• The staff was very accommodating and they upgraded us when our room was not ready when we checked in.
• Food was not great and very expensive. Bedroom was a bit small.

“We were very happy with our stay at the Renaissance. It was not the 4-5 star level of luxury that makes staying in a hotel such a treat, but we had a wonderful time and the location was great.”

• It was so accessible for foot travel to the places I wanted to go.
• The elevator lost power briefly and scared me half to death.

• Noise - overlooks busy freeway. Also, expensive parking, plus tax.

“Guests should specifically ask for a quiet room. Otherwise, they might be in quarters overlooking a busy, noisy freeway. Also be prepared to pay $28 per day, plus tax, for parking.”

• Free breakfast buffet for kids. Courteous service. Clean comfortable rooms. Great location.
• $28/day for parking seems high.

“We had three rooms at this hotel. I would recommend this hotel to families with children, young or old. The pool on the 28th floor is clean and the view is stellar.”

• The hotel is located on a very steep hill. If you are taking public transportation to get to the hotel, please be aware of the steep hills.
• The hotel needs renovation or beautification. The elevators, carpets, etc. looks old and need replacement.

“The hotel needs some renovation to make it look more elegant. There were minor cracks on the tiles toward the main entrance. The elevators were not clean. The hallways look gloomy.”

• Clean room and most staff nice
• Unsafe area noisy with I-5 below

“Concierge not helpful or friendly. Computers only free for 10 min and then there is a charge of $4.00 or more. Area unsafe as car got stolen. Noisy location with I-5 below. However, good location, central area, clean room, comfortable bed, nice lounge.”

• Quiet neighborhood.
• No wireless and staff was poor.

“After staying at the Westin, this hotel was a letdown. I found the beds hard and the staff poor. Internet was incredibly expensive and the hotel offered no help with people taking the downtown airport. It was also far away from the shops, but in a quiet neighborhood.”

• Location was great! Easy freeway access into and out of.
• Parking price. Very high.

“When we checked in, we were asked if we wanted a king or doubles, and my husband and I were the only ones traveling, so of course, we chose King. Then the other hotel employee stepped over and said that we could not have a king, we would have to have a double when there were several king beds available. I feel like the hotel was discriminatory. I am very happy with Priceline, but I don't understand why we are treated as lesser in the hotel standards.”

• Concierge was amazing, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable.
• The pool had a great view, but entire thing is only 3.5 feet deep.

“My husband and I stayed here for our 1st anniversary. We were very happy with our stay of five nights. Our corner room offered a great view, had an AC, very comfortable bedding, and a luxurious bathroom. The concierge was extremely helpful every night as we loved each of their recommendations. Only real draw back was that they do not have their own airport shuttle and it cost $11/person (one way) for the airport to take us from the airport to the hotel.”

• Clean, modern and overall staff were very helpful.
• Restaurant staff not terribly friendly for children.

“Overall our stay was very nice. We were a bit surprised that we had to pay for internet access even in the business center. They were remodeling, but that was not a major concern. The restaurant staff was not terribly pleasant when dealing with our family. Otherwise the rest of the staff were excellent.”

“Customer service was average. Parking costs $30 perday should be free to guests. Paying $16 for an average tasting ceasar salad that took 30 to 45 minutes to get to the room. No breakfast unless.”

• Breakfast was a little bland, eggs tasted precooked and steamed.

“Not too shabby, the cooking isn't too bad but the breakfast could use some improvement. I'd likely stay in that place again on a pleasure trip, it was just far enough from the center of town to make a nice walk, but close enough to prevent it from being a long walk.”

• The rooms were spacious and clean.
• The location, was a little far away from the action, considering you can't really drive in downtown.

“The hotel was great, nice and clean, and the staff was very helpful, they even let me check in very early, and called to check on me a few hours later. Even though it was under construction, it was clean, and you could barely notice the work being done. My only gripe would be it is a tad far away from the resturauts and shopping in downtown.”

• They let us leave our car in the garage after we checked out without a fee.
• This room had little or no hot water in the shower and the coffee pot was broken.

“I have stayed at many cheap hotels and motels but I can not remember being unable to get a hot shower in my room. The coffee pot was broken and had to be replaced.”

• The room had a simple elegance to it. It was comfortable and it was decorated very nicely.
• The computer center did not work well at all.

“Worth staying. Views of the surrounding area are good from the window. Room was very comfortable. Definitely upscale feel. They need to work on the business center computers, though. The system was not working right at all.”
