“Kimpton hotels are so accommodating and wonderfully done. Internet was fast, room was gorgeous and large.” Apr 13, 2009 by
Rian from Woodside,CA
“They were very friendly and helpful while we were there. Provided valuable directions and information that made our stay pleasant. The $10 million in renovations were beautifully done and made this older hotel seem band new.” Apr 9, 2009 by

Greg from Poulsbo,WA
“The room was huge!” Mar 29, 2009 by
Cheryl from Bettendorf,IA
“My husband and I always hate staying at hotels because they never feel clean. The rooms are usually dark, dimly light, and no matter how often the rooms are cleaned, they just don't feel clean. The Alexis is completely different. The room we stayed in was painted in a light color and felt very fresh. The room had big windows letting in lots of light. Everything felt so clean that we didn't feel like we had to sanitize everything we touched. The bathroom floor was marble and felt cleaner than other places we have visited. The bed was comfortable, and the small sitting area was wonderful when we were resting our tired feet. I loved the director of pet relations. It was great to stay in a pet-friendly hotel that didn't smell like it! I would gladly tell any of my friends or family about this hotel. In fact, I already have!” Mar 4, 2009 by
Kim from Renton,WA
“Beautiful atmosphere with a great staff. From the moment valet takes your car until you check out the staff will cater to your whims. They had extensive knowledge of the area, restaurants and activities. The lobby is beautiful! The room was gorgeous and the beds were comfortable.” Feb 22, 2009 by
Ana from Boston,MA
“The room is gorgeous and was above my expectations. All amenities as well as room decoration was perfectly chosen.” Feb 10, 2009 by
Krista from Lake Oswego,OR
“This is a great hotel in the heart of Seattle. Formerly condos, the rooms are very large and featured a separate sitting area. The complimentary wine hour was very nice. The front desk recommend an excellent restaurant for dinner and made a reservation for us.” Dec 11, 2008 by
MIke from West Linn,OR
“The hotel was lovely. We would stay there again if the opportunity arises. We really enjoyed the bar and the cafe the next morning. It hotel was very warm and inviting. The staff was very helpful and attentive to our needs.” Nov 9, 2008 by

“Convenient location with friendly staff and comfortable. This is the only place I stay in Seattle.” Oct 30, 2008 by
Yvette
“Room was beautiful-location excellent-only two blocks from the water and piers for boat trips and dining. Easy walking to all locations of interest in Seattle. Did not need a rental car because most of the public transportation is efficient and free. Many excellent resturants in the area. Would choose this Hotel again and again. Definately will recomend the Alexis Hotel to all of my friends.” Oct 29, 2008 by

“This hotel was elegant with great attention to detail in every aspect of our stay. The staff was friendly and helpful at all times. Our room was stunning and luxurious, and the artwork throughout the hotel was beautiful. The great location offered us an opportunity to get around on foot and see as much as we possibly could. We enjoyed every second of our stay and were sad to leave after only one night.” Oct 29, 2008 by

“The Alexis has been one of the great small hotels of Seattle for twenty years. We stayed there for a week seventeen years ago. It has been remodeled since then (recently) and is as beautiful as I remembered it. The staff is superb, great service, but very low key. Romantic, personnel, charming - loved it!” Mar 13, 2008 by
Cody J. from Marysville, WA
“This hotel over all was great! The staff accommodated me, my wife, and our four friends, they were going above and beyond the call of duty to accommodate the amount of people we had with us. They tried so hard to get all of us to have adjoining rooms. We will for sure be back.” Jan 19, 2008 by
Rosalie from Richland, WA
“Not having been to the Alexis for 5 years I was a bit apprehensive. Five years ago it was a nice hotel that had seen better days. We were pleasantly surprised at the lovely update that had taken place there. The hotel looked wonderful and our room was fantastic and comfortable. We did have some neighbor problems with the room directly above us being very noisy but the front desk staff was wonderful at getting the problem resolved. I would absolutely recomend the Alexis to all my friends. My only complaint was the fact we had to pull around the corner to a no stopping zone to unload the car. This apparently is only necessary for certain hours of the day but I did find this uncomfortable.” Jan 16, 2008 by
Eric from Vancouver, BC CA
“Great spot, walking distance to Pike Place Market.” Jan 15, 2008 by
Dennis from Auburn, WA
“Room very upscale with layout (French doors); furnishings and arrangement. We felt like we were in a European hotel. Staff very friendly. Only complaint is that our room was right by elevator and noisy partiers got off elevator all night.” Jan 12, 2008 by
Karen from Ellensburg, WA
“We liked the hotel. It was very beautiful and the art was especially nice. The service was good. Our only problem was the parking, but they ran to get things from the car if you needed them.” Jan 9, 2008 by
Robert from Seattle, WA
“Excellent and I would definitely stay again.” Jan 9, 2008 by
Bob from East Wenatchee, WA
“Pleasant, clean, helpful staff, but really small rooms.” Jan 8, 2008 by
Hazel from Vancouver, BC CA
“The hotel was nicely renovated in a modern, tasteful style but still keeping the architecture of a heritage building.” Jan 8, 2008 by
erina from boston
“I was so surprised with this truly amazing hotel! this is way better than Vintage Park Seattle. I loved everything about my room; decor, color scheme, flat TV, marble bathroom, nice amenities, new & cute furniture's! It was also spacious, unlike Vintage Park. Only 2 negatives: it was cold in the room, with the cold wind coming in the room from beneath the window/door, it wasn't freezing, but I did wear sweater all the time in the room. Also, just don't touch anything from the in-room drinks or snacks or even toothbrushes. This is same with all Kimpton Hotels, but those are just ridiculously expensive.” Jan 3, 2008 by
Anna from Tulalip, WA
“It's a very nice looking contemporary hotel in downtown Seattle, but they only offer valet so you cant park yourself, they charge a $30 overnight parking charge even though your a guest and even the cheap hotels offer a free continental breakfast with the purchase of a room but this place offers nothing for the price of one of their rooms and they charge high prices for everything.” Jan 2, 2008 by
Scott from Marysville, WA
“The location of the Alexis is great if you want to go to the Seattle Waterfront, the pike place market or to Benaroya Hall. The entire hotel was very clean, tastefully decorated throughout and the staff was very professional, respectful and friendly. The Alexis offers a wine reception which was nice, a turn-down service and a morning coffee (which ended too soon for us late risers. My only complaint is my room received an exceptional amount road noise from first avenue. This was a great place to stay and the Alexis deserve its four-star rating.” Jan 1, 2008 by
Karen from Idaho Falls, ID
“Incredible and luxurious. The small touches in the room make all the difference.” Nov 12, 2007 by
Rob from Eden Prairie, MN
“Close to the fish market and downtown restaurants.” Sep 26, 2007 by
Jeff from Clackamas, OR
“This is one of the nicest hotels Ive ever stayed in and I travel monthly. The staff was extremely friendly, the hotel is gorgeous and the rooms were beautiful, clean and spacious. I will definitely be back.” Jan 22, 2007 by
From P. from La Center, WA
“We were on a business trip with a 2-year old in tow. The Alexis served us well on all counts. The location is great -- close to the ferries, train station and pike street market. For an older building, the rooms were well-sized, including the bathrooms. The wine reception was a nice bonus -- our daughter loved the paints. My husband and I kept remarking how everything was "just right." not too much, not too little. We highly recommend this hotel.” Jan 16, 2007 by
Linley from San Anselmo, CA
“I enjoyed the Alexis and would recommend it. The doormen were particularly helpful and the room was quite beautiful and elegant. The avid products were a nice plus too! Only complaint: the noise from the streets below was loud enough to make me think that a window was open. Could use a little sound insulation! All in all, nice place where I would stay again (and request a room not overlooking such a busy street).” Nov 14, 2006 by
Nikisa from Huachuca City, AZ
“Hotel is pretty nice. Staff pleasant and helpful. That stay was well worth the money. This hotel was good but not as nice as the vintage park.” Sep 15, 2006 by
Nancy from Doylestown, PA
“Pleasant hotel with very attentive staff conveniently located near tourist attractions in Seattle.” Sep 15, 2006 by
Steve from Anchorage, AK
“Overall it was a good place to stay, and the staff was good. There was one glitch: I had called ahead to make sure I had a non-smoking room that was above all quiet. I also requested a king bed. Upon arrival, I was offered a quiet room that was smoking, or a room facing 1st avenue. My only option was to take the room on 1st avenue, which was fairly noisy. The room also had a smell to it like something was being covered up. The next morning I inquired about moving to another location. I was promptly moved to an excellent room for the remainder of my stay.” Jul 26, 2006 by
Diane from Portland, OR
“Ambiance in the lobby was delightful. Room spacious but furnishing a bit run down even for antiques. Staff was indifferent and cold. The location was great, near Pike Market and waterfront. Did not measure up for luxury hotel in my book, but still nice.” Jul 4, 2006 by
Leanne from Hillsboro, OR
“The hotel was beautiful. We were greeted right away with bellboys to help us with our bags. We were treated like a million dollars the entire time we were there. The turn down service in the evening was my favorite. I love coming back to the room to chocolates on my bed. ” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jul 2, 2006 by

“Overall service was good. Nice small library lounge. Although most employees were friendly and professional one of the front desk clerks had attitude and had to share her problems with others. Allowing pets creates issues for some with allergies. Nicely appointed rooms but could definitely hear traffic and nearby const.” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.Apr 24, 2006 by

“I would definitely stay in this hotel again. It was centrally located and wasn't or didn't seem like one of those big chain hotels. It was very quaint, our room was very spacious and they had wine tasting as soon as we arrived. They also provide Aveda hair products. What more could a girl ask for.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Nov 23, 2005 by

“The Alexis is a gem of a hotel in Seattle. Located between Pike Place Market and Pioneer Square on First Ave. Nearly across the street from the Seattle Art Museum (SAM). Walking distance to the Piers (ferry terminal) and main retail shopping district at Westlake Center, where you can catch the monorail and go to Seattle Center.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Nov 4, 2005 by

“A great boutique hotel that provides all the little extras, like spa products in the bathroom. Service is fast and smart. For business travel, I prefer this hotel because it is not monstrously huge which means I can get to and from my room in just a couple of minutes.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Oct 12, 2005 by

“Wonderful staff, great beds, nice touches, breakfast a little pricey for the quality.” Sep 15, 2005 by
James from San Francisco, CA
“The staff was excellent, friendly and helpful. The artwork in the common space was gorgeous. The room layout was great. The location was convenient.” Sep 15, 2005 by
Jean from Glendale, WI
“This hotel was lovely and I liked that it was a smaller boutique hotel with a more intimate feel. The staff was outstanding. The room was huge and the bedding was luxurious. The Library Bistro restaurant was a special treat as well. I wish I would have had time to use the Aveda Spa. The prices were very reasonable in the spa. Finally, the complimentary wine tasting was a nice treat and we met some great people.” Aug 26, 2005 by
Brian from Spirit Lake, IA
