• Hotel was clean, quiet, and conveniently located to airport.
• There was nothing that I didn't like about the hotel.

• Room was large, clean, well-appointed & quiet.
• It was unclear whether breakfast was extra.

“The Courtyard was conveniently located just off 880 and very near the airport. The public areas as well as the rooms were very clean and lovely.
They offered a full breakfast, but I didn't know it was extra until I got up to leave w/o paying.”

• The girl working at restaurant was so nice and friendly.

“It was quiet and friendly and all of the staff could not have been more accommodating. Friday morning I went down to have a breakfast and the their was only one girl in the restaurant. What a lovely young lady. She was friendly and efficient. Saturday morning she was not there and the girl that was there nowhere compared. Sunday morning before we checked out I went down for coffee and she was there. I told her how I enjoyed her and hoped I would be back and see her again. There was also a girl at the front desk on Friday night that had us shuttled to the Oracle. She gave me a card with the phone number and told me to call her when we were coming out after the event and she would send the shuttle for us. It all went smoothly and gave me a warm feeling of coming home that night.”

• Nothing.
• Horrible location, very unsafe area. Staff was rude and unprofessional. Room cleaning was sub par.

“Our hotel stay was a nightmare. The price would have been acceptable for the summer season, if the service, amenities, appearance, cleanliness and location was above average. As mentioned above, all of these areas were way below average, so we were not satisfied.”

• I liked the convenient location for Bart access and close to MacAfee coliseum.
• Smelled like body odor and the heating system didn't work very well.

“I would stay here again. Definitely not a romantic getaway, but convenient for catching an Oakland A's game. Hopefully not all the rooms smell like body odor and have poor heating system units.”

• I had to wear earplugs to block traffic noise; no hairdryer.

“This is a great hotel for quick easy access to the airport and freeway. Shuttle can be a bit slow, so leave extra time if you didn't rent a car. Clean, professional, safe, and

• The set up and comfort of the room was excellent!
• Nothing.

“Very clean, comfortable rooms, bathroom separate from mirror and sink. Coffee pot cord/plug went thru the hole in counter and plugged in underneath the sink. Great idea! This way it did not use the plugs needed for blow dryer/curling irons! I highly recommend this hotel!”

• The pool setting was excellent and tropical.
• There wasn't anything I didn't like!

“The hotel exceeded my expectations. It was very near the airport and had shuttle service. The breakfast was excellent and the staff was very friendly. The room was clean and spacious with very comfortable beds. Would stay there again!”

• Beds were very comfortable and very good location. I liked lounging in the main area with a great bar.
• Noisy from traffic and not a good view.

“This hotel was very new, but typical of the style of Marriott courtyard. I really enjoyed lounging in the main area. There was a great bar. The beds were very comfortable; what one would expect to find in a very high end hotel. Our overall stay was quite pleasant.”

“The rooms are clean and spacious. My husband and I and our 15 month old daughter were really comfortable sleeping on the king bed. I enjoyed our stay at the Courtyard by Marriott at the Oakland Airport.”

• The lobby was very nice, complete with big screen, fireplace and bar. Very well done.
• The pool was not heated, which was a huge disappointment for us and our children.

“We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The lobby and rooms were very new looking. Our room had high ceilings and was pretty spacious. The hotel staff was very accommodating. We ordered room service for dinner, which was very prompt and delicious. The biggest disappointment was that the pool was not heated. This would be a great hotel for family or business trips. We would definitely stay here again. Another great find!”

• Although the hotel is being renovated (02, 07), it was very clean and the staff very friendly.
• Gym and two pools were closed, because of construction. (02,07).

“Very close to Oakland airport, free shuttle, two nice restaurants close to the hotel. The hotel has usual and nice Marriott style. Travelers to san Francisco should have a car or a lot of time to get into the city.”

• Hotel service was good, hotel shuttles were prompt.
• 30 minutes we waited for the shuttle to pick us up. Hilton, other shuttles has been by twice.

• The room had the loudest noise/vibration of any hotel I've ever stayed in (a kitchen vent). Plus, next to elevators. Hotel less than 90% full.

“The hotel was fine. I have always enjoyed the Courtyard. However, my room was the worst I've ever experienced. I'm sure the helpful staff would have moved us, but we were so exhausted that by the time we lay down and felt the vibration and noticed the full extent of the noise, we opted for sleeping pills, since we had an early a.m. flight back to Maui.”

• The beds by the pool and beach belonging to Nikki Beach are the best thing I have ever seen in the sun.
• The food at the hotel is not good and extremely expensive.

“It is the best place to lounge in the sun by far. The 4 lagoon pools plus the Nikki Beach huge beds with pillows are FAN-Tas-Tic! The heavenly beds in the rooms are also very aptly named. The rooms are fantastic. We stayed at the 10 the floor, with a great view from Vallarta.”

• Night desk clerk had wonderful attitude.
• Did not receive guaranteed non-smoking room.

“We arrived after midnight and the only room available was a smoking room, which we were forced to take because of the late hour. We had requested and paid for a non-smoking room, and the clerk stated the rooms are filled on a first-come, first served basis, even though we supposedly had a guaranteed non smoking room. This was very disappointing and ruined the rest of our 4-day stay. Also, we were kept waiting at the BART station for 51 minutes for hotel shuttle pickup when the property was only 1.5 miles away. The desk clerk had originally stated the shuttle would arrive in less than 15 minutes. It took 3 calls to get the shuttle.”

• It has good access on & off freeways
• Reservations would not accomadate kingsize bed without authorization

“We liked the hotel. Unfortunately the cocktail lounge closes very early in the evening. Restaurants are not in walking distance.”

“They are really great, the sad thing is their rating is the same as the Clarion Dump the Clarion should be a 1, and the Marriot should be a 3, but both on your scale are 2 1/2.”

• All the staff were very courteous and respected our privacy.
• The only thing we did not like was the spa was out of order.

“We would highly recommend this motel. In the future, though, clients should be offered a room with a spa since the spa was out of order. We would have gladly paid a little extra. We really were looking forward to using the spa, and it kind of put a downer on the trip.”
