• Everyone was pleasant, friendly, helpful and efficient.

“It was very late when we checked in so we were very tired. The lady at check-in had a smile on her face, gave her my name, she immediately pulled out our reservation, had me sign, gave me our keys and we were on our way to a very comfortable bed. Inquired about transportation, concierge was extremely pleasant and helpful.”

• Location.

“Very accommodating. Had to move to a different room because of the partying going on in the nearby room. The front desk personnel jumped on my request and we were moved into a new room in less than 15 minutes. Room service was extremely fast. A very good stay!”

• The room was spacious, comfortable and had internet access. The rooms were kept extremely nice.
• They did not have enough front desk, concierge or bell man staff. There were deep stains in the uniforms of the waiters and waitresses.

“The room was spacious, comfortable and had internet access. I also liked the terrace of the upstairs restaurant. It was really nice because it had an outside terrace with a view of the water and of the surrounding skyline. However the food in the downstairs restaurant was much better. The rooms were kept extremely nice. They did not have enough front desk, concierge or bell man staff. There were deep stains in the uniforms of the waiters and waitresses in the upstairs restaurant, however everyone was exceedingly nice. Also, the interior of the lobby and upstairs restaurant is a little dated an probably need to get something that doesn't have the deep browns and reds of the 60's and 70's. Overall, the friendliness of all the staff and the nice room, made up for the lack of staff and cleanliness of the waitresses uniforms.”

• Location, size of room, professional staff, clean.
• Bad bed. Rough, crunchy & noisy sheets! Parking at $33.33 a night. No wif-fi in room.

“It has a great location, nice rooms and wonderful staff, but parking at $33.33 a night is a bit much. No Wi-Fi in the rooms (4 star hotels should have this). The worst thing was the bed. Sounds weird, but the sheets were noisy! Every time you moved they made a crunching sound. Not very luxurious to say the least!”

• Excellent location, beautiful decor in the rooms.
• The sheets fell off the bed daily because they were not deep pocket sheets that are needed to be used with pillow top mattresses.

• The rooms were tastefully decorated and up-to-date. There was also a restaurant/bar on the 5th floor of the restaurant that had a huge patio.
• Parking was $30 a night, plus state tax and parking tax. Water pressure in the shower was weak, but the shower head made up for it.

“The hotel is conveniently located in downtown Seattle with everything either being in walking distance to hot tourist destinations, or a short walk to convenient public transportation. In addition to the restaurant/bar on the 5th floor, there is another restaurant/bar at street level that has decent food, fun drinks, and a friendly wait staff. The rooms were beautifully decorated and up-to-date. The bathroom was very nice as well. Our hotel room (1002) was on the tenth floor and had a great view of the water.”

• Great location, felt safe, very clean and up to date
• presure to take the town car instead of alternate methods to and from the airport

“This is a perfect a hotel for a buisness traveller or someone that just wants to shop. The location is great, the rooms are roomy and hotel staff are plesant. It has no swimming pool or family dining, it seems geared toward adults, nevertheless a very nice stay.”

• Close to Pike Place Market and to the Monorail.
• $30 a day for parking.

“Enjoyed our stay. The only problem was that the heat decided to come on one night, and we couldn't turn it down. The front desk sent up an electrician who fixed it quickly. The room was large and very comfortable.”

“We enjoyed how the centered the hotel was placed in Seattle. We took a morning stroll to Pikes Market and enjoyed the sites. West lake mall was also walking distance. The room was warm and beds were comfortable and view was great! For anyone with family or staying for business, this Red Lion was the perfect location.”

• The lightening in the room was very poor. I would rate my overall rating a 6 because of the poor lighting, a rating of 8 if better lighting.

• It was clean and an in a convenient location for all Seattle tourist activities within the city center.
• The pub attached to the hotel had inconsistent service. Once we walked out before being served Once we stayed until close.

“It was good for the money. There were no extra facilities like a gym/pool, door man, etc that would justify it. However the location was great for a leisure trip. That being said, they did not create a new loyal customer. Next time we stay in Seattle we would definitely like to try a new hotel.”

• Fitness center equipment -missing parts and broken piece.

“When I was using the small fitness center the dumbbell I was holding came apart and the end weight dropped to the floor (it weighed almost 10 lbs as the dumbbell was rated at 20 lbs) It looked to me that the weight had been broken prior and just stuffed back together- also straps missing from lat machine, and no flat bench (when I phoned about the weight, staff respond and removed it). Sleeping room was cold and even when adjusted up stayed cold during the night.”

“They are renovating the hotel. Due to some problem likely involving renovation, the heat in some rooms, including mine, was not working. It was cold. The bed had a thin blanket. Even with all my clothes on under the thin blanket I could not sleep due to the cold. The front desk sent up an extra blanket - took 20 minutes to arrive. Still very cold. Slept maybe 2 hours.”

“Great location but outdated rooms. Small, with old CRT TVs and crappy Bath and Body Works cosmetics in the bathrooms. Bedspread looked like something out of a ski lodge. Serviceable but I wouldn't go farther than that. As I said though, one of the best locations in downtown Seattle -- but be prepared to pay $35 USD for parking a day!”

“The location was great for Pikes Market, shopping, walk to dinner and the theater. Parking was 30$ plus tax. That is just the way it is in the city of Seattle. We were very happy with our stay.”

• The rooms are large and lovely and the staff was so friendly.

“I have stayed in other hotels in Seattle, Sheraton, Crown Plaza, etc. but will definitely stay in the Red Lion again. For the attractiveness and size of the rooms, price and location, you can not do any better. Plus the staff was the icing on the cake! I had a great time!”

• Nice lobby, restaurant. Excellent location downtown near Pike's market.

“Had my late night check in at 10:30 and took the front desk and hotel staff a full hrs to fix TV remote & unwilling to change rooms for the problem until I told them that I didn't touch the bedding and bathroom! Come on, it was a weekday (Tuesday)evening, what's so difficult to solve a TV problem for your hotel guest.”

• I had a great room with a great view of the sound. The bathroom has Bath and Body Works products, which was really nice to see.

“I had a great time! This was the perfect getaway for me. The hotel is in a great location- right in the heart of the city, with a great view of the sound. The front desk clerk and the concierge were incredibly friendly and very helpful. Even the parking attendant was friendly and helpful! The restaurant is on one of the upper floors- with a beautiful patio and again, a great view of the sound. The bed was great- very comfortable.”

• The rooms were beautiful and the location could not have been more perfect! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the place was very clean.
• For such a nice hotel the walls were extremely thin. Not good for children or honeymooners. You could hear everything your neighbor said, did or sang.

“From the moment I pulled into the parking garage I knew this was going to be a great hotel experience. The staff was friendly and the place was clean and classy. My only concern was that the walls, at least on my floor seemed to be extremely thin. There was a couple that was having an argument that in any other hotel probably would not have been heard because they were not yelling or screaming, however it was late and I could even hear my neighbor get out of bed, walk across the floor and pound on the wall three times. Then when the girls in the room on the other side of me came home from the musical they had just seen, I got the pleasure of hearing them sing (I admit they were good however it was at 2:00 AM). This honestly is a wonderful place to stay, but if privacy, peace and quite, or a steamy romantic getaway is what you are looking for, this place is not for you.”

• Very nice, upscale, central location in Seattle.
• Charged $30 per car per night for parking, small rooms.

“Great location, central to Seattle, however do not park there! They told us we could park under the hotel in their garage and get parking validated. What they failed to tell was that it was $30/night per car, and we had 2 cars (me and my husbands). We paid $60 plus tax for parking, which ended up being about $70 total, was ridiculous. Also, the rooms are cramped. But overall, nice hotel.”

• Nobody ever answered room service.

“If you are seeing a show at the 5th Avenue Theater, then it's a nice place to sleep, because it's across the street, but the neighborhood on the pike street side is full of trouble. Next time to Seattle I would probably stay someplace else. The rooms were clean enough, but no room service seemed to be available, even though the menu in the room said it was.”
