• Clean, beautiful setting, quiet.
• Sunday morning there were trucks unloading for auction running for 2 hours.

“Good central location to Stanford area, clean and well maintained, staff listened to my wishes concerning not changing the sheets and towels every day.”

“The hotel was what we had expected. It is a very nice and modern hotel. Our issue was with the hotel staff. We arrived around 6:00. As we approached the check-in desk, there were 2 hotel staff members who seemed to be working on something on the computers. It took them 10 minutes to finally say 'be right with you'. After 5 more min, we were greeted with a name. They were just not friendly at all.”

• The first night, our air conditioner did not seem to work - a fan was brought to the room and the next night we moved to a comfortably - air conditioned.
• Service at breakfast buffet was not great. We asked for items on the buffet which had run-out (sausage/bacon), but is was never refilled.

“Overall a good experience. Close to Stanford. Staff was very friendly and customer service was good.”

“The hotel itself was quite nice especially from the outside. We had the room closest to the lobby with a view of a wall, and the occupancy rate of the entire hotel was not at 50%. Very disappointing!”

• Fast guest services, convenient business center.
• Location, poor sound proof.

“This is a very new hotel. The hotel is good for business travelers, especially if you own a car. The staff was helpful, and check-ins and check-outs are smooth. The internet was free for the guests, which was a bonus since I was expecting to pay for the internet. They also have a business center, with fully equipped computer services. My only complaint is the location: because the hotel is located far away from the city center, it was not convenient to get anywhere. A cab drive to the city center was around 15 dollars, so is the drive to Stanford University. Ask the front desk to call a taxi for you before you take off.”

• From check-in to check-out the hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
• As you passed to our room, the pay phone area was all ripped out like it had been ripped from wall.

“From check-in to check-out, the hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is definitely catered to a business crowd with many meeting rooms but it still had a leisure atmosphere you felt relaxed in. There was little to no noise outside our room and their "sleep enhancement" CD, sleep mask, ear plugs, and spray was a nice touch. I played the CD and fell asleep! I would recommend this hotel.”

• Too many kids staying there for soccer tournament.

• A wonderful place to stay.
• Our room was in the back.

“Hotel was very pleasing. They had construction going on during our trip and began working early in the morning with chain saws and other loud power equipment. The exercise room was small with only two treadmills, a small weight system, and an elliptical machine. It did not fit my expected profile as an exercise room. As an easy going traveler I didn't mind some of the inconvenience, but I'd appreciate it if I was traveling to know these things in advance. Parking cost $10 a day.”

• Very quiet for the area it is in.
• The shower head desperate - it needs to be higher. The doors are extremely loud when they close, waking me up every time.

“I have stayed here three times now, and have enjoyed it each time. The staffs are great and the rooms are comfortable. My only complaints are that the shower is small and the shower head too short. I would awaken with a start each time a door would close near my room, too loud!”

• The water from the faucets tasted terrible, and bottled water too expensive!

“One of the best nights' sleep I have gotten in a long time while in a hotel! We loved the soft bedding and the flavored water served in the lobby. A very nice hotel for the price we paid!”

• Attractive rooms, excellent outdoor patio/BBQ area with pool and hot tub, gift of earplugs and pillow spray, etc was nicely placed on our pillow.

“I would definitely stay here again. This hotel was very clean, with many amenities. We received a nice gift of pillow spray, ear plugs, spiced nuts, etc upon arrival to our room. Very pleasant staff. My sister left her bag at the desk upon checking in, and they were kind enough to bring it up to our room. This hotel was beyond expectations!”

• Restaurant a little pricey. Otherwise all was fine.

• Staff left old room service trays outside for a long time.

“Decent distance from Stanford University. Seems to have a new part and an old part. We were assigned a room in the old part. Our biggest problem with the stay was that there was room service trays outside out door (even though we never ordered room service) and outside other doors along our row of rooms for several hours (some over 24 hours). They only picked these trays up after we called to complain. Showed a lack of attention to detail.”

• Very nice staff. Refrigerator in room. Lavender bed spray, ear plugs & mask kit was a nice touch.
• Terrible views from room. Could hear party through window. Tepid hot tub.

“Very professional staff. Fabulous Sunday brunch (separate charge). Nice big pool. Room was average size, small bathroom. Refrigerator in room but no microwave. Views are obstructed and we could hear the party in one of the reception rooms through our window. Hot tub was tepid temperature at best. Wouldn't pay full price but a decent value for the price.”

• Great interiors and lots of leisure space - pool, hot tub, putting green, outdoor seating.
• Being treated as "second class" guest & being given a poorly located room.

“This is an older hotel which has been renovated and added-on to. Room choice & location is important to the enjoyment of a stay. Good indoor-outdoor eating/relaxing areas.”

“ I was very impressed by the convenience, the cleanness and the services. I got lost finding it, but when I called for directions, the respondent was very helpful and gave me very clear directions. The room was great and quiet. I'd recommend the hotel. The only one thing that I was quite impressed was that I saw some cracks of the bathtub.”

• It had character, an old world charm about it. People were professional and courteous.
• I prefer to have conditioner as well as shampoo, even if it's "conditioning shampoo" which really does not work.

“Elegant, enjoyable, nice amenities, comfortable, I felt at home. Make certain you bring conditioner as they only have conditioning shampoo, with my long hair, conditioner is a must for getting the tangles out. I expected them to have conditioner since they are more upscale. Blow Dryer did not work, but everything else was wonderful. Free Internet service.”

• My new puppy was allowed, but I think the room assigned was below average in size and cleanliness
• Seemed all facilities in my wing were a little run down, i.e. room carpet, bathroom

“Good convenience to my travel destination in Palo Alto but somewhat dissappointd with my wing of this hotel. Looked very nice in lobby and dining area but pool and my room were older aned cramped in size.”
