• I loved the breakfast and the exercise room; computer room too.
• The fee to have 2 beds instead of 1.

• Breakfast bar is a notch above continental, as waffle maker.
• The pool is a spa that was not working.

“My main comments are that I searched for a pool, and this one came up, but the pool here is a spa that was not working. I wanted a pool my kids could swim in. The Best Western web site does not include pool in its amenities. Parking was also crowded overnight, and I ended up parking on the street. Besides this, the hotel is quite fine much nicer than some of the lower star dives.”

• I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast each morning.
• The beds were not comfortable.

“I enjoyed the breakfast each morning. There was always plenty to eat. The front desk staff was very accommodating when we needed an extra towel each day. The hot tub was nice and hot our first night, but not the following 2 nights we were there. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Very nice, clean, and quiet.”

• The hotel was very clean and close to the freeway.
• There didn't seem to be much around the hotel in walking distance.

“We checked into the hotel and were told that we had only guaranteed one king size bed without a pull out sofa. Then the woman checked and was able to move us to a room with a sofa because we had 2 small children. Our hotel was on the 2nd floor, but facing an opening to the lobby the first night we were there it was very noisy. The walls were kind of thin and we could hear people laughing in the lobby and talking until almost 2 am. I could also hear the TV in the room next door. Not sure if they had it up extra loud or if it's because the walls were thin. The beds weren't the most comfortable, but not terrible either, I guess it's what's expected for a 2.5 star rating. The room was very clean though and that's always one of my main concerns.”

• Our maid was very nice & accommodating.
• All 3 front desk employees were less that civil, one didn't even speak to me.

“This hotel was a joke to me. The front desk employees were less than helpful, one didn't even speak to me when I asked for an extra blanket, she simply stared at me and grunted, walked away and came back with the blanket 2 minutes later. The location is a little tough because of major freeway construction. I had called ahead and asked for 2 queens - the women on the phone complied. When I arrived she told me they were overbooked and my only option was a king and a pullout - she then handed me 2 sheets and a blanket.”

• The parking situation is a pain, it is a long walk from room to parking garage.

• Neighborhood ok, but no frills.

“This hotel is perfect for an inexpensive overnight stay, or if your hotel room does not need to be an important part of your trip. It is very clean and the staff is very nice. It is nothing fancy, nor is it within walking distance of much. The one exception is that it is within walking distance to a nice outdoor park on the Bay. It is very easy driving distance into Burlingame or San Mateo with a wide range of shopping and dining options, and public transportation (Cal train) into San Francisco.”

• Registration process was a little slow a minor complaint. Everything else was above par.

“Very enjoyable stay. Comfortable, spacious, and well laid out room. Many welcome conveniences included such as free high speed internet, microwave, refrigerator, inaudible but effective heater. A full breakfast was included, simple, but much more than the typical continental breakfast. For me it was a great time saver. I would definitely recommend the Best Western Coyote Point Inn to friend and family, and I plan to book a room again for future business in the local area.”

• The bed needs to be harder. Way to soft it was a king and it was swayed to the middle.

“The nicest hotel that we stay in SF area for the price. The staff was friendly and helpful. Close to downtown, with plenty of places to eat. Everything you would need in a room except for the towels. Large room for the price. Better than the hotel for a higher price in Santa Clara near the classes for our business trip.”

• Front desk was rude mistakes were not fixed and the hotel staff seemed shakey at best.

“This hotel seemed to know how many black people were in my group and harassed us by trying to charge us for extra people in our room (only 2 were in our room) but because we sat with another guest we met at the hotel for breakfast (who also was black) they were supposed to be the extra person then they decided there were 4 people in our room, then changed it back to 3 then took the charge off all together. Then they tried to charge me to change to a double room even though thats what I was supposed to have anyway. The front desk staff was rude and shouted at me and another traveler who was not in our group and had plumbing issues she ended up moving to a different hotel.”

• The breakfast was quite good. The amenities were nice (fitness room, sauna, etc). The location is good.
• I could hear some of the goings on from the lobby all the way in my 2nd floor room.

“They really need to soundproof their rooms. The mattresses are sub-par. Other than that, it was a great experience and I would stay there again. I don't think it should be 2.5 stars. I think I would give it 3 stars.”

• Breakfast is convenient with lots of choices. Whole wheat bread and peanut butter would be nice additions.
• Last morning there, our key "expired" while we were at breakfast and we were locked out of our room.

“This is a convenient and pleasant hotel with courteous and friendly staff. The sound wall adjacent to the freeway makes it quieter. If that's a hot tub being built out back, hooray! The only real problem was with the room key "expiring" while we were downstairs. After going back upstairs, we found we were locked out of our room and had to go back downstairs to get the key reinitialized. This was an inconvenience and annoyance, took up valuable time for us as well as for the front desk staff, could have been disastrous if we'd been pressed for time, and doesn't make sense. If check out time is 11AM why should the key be useless after 9AM.”

“Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. We enjoyed the wireless internet. The staff was friendly and helpful with directions and suggestions. The breakfast was good. The location was near the airport. Overall we were very pleased with our stay.”

“Get a room on the 1st or 2nd floor in the back. Very good desk staff. Adjacent to Coyote Point Park and Bay Shore Trail, good for runners, but not easily accessible directly from the hotel due to fenced golf course (public, and nice). Must drive to any restaurants.”

• My daughter and I wanted two double beds, but the hotel was full and we had to get a room with one king-size bed.

I was visiting San Francisco so to get there I had to take a cab (about 20 $ to Bart station) and train to San Francisco downtown (a long ride for another$5 trip) so almost 25 one way. It is a useless location. The hotel itself was clean but rather average tourist class.”

“This hotel is definitely not at 3 star levels. 2 stars would be fair. A few things I don't like about: 1. Bedding is kind of worn. 2. We were given smoker room first. Had to go back to front desk to change. Vending machine next to front desk eats money but had no sign on it.3. Very close to highway 101. 4. One side of building is quite noisy. 5.The door of my room has to be slammed to lock. We didn't notice till the 3rd day. So we basically left our door open for 2 days without knowing. The hotel staff obviously didn't know it either coz they always left door closed but not locked after cleaning the room.”

• Terrible indoor air quality, flimsy gym equipment.

“The primary virtue of this hotel is its location near SFO and its cleanliness. However, if you are coming south of the airport, you will need directions, since there is no exit from the southbound side of the freeway. The place was stuffy, and the "fitness room" had flimsy equipment (two pieces not working and the rest low-end home quality gym stuff) in a cramped room that had not experienced a breath of outside air since the place was constructed. The food, such as there was, was of a quality equivalent to a 7-11, except that a 7-11 has better coffee. All in all, an ok place if you need a place to crash after a flight, but not one I would recommend for more than a night.”

“In our opinion this was not a 2.5 star hotel. The staff was very unfriendly regarding our room requirements. We changed 5 rooms for 3 nights. One lady in the staff was nicer. We have usually gotten the Marriot Courtyard when we book 2.5 stars in that area. This was a definite downgrade in Hotel, Area plus Service.”

• Surrounding area around the hotel is not 4 stars.

“On the same trip, we (me, my wife & three children aged 7, 2, 1) stayed here followed by Westin hotel in LA. Though everything was simply remarkable here, yet there were many things which were like free bonuses hard to find elsewhere - these included: 1. Complimentary newspaper every morning.2. Excellent complimentary breakfast buffet.3. Free business center with free internet and free printing facilities.4. Convenient location from san Francisco attractions. Our stay here had been simply remarkable.”

• The continental breakfast made breakfast quick and convenient.
• The proximity to the freeway is noisy and disturbing.

“We had no housekeeping services the first full day of our stay, and had to claim clean towels and an extra pillow at the front desk because the staff was so busy. After that, service was fine and as expected. Breakfast was modest, but more than adequate, and quick and convenient. The motel is located very near a busy freeway, so there is some noise if you want to open a window; first night with the window closed we woke up (1am) because it was so hot. However, we slept well with the window open. Didn't use the sauna; would prefer a hot tub. Overall, a good place to stay for a very economical price.”
