in trying to satisfy us, despite the customer satisfaction guarantee posted in the rooms. Stay away from here!”

• The pool closing so early. Rooms were a little expensive during weekdays.

• Pool to hot stinky rooms.

“The day we came we had to take or luggage on a stairway. there is no towels at pool area one day we came in and its smelled like someone was smoking and on the back of the door it had said "enjoy your smoke free room" right next to freeway. Loud cars at night. Will never come to this hotel again.”

• Although not close to the beach, it's five minutes by car from the beach and restaurants.
• Not much parking for larger vehicles, water was extremely hot.

“Not knowing the area, I went for price. For the price on a Holiday weekend, the room was very nice and the pool and spa were clean. The free breakfast was better then expected as well. The motel is located right off the highway when you exit into Santa Cruz to your left and its about five minutes from the beach and downtown for good restaurants.”

• Nice location.
• Beds, smell.

“Nice motel. Clean enough. Beds were horrible. There was an "unidentified" odor in the room. Not overbearing but definitely lingering. Not sure what it was, hopefully it was a cleaning agent! he staff was nice. I would stay there again.”

• Breakfast selection much improved, comfortable bed and pillows!
• Pressure in shower was very low. Needs new shower heads.

• Friendly staff.
• No hot water.

“The staff was friendly. The room smelled musty and adequately cleaned. But, on Saturday morning when my family woke up, we had to take Luke warm showers. The staff told me that maybe a lot of people were taking showers at the same time and that was the reason for no hot water. I expect to have hot water. I would never stay at this motel again.”

• The pool temp was great.
• Smelled like feet.

“I called the reception when I was lost and a recorder picked up, I asked for a return call and did not get one. When we arrived there was no one at the counter, and had to wait about 10 minutes.”

• Room clean, lots of pillows, bed great, breakfast great, price was right.
• Asked for downstairs room when called, but did not get. Not enough parking.

“The price we received for our stay was great. The hotel was well maintained. The rooms were clean and there were four pillows to each bed. Microwave, refrigerator, coffee pot with coffee, sugar and cream in room. It is fine for sleeping, but not sort of small (we had room with two double beds). The staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.”

• The staff, very accommodating.
• Did not change sheets, my son had an accident at night and the room still smelled after they cleaned it.

“Overall this was a nice place to stay. Like I stated above even though people are staying overnight again, sheets should be changed every day in every room. The staff was very friendly. As soon as I brought it to their attention, they fixed the problem.”
