• I love the amenities - gym and pool access.
• I do not like the valet set up where every time you come/go you have to valet. I did not like that there was not a mini fridge in the room -- 4 stars?

“Awesome hotel in so many ways, but no fridge makes for when you stay longer a hassle. Valet parking only which is a hassle again if you are coming and going a lot.”

• The shower and the staff.
• No parking had to valet each time we parked. Not a lot of variety for room service.

“This hotel would have been awesome for a business traveler who likes to eat granola and is fitness. The location wasn't suitable for my daughter and I who am 26.There was no food establishments located in or around the hotel. There was one snack place inside the hotel that served all health nut foods. Also, there was no self-serve parking. We had to valet each time we were to come back to the hotel. The shower they had was amazing and the room was nicely decorated. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to families or leisure adults, only business people.”

“Overall, a great place to stay, play and exercise. It has it all and is close to everything in the Bay Area. The only downfall was the wait staff in the restaurant. I was very impressed with the staff of the hotel and the fitness club. Very friendly and professional.”

• Staff was very friendly and responsive to requests. The location is incredibly convenient and yet you feel like you are at a spa.
• Feels like continuous tipping required for car access.

• Expensive food for the quality, pool is part of a fitness club and overcrowded with kids.

“This hotel only receives it's listed 4 star rating by its amenities; however, the quality is not significant. The rooms were supposedly remodeled but are already falling apart. Sheets are standard quality. Food is very expensive and not very competitive for its prices. Mandatory valet parking. The club is a community fitness club so there are allot of children with their parents you need to fight off in order to swim laps. Great basketball gym and staff are very helpful. There are no restaurants or bodegas nearby, so if you want to walk to get a bite to eat, you can't. Which means you have to get valet to pull your car out. The valet attendants were very prompt and helpful, but when I'm on a business trip, I'd like to be able to walk a few blocks to purchase a soda or a sandwich. The hotel's menu is way over-priced (breakfast $12, all you can eat breakfast $14, I just wanted a bowl of oatmeal and can't believe those prices are expected to be paid. If you are in the Walnut Creek/Pleasanton area, I would recommend the Marriot Pleasanton over this place. Better food, higher quality rooms, nice facilities, and mall nearby.”

• The beds were so comfy I thought I was on a cloud.
• The room smelled like a hotel room and I couldn't open the window for fresh air.

“It's a lovely place to stay if you don't need fresh air in the rooms, the air conditioner doesn't freshen the air unless you have it on very cold.”

“I cannot recommend this hotel enough to friends or family. I was very sick when I arrived, and they moved me to the top floor so I wouldn't hear walking above me. When the bell man took our stuff upstairs, he immediately went and got me ice, turned on the AC and put out the do-not-disturb sign for me. Unbelievable Service!”

• The hotel rooms were very comfortable because they had thermostats you could set. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
• They did not have any self parking for the hotel it was all valet parking.

“The hotel was very nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful. What was really nice was as a guest of the hotel, you could use the sports facility. I took a swim in the pool later in the evening and the temperature of the water was nice and warm, very comfortable. I used the spa and dry sauna after my swim. Both were very nice. There were plenty of towels available and shampoo and conditioner in the showers. The locker rooms had supplies the guests could use such as hair dryers and q-tips. The locker room also had lockers that were coded; the quest did not need to keep track of a key. In enjoyed my stay.”

• The staff was very friendly and helpful. Valet parking was excellent.
• Cell phone reception (singular) was sporadic. Web TV is a disaster.

“The hotel was very nice. The staff is excellent. The pools were warm so taking the kids swimming was much more enjoyable. I generally dislike Valet Parking as we are in and out 3-4 times a day. I decided I would leave one large tip the end of a three day stay and it didn't seem to reduce the level of service one bit. I also felt better about my wife and kids not having to walk through a parking lot in a strange city alone at night.”

“Made my trip so much more enjoyable because the staff had a friendly attitude and helpfulness that went above and beyond. And it was the entire staff. Even checking out, the bellman asked if we had picked up our phone charger and checked the closets. He did it in such a nice manner, that it felt like a friend helping another friend. Excellent!”

• I loved the enthusiasm of the staff. They were all very accommodating!

“The accommodations at this hotel were beautiful and the staff was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the area, but at 6:45 am I was awakened to the sound of a fire alarm buzzer and a voice telling me to evacuate my room immediately. It was a little unnerving but I understand the fire alarm is a protection mechanism so was more than happy to get out. I waited, along with other hotel guests, in the parking area for approximately 15 minutes and then someone came out and said it was okay to go back in as it was a false alarm. Again, I appreciate the safety measures in getting us up and out of the building, however, I was really looking forward to sleeping in on Saturday morning!”

• Poor parking faculties, forced to valet at $18 per night. That should be disclosed.

“This is a brand new hotel and if you are looking for the ultimate workout facility while you travel this is the place to go. Parking is an issue; they force you to Valet at $18 per night.”

• Great check-in experience. I had a few requests, quickly filled. Gym was fabulous, spa also.
• No dislikes, this is a great place to stay. While I did not have children, it also seems quite family friendly.

“Like a mini-"W" hotel without the big price! Wonderful, central location. An outstanding staff and I mean everyone I had contact with went out of their way to make me happy. Very nice amenities esp., the gym which rivals the "Equinox" in South Beach, Boston and Newport Beach for its decor, cleanliness and serious weights and equipment. The spa was very nice and then you finished your day off with a pool side drink. All this at a very reasonable price. I consider this hotel to be almost a resort.”

• Valet parking is the only option.

“We enjoyed this hotel. The restaurant has healthy options as you would expect from a fitness center, and the service was excellent. Although Valet parking is the only option, the staff had our car ready every time we called within five minutes. If you like a modern hotel, with every fitness option available, this is your hotel.”

• Needed full size mirror in room & more counter space.

“Beautiful hotel from the moment you walked in. Child of 8 loved the pool, child of 11 said he wanted it deeper. Only goes to 4 ft. They both loved the big gym to play basketball. Locker room was supplied with lotions, and combs, towels, shampoo, soaps, etc. Could've been a little more private in dressing areas. Breakfast was way overpriced and so was the valet. I don't think they had regular parking. The staff was always friendly.”

• The people there where very pleasant and polite.
• You can not do your own parking. You have to have valet parking.

“The hotel was really nice I really enjoyed staying there. The only things I did not like is you have to have your car valet parking. I feel we should be able to park our car ourselves unless we want to have valet parking. What if people did not have the funds for tips and valet parking so there getting by with extra on that.”

• Everyone was extremely friendly, much more than on previous trips. Staff must have gone to customer relations meetings.
• I miss the Featherbeds. I would like restaurant to be open until 11:00 or 12 PM. I arrive late usually.

“Very efficient and modern hotel in great vicinity for touring the entire Bay Area. I wish you still had the Featherbeds and the cool blue night lights in the bedrooms.”

• Spacious well-decorated rooms.
• At this price level, I would expect in-room refrigerator and microwave. Parking is Valet-only unfortunately.

“Hotel is a little off the beaten path but is new, well-decorated and its selling point is its association with the health club in the same building. The rooms are modern, clean, and well-decorated but lack amenities such as a refrigerator or microwave. Valet-only parking is a drawback.”

“This hotel is easy to find, and well respected within the bay area in CA. Because it has a state of the art health club, including all types of current aerobics, racquet ball, work out facilities, its a great way to meet locals. Very exclusive retreat, Also, 4 swimming pools! This hotel is an outstanding Value, you dont have to give up your health to travel, and rather, it becomes entertainment!”

• The fitness center was just WONDERFUL, Clean and full of options. Comfy beds. Staff as friendly and helpful as they could be.
• No microwave oven in the room! Only 3 available hotels wide.

“I loved this place, for many reasons. The staff were so friendly and helpful. People seemed very happy to be working there. The fitness center was just wonderful, and I felt truly refreshed, well-exercised and well-rested. We will definitely go back, as it may be our favorite hotel ever because of the fitness center. Sunday brunch was really special at the hotel restaurant. We'll bring our own microwave oven next time, as there were none available! Only 3 for the whole hotel. We wanted to heat up leftovers.”

• Very high quality, contemporary, yet highly functional, love the club sport aspect.
• Getting a double bed vs. A queen/king when alone.

• Hotel restaurant is dismal, 14.00 buffet breakfasts, ridiculous.

“This hotel is in walnut creek caliph and tryst to act like it's in Downtown Seattle, 15.00 valet parking with no choice to park your own, 14.00 buffet breakfasts (in a health club?) With no other choice for hot sit down breakfast, no full length mirror in room, dinner menu is expensive and pathetic. Worst I can remember. It's not 4 stars it's just snooty!”

• There was an odd smell in the hallway area.

“Truly a resort experience! Whoever the designer was for this hotel knew what they were doing. The way they brought the broad spectrum of colors together is amazing. The staff is motivated and has the tools to do their job without having to check with a manager for something which is very irritating to a guest. The staff is awesome and so helpful!”

• Valet parking extra, would have rather parked ourselves.
