• The decorating and furniture were very new and very fun.
• There was no hot tub.

“This hotel was first rate. From the leopard print robes to the granite top bathroom counters, everything was immaculate. The beds were comfy and room controlled heating was quiet and efficient. The pool is a two-minute walk away from the hotel. Although this hotel caters mostly to business travelers, it makes a lovely weekend destination for families.”

“The hotel was above my expectations. I had no idea Kimpton was even around let alone a quality hotel. Employees were very attentive and friendly. I would stay again in a heartbeat. Service is Key. Think put-side the box.”

• Staff was very friendly and helpful, bed & linens were extremely comfortable.
• Entrance was rather different, had to go to front desk for services (valet, bellman, etc).

• No perfume sometimes used to cover up smoking from years past.
• The view from my room was into a business complex; soap to perfume.

“I loved the luxurious tiger themed room. The temperature control was accurate and easy to use. The registration desk personnel were relaxed and very friendly! I felt safe walking at night to the nearby shopping area. A wonderful surprise after a long drive from the long beach area.”

• The staff was extremely helpful!
• You need to go to the hotel desk to request upgrade.

“This is one of the best new hotels in the South Bay! It was my wedding night, and the hotel brought us a complementary bottle of wine and chocolates and a nice note. I would highly recommend this hotel to any business/leisure traveler.”

• Somewhat confusing to find the entrance off Deanza blvd.

• They accommodated us by giving my daughter and family nearly adjoining rooms. All in town for a wedding.
• A little difficult to find the entry.

“This is a fine example of the Kempton chain, funky luxury, wine reception in the evening, coffee bar setup in the am. There is free covered parking and the location puts you squarely in the center of silicon valley.”

• Luxurious, eclectic decor. Meticulously maintained, spotlessly clean.
• Noisy group of partiers on our floor kept us awake.

“I loved my stay at the Cypress. We spent one night there after a day trip to Santa Cruz, and wish we could have stayed longer. There's a rich, luxurious feel to the rooms, and a refreshingly eclectic décor definitely not the typically bland scheme found in most hotels. The bedding is plush and the pillows and mattress were just the right firmness for me.”

• No convenient parking. Valet automatically charges $19.00 per night.

“Other than having the automatic charge for parking tacked onto the bill, everything was comfortable. The parking charge was unexpected but does to the location; it was understandable as the hotel was in a congested area of Phoenix. We would love to stay there again now that we know what to expect as to parking. This hotel is perfect if you are going to the ball game.”

• Wig If could be the faster G spec than the older B spec.

“This is one of the best hotels in the area. The beds are extremely comfortable, which is hard to come by at a hotel. The service was excellent and the decor was bold and fun. I will stay here every time I come to the San Jose area!”

• The yoga, meditation, and staff.
• I can't.

“It's just a wonderful place; I love to stay at the cypress. You cant go wrong. I drink coffee, so I ask and a coffee maker is brought to my room in min. The staff is wonderful and its clean. Great free meditation, workouts and yoga too.”

• Truly caters to biz travelers - free wireless internet.
• Pool located a small distance from hotel.

“Very safe and good location for driving to area state parks, San Jose, etc. Excellent restaurant which is open very good hours in case you need food. Comfortable beds and neat design. Good bath products. Honor bar - they let you use the fridge for your stuff if you want to without charging you for opening it. Nice place.”

• The hotel is very clean and comfortable.
• No fan in the bathroom and parking garage had limited spaces. No coffee in my room.

“I would definitely stay at a Kimpton Hotel again. My stay was comfortable and the rooms were very clean. Coffee was inconvenient but available and tasty. I had breakfast and it was really delicious and the waiters were very attentive. I will be back!”

“The hotel couldn't have been more comfortable, clean, and well appointed. However, we were given a room on the 3rd floor -- a floor which was also occupied by a wedding party. We had to call security on both of our nights at the hotel because there was such rowdy, noisy behavior in the adjoining rooms and in the hall. On Sat. night, we actually called security X2 because the party would not end, and there was eventually a fight (sounded like a brawl) between several men/women in the hallway. In the morning, the hallway was littered with alcohol bottles, napkins, and garbage. When we checked into the hotel, we asked for a quiet room. We feel like the registration desk should have known better than to put us (60's in age) amid a bunch of rowdy young people who were obviously in the hotel to celebrate.”

• Complimentary cookies, wine, beer and lemonade. Pet friendly.
• The pool was off site. We had to walk two blocks to get to it. They offered complimentary Internet access which was not true.

“The overall experience was good. The location was great and there were many restaurants to choose from in the area. The rooms were very clean and spacious and the bath products were awesome. I do think that having to walk 2 blocks to the pool was bothersome, especially when you have children with you. The staff was very friendly and the lobby was cozy.”

• Well maintained.
• Parking garage is convenient but the spaces are very tight, requiring considerable maneuvering to get in and out of spaces.

“Nice enough of a hotel but in no way would I compare it to a four-star hotel, such as a Hyatt or a Hilton. Three stars are all I would be willing to bestow.”

• Colorful decor, friendly staff, and wonderful nightly reception. Plus leopard print robes in rooms!
• I wish there had been a coffee maker in the room-hassle to go downstairs for coffee in morning and I like decaf tea at night.

“I love all Kempton hotels, but the cypress was especially nice. The staff was friendly and hospitable, the rooms were very comfy and the free nightly wine reception is just a wonderful way to end the day (one night, they were even giving away free massages!). The area is suburban, but there is a star bucks and a bagel shop across the street and several good, inexpensive restaurants in a three-four block radius. Cupertino is also very pedestrian friendly so you can leave the car in the free parking garage at the hotel and explore on foot. A wonderful value in a convenient location.”

“This hotel is way more than one would expect for the price paid. When arriving, one would not believe the fantastic appearance of the hotel. Complimentary parking garage, comfortable and convenient lobby, and a very nice room, with nice amenities I came back from this hotel, and have already decided to book my next stay there, as well as telling friends and family of the hotel as a place for them to choose when staying in the San Jose area.”

“This hotel was a lot of fun. The rooms are decorated in animal print motifs and have very nice, sophisticated furniture and amenities. We especially loved the bed linens (so comfortable) and Aleda bath products. The hotel had cookies and apples available in the afternoon, a wine hour, an available outdoor pool. It was a lovely hotel.”

• The decor was great. The restaurant on site was wonderful. Quiet.
• When we checked in there were 2 bathrobes in the closet. Upon check out only one. We didn't take it.

• The decor caught my attention. The robes in the room were great to have. The complimentary coffee/tea is appreciated.
• Pool too far away and shared with other businesses. Parking not appropriate but staff accommodated our needs.
