“The rooms were lovely but the the staff who checked us in were rude. the restaurant was terrible but the manager was very lovely.” Oct 13, 2009 by
Scott from Maricope,AZ
“The hotel was nice overall, except they charge $16.00 per day to park on hotel grounds. If you choose not to pay, you have to find parking on the street.” Sep 30, 2009 by
Jean from Clovis,CA “Power was out was not offered discount or refund of any kind. Drunk and loud party next door that took 6 calls to front desk and a threat to call police before they would break it up. I was exhausted the next day, no hot water either.” Sep 22, 2009 by
Darius from Los Angeles,CA
“Room was a handicapped room. I'm able bodied. The shower has no walls, so when you take a shower the water flies everywhere and literally the water ends up covering the entire floor of the bathroom. Because the water covers the whole floor, I walk out carefully and I slipped and barely caught myself from falling down. My clothes that I had planned on wearing to work got absolutely soaked. This was a horrible experience and I'll never go to this hotel again.” Sep 2, 2009 by
Linda from Tigard,OK
“Beautiful facilities! Pool was very nice and hardly anyone was there.” Aug 29, 2009 by
Steve from Sparks,NV
“It's a nice hotel, but they do nickel and dine you, charging for an Internet connection (which is why I rated it as unfriendly to business travelers) as well as a ton for parking, the most I've ever seen for a hotel not situated in a large city center. The good news is that you can park on the street just west of the hotel. We had no problem with this, though the area is obviously not a high income neighborhood.” Aug 17, 2009 by
Mark from Phoenix,AZ
“This hotel was empty but placed all three rooms I purchased in a wing where the HVAC fans were not functioning properly and were very loud. This condition did not exist in the other wings of the hotel. Also they used this portion of the hotel as a staging area for the maid service for the rest of the hotel. Trash, used linens and all the hotels maid carts crowded the corridors.” Jul 17, 2009 by
Lori from Lincoln,CA
“Hotel Staff is awesome, room was okay, beds were okay . . . not enough room for a sofa bed or roll away bed so my teenage son ended up sleeping on the floor.” Jun 28, 2009 by
Stephen from Rockville,MD
“Excellent service and locations.” Jun 21, 2009 by
Gina from Roseville,CA
“This hotel is lovely and a few things are a bit over priced but still a great place to stay! Beds are to die for. The best rest I have had in a long time.” Jun 11, 2009 by
Andree from Hawthorne,CA “Disappointed: parking 16$/day, internet 9.95$/day. From my reservation 2 rooms/4 nights, one of the room was very small, definitely lack of furniture, have to wait 2 days before getting even a chair. Any request with this hotel take 2 days before answering. Hotel to busy. Polite staff but negative result on request. I was expecting more for the price I paid.” May 28, 2009 by
CIndy from Elk Grove,CA
“This was a hotel which I will return to when I need to be in the area. The staff was helpful and friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable with a large bathroom. There was also a refrigerator in the room.” May 22, 2009 by
John from Lakewood,IL
“For business travelers it is okay.” May 21, 2009 by
Rich from Sacramento,CA
“The Marriott was a very clean hotel for the money and the staff was very attentive and helpful with directions. Staff was very friendly.” May 18, 2009 by
Jeremy from Blaine,MN
“The hotel was very nice and met all of my expectations for quality, appearance and service. Breakfast was over priced, but that is to be expected at a 4 star facility. They charged me an extra $16 to park in the parking lot even though we were staying there which is absolutely ridiculous.” May 17, 2009 by
Paul from Angwin,CA
“Okay for local business traveler, but not close to the airport in morning traffic. Difficult to find hotel entrance(on-line map issue). Overnight self-parking fee is a money grab, and got bug bites in the room. It seemed clean, but I then saw spiders on the floor, and in the closet.” Apr 26, 2009 by
Shaukat from Fremont,CA
“Excellent hotel, gorgeous outlook, clean, rich vibrant colors. Very friendly staff, gorgeous and spacious rooms.” Apr 20, 2009 by
Carl from Watsonville,CA
“I did not stay there long enough to use the pool, restaurant, or bar.” Mar 26, 2009 by
Mele from San Mateo,CA
“Overall just excellent clean hotel, front desk employee looked very professional and friendly. I will recommend this hotel to anyone. Just overall excellent.” Mar 25, 2009 by
bob from Redmond,WA
“Nice hotel but parking will cost you an extra 16.00 a day. Wi Fi and to use the business center computers will cost you more money.” Mar 19, 2009 by
David from Newark,CA
“Rooms were nice and clean. Hotel staff was Mar 19, 2009 by

“Nice paint.” Mar 14, 2009 by
Brian from Elverta,CA
“Great experience. We had our nephew with us and he was very impressed with the rooms.” Feb 22, 2009 by
Dave from Grapevine,TX
“Typical Marriott - comfortable, spacious and fascinating layout!” Feb 19, 2009 by
Darlene from Fresno,CA
“This hotel was beautiful and I loved our room. It was very spacious and it was the cleanest I've stayed in and I felt very comfortable.” Jan 26, 2009 by
Jan from Ivins,UT
“Excellent coffee and coffee maker in room. Expensive parking in a location that should have free parking--suburban, large lots. Comfortable bed and bedding. Midnight check-in did not feel welcoming or speedy.” Dec 25, 2008 by
Michael from Santa Rosa,CA
“This hotel charges it's guests to park their car, and there is extreme confusion & problems concerning this matter. It is for this reason, and only that reason, that I will not be staying at this hotel ever again.” Dec 4, 2008 by
karen from Los Angeles,CA
“The big complaint about this hotel is they charge $16 a night for parking when there is ample street parking just next to the parking lot.” Oct 16, 2008 by
Janet
“Of all of the hotels that I stayed at during the entire trip, this hotel was definitely the best one and had the best staff and was the most accommodating to my disability. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would recommend it anyone staying in the area. It is a beautiful hotel with really nice amenities and I would gladly stay there again.

“When we finally arrived after getting directions and going 30 minutes out of our way the room and the hotel made up for it.” Oct 3, 2008 by
Bill
“Very nice hotel. It was very convenient for our purpose. The dining room was quiet, but a little pricy for appetizers only. The service was very good in all parts of the Hotel.” Oct 2, 2008 by
Saida
“Due to a convention the noise level was so high that I was unable to sleep all night!” Sep 6, 2008 by
Ron from Temple City, CA
“Overall the rooms were very roomy and clean. The staffs at the front desk were very professional. The only complaint was that the hotel charged for parking $14 per day. The hotel is not located in downtown S.F. or a dense area. San Mateo is a suburb type city with plenty of space and parking but they still stuck us for the bill.” Sep 5, 2008 by
Roger from Broken Arrow, OK
“Great location, easy access onto freeways. I would stay there again.” Sep 4, 2008 by
Diana from San Diego, CA
“Huge hotel with several wings to get lost in if you make a wrong turn. Parking charge was too high. The view was of the parking lot below and side of one of the other hotel wings. However, the bed was exceptionally comfy and the huge bathroom was great. It was so refreshing to have a separate (glass) shower without having to fight the clinging shower curtain - as well as having a separate tub to soak in. Also, it was a bonus to have the cool Keurig coffee machine to make great tasting coffee!” Sep 4, 2008 by
Rodney from Bloomington, MN
“The parking is either valet or self park and self park will cost you $14/per day and they have a huge parking area, not cool! Secondly, the hotel says location is San Mateo/SFO Airport which for travelers means it would most likely have a shuttle service to/from SFO.” Sep 4, 2008 by
Julianna from Santa Fe, NM
“My first night there (I stayed with my brother), the clock alarm went on at about 6:00 AM next door for over 10 minutes, finally I called the front desk and they turned it off. My second night - the night of August 31, there was a huge party next door to my room. At 2:15 three guys sat down on the ground outside my door talking about how drunk they were - I had to go outside and ask them to be quiet- then for the next few hours I heard loud music and drunk people and the door next door opening and closing as party guests came and left. So much for a good nights rest.” Sep 4, 2008 by
Deanne from Folsom, CA
“Nice hotel, great location, but the staff could have been friendlier. Put a $100.00 charge on my credit card when I did not have any charges, and then said it would take three days for them to remove the charge. The ice machine on my floor was broken. Broken shower head in bathroom. No assistance offered with my luggage. Very noisy neighbors, not very soundproof. No paper in the morning. Definitely my least favorite hotel stay in the past year.” Sep 3, 2008 by
Sumon from Chicago, IL
“I loved the hotel room and it's cleanliness. I have never slept such a well decorated room. I would go there again for business trip. However, the hotel is not located in a popular place.” Sep 3, 2008 by
Hong from West Sacramento, CA
“I don't think it should be 4 stars. We could hear our neighbors all night and finally had to call security at midnight. In the morning they got up early and also woke us up. They were not yelling or being loud; it was just that we could hear everything that was going on next door. The staff was excellent.” Sep 3, 2008 by
Sara from Baldwin Park, CA
“This hotel was so good, the staff was friendly and cleaning staff as well the hotel was very nicely presented and it always smelled good. This was a very great hotel to stay at and my kids loved it as well and they are very picky.” Aug 29, 2008 by
Ann from Castro Valley, CA
“This is a nice hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. The lobby and common areas (gym, pool) are nice. The room has one of those coffee makers that make an individual cup of coffee.” Aug 28, 2008 by
Cam from Pasadena, CA
“The quality of the room was great along with the staff. The only fault I find with this hotel and most hotels is the amount you have to pay for parking. Just ridiculous.” Aug 26, 2008 by
Rob from Coronado, CA
“There was no shuttle.” Aug 23, 2008 by
Stacey from Elk Grove, CA
“If it were not for the wonderful staff I probably would have left the hotel. The first room smelled as if something had recently died in it. The staff was very nice and switched me to a room that was nicer and did not smell. The rooms were outdated but the decor helped fix it up. I will more than likely not stay this Marriot ever again. I love Marriot but, this one does not compare to the quality Marriot is normally known for.” Aug 23, 2008 by
Tim from Victoria, BC CA
“Great hotel but the location is a bit out of town for San Francisco. We stayed here because the site said it was two blocks from the Cal train with direct public transit links to SF. It was! But the staff on 3 different occasions did not advise us of the stations location & suggested we needed a $28 cab ride to the Bart Station, it left me wondering if the hotel staff was receiving incentives from cab drivers. Once we were shown where the station was by a gut in the local Shell Gas Station, getting around was cheap & easy. That simple fact changed the hotel from being isolated & not ideal for us into a great place to stay at a reasonable price.” Aug 23, 2008 by
Shirley from Colorado Springs, CO
“This hotel is nice to stay at for traveling, located nicely for sight seeing in both directions. The pool is nice along with the hot tub. I would stay here again!” Aug 15, 2008 by
Ebony from Cerritos, CA
“Traveling with my husband, two teenagers and two elementary aged children, we found the accommodations to be more than sufficient and comfortable. The staff was very attentive and the overall quality of the room and hotel exceeded our expectations. We would absolutely stay here again.” Aug 13, 2008 by
Lou from Chester Springs, PA
“Nice common spaces. Drab hallways, rooms are very nice inside, however, it smelled like smoke in a non smoking room. Parking fee high for a suburban hotel.” Aug 13, 2008 by
Steve from Highland Village, TX
“This is a great hotel at a wonderful location. Right of the Bay shore (Hwy 101), it is convenient to 7/11 convenience store, Longs Drugs, Starbucks, Safeway and many restaurants.”
