• comfortable beds
• hard to in and out parking is not very easy and room keys not working 1/2 the time

• Huge room, nice location, and
  great amenities.

“At check in they said that I had requested a smoking room. The only non-smoking room was a room with a Murphy Bed and a roll away, which I accepted. It was a huge room (1000 sq/ft), but it had a large conference table on one side. No coffee in the room either. It also had a nice sitting area with a leather couch and chair. It was a bit strange, but overall a pretty good stay.”

• Parking space for rental car not always near room entrance. Also, it would help if the many exterior entrances were identified by number or letter.

“Very good. My third stay there. My daughter attends Stanford University and the hotel is located very close and convenient. I hope to stay there every time I visit her at Stanford for the next few years!”

• The Beds.
• Excluding the room, the over all feel of the hotel did not seem modern.

“The rooms are very up to date an modern. Nice bedding, flat panel TV, work desk. Minimal park fee.”

• Central location.
• The bathroom was small and the fixtures were loose and some wallpaper peeling.

“I would recommend this hotel. It was comfortable and in a good location for travelers within the Palo Alto-Redwood City area.”

• I did not like the back entrance. It was very disconcerting considering how nice the room was!

• Rooms were comfortable, clean and in good condition; friendly staff.
• Rooms along back of hotel are adjacent to an active railroad track, which can be sleep disruptive.

“Nice hotel for the business traveler. Rooms were nicely appointed and in good condition. Staff are friendly and professional. Internet access is separately charged (approx $10/24 hours). The Cal Train railroad runs just off the back of the hotel, so rooms on the back are exposed to the noise from the trains.”

• The bed and pillows were very comfortable.
• My key card didn't work in the hotel parking lot after the first use.

• Location, down comforter, clean sheets and towels, remodeled bathroom.
• Room small, beds too soft, walls paper thin, popcorn ceiling.

“Good location, close to Stanford. Room is small, both beds are too soft. Walls are paper thin, can hear phone conversation next room. Popcorn ceiling remains after remodeling, don't know why. On the plus side, the down comforter is really comfortable. The remodeled bathroom is nice although small, granite counter, new wall tiles, new shower curtains. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful.”

• It is too spread out and hard to get to conveniences.

• The front desk was very helpful as was all of the staff. Everyone said hello.
• It is in renovation so didn't look so hot in some areas.

“Very hard to find but once there the staff was excellent. We were upgraded even without asking. All housekeeping staff greeted us as we walked down the hallway. The lobby area was beautiful.”

• The staff at the bar was great.

“The room was 62 degrees all night long called for a maintenance man to no avail, sent up some blankets with the security person we were very cold all night. Walls were paper thin. We were also charged 64.00 for a charge we did not incur; the front desk took care of that for us. I am a Notre Dame mom and this was the most uncomfortable stay I have ever experimented with my traveling with the team. Very disappointed.”

• It's absolutely beautiful! The garden is quite lovely! The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating.
• That I could not stay another day as I had to go back home.

“I was staying there because I attended a concert at the shoreline amphitheatre, which is only a short drive away. The hotel is also very close to a quaint dining/shopping area with many curbside bistros and locally owned shops. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a friendly staff, and the beautiful grounds were astounding. I immediately wanted to jump in the pool as it looked incredibly refreshing after a five hour drive, but alas I had a concert to attend. The beds were so comfortable! I slept like a rock, and was reluctant to get up in order to make it out by check out. Fortunately I did not have to as the friendly and accommodating front desk staff extended my check out time, allowing me to relax with a movie before hitting the long road home.”

• My room was right in front of the pool.

“My room was right in front of the pool and was very noisy. I should have complained. It was also right across from where they had functions and there was a wedding going on Saturday night. That was extremely noisy.”

“Overall, a good stay. Prices in restaurant are too high. They had a big party with people all over the place. I booked three rooms, one each for three couples. People kept trying to get into one of the rooms that my friends were in. This went on until after midnight. My friend complained but not much happened. Maybe these parties should be booked elsewhere.”

“This is an older facility but maintained very well. Rooms neat and clean. Our only concern was noise control. There was a rowdy party at the pool beyond 1 a.m. and I had to call to complain. I think the hotel should have shut it down long before hen.”

• Great location, very clean, beautifully landscaped, large rooms with balconies.
• The power went out all morning and we felt some kind of compensation shouldve been made. The hotel staff was unfriendly with this matter.

“I would highly recommend this hotel for the leisure and business traveler alike. It was very clean with spacious rooms with balconies overlooking a small stream with fish. The pool was located near the restaurant and bar and offered poolside service. My only complaint was that we were not informed until check-in that the power would be off in the morning from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. It was a huge inconvenience for us. When we asked for some type of compensation, the hotel staff was rude and argumentative, which to us, was demonstrating very poor public relations.”

• Koi ponds at the deck outside our room.
• Bathrooms a little small, didn't remove dishes outside the door from previous guest, still there when we left.

“Convenient to attractions in that area. Beautiful, clean rooms. Ponds around most of the rooms. Secured parking for reasonable price. Beautiful landscaping.”

• Friendly staff, /interesting layout of the motel, with an interior courtyard with pool.
• This place showing some age, a bit rough around the edges.

“I enjoyed my stay, it was a slow week and they upgraded be to a pool side room. The place is pleasant and nice enough, staff friendly. Much better than the others that are $10 cheaper per night. Note the $9 parking fee per day.”

• Very comfortable, great location near downtown.
• The frigging quilt kept sliding off the bed.

“The Sheraton's location is the best part, but it has comfortable furnishings and a good restaurant (at least for breakfast). There is no gift shop to speak of, and a tiny "store", instead of machines with drinks, etc. Altogether, with the exception of the bedclothes falling off each night, it was a good experience.”

“This was the worst hotel stay of our lives. The security doors on the side of the building did not work. Not good. We got no sleep at all due to drunken people wandering the halls most of the night. We booked three days and left after two. Will not use that hotel ever again .”

• Very comfortable beds, good linens nicely decorated.
• Bathroom exhaust fan inadequate and shower drained slow.

“This is hotel is situated very close to downtown Palo Alto and Stanford University. The facilities are well laid out and tastefully decorated. The beds are superb. The rooms are equipped with double windows to minimize outside sounds and complemented with black out draperies.”

• Great location with friendly staff directly across from Stanford University and close to downtown shopping and fine restaurants.
• The loud fountain inside the fish pond was directly outside our room.

• Comfortable, newly refurnished rooms, good location.
• Too noisy. Caltrans train, voices in hall, adjacent rooms shower was very noisy.

“Dated but comfortable. We only stayed for one night so we did not use the restaurant or pool etc. Room was nicely appointed with comfortable beds. Did not offer robes which I would have liked. Overall a very good experience.”
