• The mattress was very cheap also the TV. We expected higher end.

• Great check-in experience. I had a few requests, quickly filled. Gym was fabulous, spa also.
• No dislikes, this is a great place to stay. While I did not have children, it also seems quite family friendly.

“Like a mini-"W" hotel without the big price! Wonderful, central location. An outstanding staff and I mean everyone I had contact with went out of their way to make me happy. Very nice amenities esp., the gym which rivals the "Equinox" in South Beach, Boston and Newport Beach for its decor, cleanliness and serious weights and equipment. The spa was very nice and then you finished your day off with a pool side drink. All this at a very reasonable price. I consider this hotel to be almost a resort.”

• Attractive, very clean, great staff and fabulous beds!
• Not enough parking for the number of participants.

“The hotel was very quiet, the beds were cozy and comfy, the buffet breakfast, was bad! Maybe off the menu would be best. Gym access was great, very high tech equipment. Good staff.”

• Has everything you need onsite-excellent room, fitness facilities, and restaurant.
• Valet parking is the only option.

“We enjoyed this hotel. The restaurant has healthy options as you would expect from a fitness center, and the service was excellent. Although Valet parking is the only option, the staff had our car ready every time we called within five minutes. If you like a modern hotel, with every fitness option available, this is your hotel.”

• Needed full size mirror in room & more counter space.

“Beautiful hotel from the moment you walked in. Child of 8 loved the pool, child of 11 said he wanted it deeper. Only goes to 4 ft. They both loved the big gym to play basketball. Locker room was supplied with lotions, and combs, towels, shampoo, soaps, etc. Could've been a little more private in dressing areas. Breakfast was way overpriced and so was the valet. I don't think they had regular parking. The staff was always friendly.”

• The people there where very pleasant and polite.
• You can not do your own parking. You have to have valet parking.

“The hotel was really nice I really enjoyed staying there. The only things I did not like is you have to have your car valet parking. I feel we should be able to park our car ourselves unless we want to have valet parking. What if people did not have the funds for tips and valet parking so there getting by with extra on that.”

• Everyone was extremely friendly, much more than on previous trips. Staff must have gone to customer relations meetings.
• I miss the Featherbeds. I would like restaurant to be open until 11:00 or 12 PM. I arrive late usually.

“Very efficient and modern hotel in great vicinity for touring the entire Bay Area. I wish you still had the Featherbeds and the cool blue night lights in the bedrooms.”

• Spacious well-decorated rooms.
• At this price level, I would expect in-room refrigerator and microwave. Parking is Valet-only unfortunately.

“Hotel is a little off the beaten path but is new, well-decorated and its selling point is its association with the health club in the same building. The rooms are modern, clean, and well-decorated but lack amenities such as a refrigerator or microwave. Valet-only parking is a drawback.”

• The staff was extremely attentive, and respectful, unbelievable.

“This hotel is easy to find, and well respected within the bay area in CA. Because it has a state of the art health club, including all types of current aerobics, racquet ball, work out facilities, its a great way to meet locals. Very exclusive retreat, Also, 4 swimming pools! This hotel is an outstanding Value, you dont have to give up your health to travel, and rather, it becomes entertainment!”

• The fitness center was just WONDERFUL, Clean and full of options. Comfy beds. Staff as friendly and helpful as they could be.
• No microwave oven in the room! Only 3 available hotels wide.

“I loved this place, for many reasons. The staff were so friendly and helpful. People seemed very happy to be working there. The fitness center was just wonderful, and I felt truly refreshed, well-exercised and well-rested. We will definitely go back, as it may be our favorite hotel ever because of the fitness center. Sunday brunch was really special at the hotel restaurant. We'll bring our own microwave oven next time, as there were none available! Only 3 for the whole hotel. We wanted to heat up leftovers.”

• Very high quality, contemporary, yet highly functional, love the club sport aspect.
• Getting a double bed vs. A queen/king when alone.

“One of my favorites. The amenities that are essential (food, room, parking etc) are nice yet not over the top expensive. But the things that really make a difference to a business traveler (the workout club, decor, location and most of all service) are top notch.”

• Hotel restaurant is dismal, 14.00 buffet breakfasts, ridiculous.

“This hotel is in walnut creek caliph and tryst to act like it's in Downtown Seattle, 15.00 valet parking with no choice to park your own, 14.00 buffet breakfasts (in a health club?) With no other choice for hot sit down breakfast, no full length mirror in room, dinner menu is expensive and pathetic. Worst I can remember. It's not 4 stars it's just snooty!”

• There was an odd smell in the hallway area.

“Truly a resort experience! Whoever the designer was for this hotel knew what they were doing. The way they brought the broad spectrum of colors together is amazing. The staff is motivated and has the tools to do their job without having to check with a manager for something which is very irritating to a guest. The staff is awesome and so helpful!”

• Timely elevators, clean room, great shower, very quiet and could not hear neighbors.
• Valet parking extra, would have rather parked ourselves.

“Very personable staff, from front desk to valet park - all extremely polite and efficient. Very spacious comfortable rooms, poor quality room service - tea ordered was not hot, Scottish smoked salmon was not Scottish at all (was Pacific), and old. My USA today was taken from outside my door.”

• The bathrooms were incredible.
• The beds were a bit small.

“This was a pretty darn good hotel, especially for the price. The bathrooms were incredibly well-appointed and the room looked quite elegant. The facilities were ok, but since it is also a health club, extremely busy. The only reason this hotel does not get my full support is because on our last day there, my wife slipped and fell on wet marble coming out of the elevator. The staff was not at all compassionate or concerned for her safety when informed of the dangerous situation.”

“We have actually stayed here a number of times but this time was bad. Maid knocking at door early and started to come in. Tub didn't drain, had to take the drain apart, and rips in sheets, very bad service at restaurant.”

• Staff is always busy when you need help. They gave you shampoo when you asked for conditioner.

“We need to wait for 30 minutes to check in. We asked for a King bed, but a 2-double was given, so we need to change it. Room smells strange and there is no view at all. We asked for conditioners but they gave us conditioners.”

• Did not meet 4-star rating. Rooms too small. Parking cost more than room.

“Very disappointed. Was seeking 4-star king bed deluxe suite for romantic weekend. Received queen bed small room with only 3 feet or less of space on each side of bed & not a suite with sitting or living space. No place/space to eat room service meals. No parking! On premises or off street. Forced to use valet parking @ $30 a day! First impression of room was that of a newly made over motel 6. In fact motel 6 has more living space. Very disappointed and did not stay more than 5 minutes & requested room change.”

• Rooms were very hip, well appointed and gym was excellent.
• No walking access to services off-site, i.e. Other restaurants or cocktail lounges.

“Great hotel - young, hip, but also family friendly. The gym benefits and classes, pool etc. Were a great benefit. All the eating establishments had very well prepared but healthy, upscale California spa preparation. It was an excellent place to bring children or grandchildren, but as a single person, I wasn't annoyed by noise or chaos from the kids.”

• The room was beautiful with a comfortable bed and nice bathtub and shower.
• Valet only. It was not conducive to getting things in and out of your car while everyone is waiting for you.

“This hotel is very upscale, and beautiful. The room was beautifully decorated with a big, comfortable bed. The bathroom was much nicer than most hotels I have stayed at. It had a large shower, with a nice bathtub and two shower heads. It was very clean, and the staff was very friendly. The only thing that I didn't like was the fact that the hotel was valet only. My wife and I were on our way to camp in Northern California, so we had our car completely packed with supplies. Once we found out it was valet only, we drove to a nearby grocery store to try and get out exactly what we needed for the night, and put it on our laps so that we could get out of our car right away. Otherwise, everyone would have been waiting 30 minutes for us in the middle of the driveway.”

“This is a great place to go if you like to work out, want a quiet place to rest after business, if you like to work out or especially if you have kids. I came there as a business traveler with a baby and found, to my delight, that they have childcare. If you are a guest in the hotel, you can leave any child over 6 months old at the childcare for $5 an hour for up to 3 hours! Every day! It was a nice break for me. The food is good. The people couldn't be more friendly and helpful. And it is a beautiful, nice place, where they think of lots of extras like an apple in your room and very cushy beds with down comforters. I highly recommend it!”
