• Clean and friendly staff.
• The bed was horrible! Noisy neighbors till 11 pm.

“The hotel was nice. The bed was the worst hotel bed I've ever slept in. We were put across the hall from the service door, so we heard that door slam through all hours of the night. Our neighbors were very noisy but by that time, my 2-year-old was in bed and all our stuff was strewn about and we were not going to move, even if offered. The room service was good and we were given 50% discount for our poor night's sleep.”

• Ease of location, 5 min or less walk from everything!
• $36/day self-park & $39/day valet parking prices!

“The Westin Seattle downtown was a great experience for myself and my mother. We were in town for doctor's appointments and wanted a nice hotel, near all the major activities, attractions, and hospitals. The Westin fit the bill perfectly! Everything was within a 10 minute walk from the lobby. Great shopping, dining, and local attractions. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating, especially the weekday staff. The weekend staff was OK, but missing that little extra polish that made the weekday staff shine.”

• The bed and shower were amazing.
• The pool and hot tub area was crowded for our entire stay.

“The showers and beds are incredible. The bed is especially comfortable. We had a nice view of the space needle from the 36th floor in the north tower. If you are looking for top notch food for a reasonable price, you should head downstairs and go to the cold water restaurant that is in the hotel. The scallops I had were huge, cooked perfectly and were absolutely delicious! I would definitely stay at this hotel again. The only downside was that the pool was really really cold and it was constantly filled with kids.”

“When checking in I casually mentioned that it was my wife's birthday and the front desk person upgraded our room to an upper floor room with with a killer view of the water. One of the best rooms we have ever had.”

• Location was ideal for walking to various tourist sites around the downtown area and space needle.
• No refrigerator or microwave was available in the room or anywhere for guests.

“The location was fantastic. My family and I (wife and kids aged 13 and 7)easily walked from the hotel to the space needle, Pikes Place market, Underground Tour, and other downtown sites. Our room was on the 39th floor with incredible views of downtown and the water. We loved our stay and best of all the price we got from Priceline.”

• The views from the higher floors will amaze you and
  also a great location.
• Parking cost - $36 per night.

“Fantastic hotel. Great service, but parking is a bit expensive. Leave the car at the airport as you can take the train for $2.50 takes a little longer, but a much cheaper. You can walk anywhere you want to go in downtown seattle from this location.”

• Inattentive staff (probably not enough staff to handle all their customers).

“Great city views, spacious hotel rooms, and very good location. Only negative was that my wife and I had some trouble several times getting a hold of the front desk staff. That was a little frustrating.”

• They had a bowl of fresh apples on a table at the elevator each morning.
• Carpet could have been cleaner.

“The hotel had a Green choice where you received a $5.00 coupon instead of any room service each day. We thought that was a great Green idea. Also the low flow toilets were good. Because we opted for the green we did miss the Starbucks make-in room coffee in the am. The breakfast we had in the coffee shop wasn't very good.”

“Check-in and out was very efficient, staff was very professional and friendly. Ideally situated for the port and downtown area of Seattle and the hotel's bar staff very friendly as were all the staff we met. Room very comfortable and spacious and the bed and pillows were super comfortable.”

• Very convenient location.
• Parking was very expensive, and the hotel charged to use their computers (free WiFi though).

“Staff was very helpful, and the lobby was very nice. While this Westin was in predominantly good shape, the hallways could use some updating (paint, carpet, etc). Also, the lighting in the bathroom was terrible.”

“If you should need anything - limo, flowers, restaurant reservations, directions or what ever ask for Charlotte at the concierge desk. This lady took care of everything with out a concern or question which made our visit IDEAL.”

• Very clean and conveniently located.
• Mini bar was unavailable to store anything in!

“This hotel was very clean and centrally located. We drove to the restaurant and were met by a valet who mentioned an additional secure parking location, located via skywalk next to the hotel that would cost half the price. All of the staff who we met with were very pleasant to deal with. We look forward to staying in this hotel again.”

• I asked for a room facing west and got it. View was fantastic, personnel were wonderful.
• Although the room appeared very clean, it had a horrible smell.

“Overall a very nice place to stay. The room furnishings were very nice and we had everything we needed. Very comfortable beds. We asked for a west facing room for the sunset and they accommodated us immediately. The view was fantastic. They provided good coffee and wine glasses. The only problem was that the room smelled. Like body odor and it stayed that way so that was a problem. We were in the north tower and I wonder if the sound tower might be a bit more updated. Also there was a ten dollar fee for internet access.”

“The hotel's location is excellent. Its close to excellent restaurants and downtown. We had a stellar view of Alkai Point and Elliot Bay. This hotel is everything that I like when I travel. Beds and pillows are dreamy.”

• Not a great location - on the fringes of a pretty gritty downtown area.

“Good value for what we paid. The first room we were given smelled of smoke and was not well-located. Front-desk immediately moved us to an excellent room, no problem.Beds were very comfortable. I would be disappointed if I paid anything close to rack rate.”

• Location, among other great attributes, especially the concierges,beds,views.

“The Seattle Westin is located within walking distance of about everything any tourist would want to see in downtown Seattle. The ambiance inside the hotel is as good as it gets. Even with the bustle of a very busy hotel, the lobbies were peaceful places. Everyone we met while in Seattle, as especially reflected by the Westin staff, were extremely courteous, helpful, and mindful of how lost the traveler can be (for example, not seeing the monorail when it is right behind you). Would recommend it and Priceline to everyone!”

• The location was perfect.
• Room was very dated, carpet torn, stained couch, no fan in bathroom.

“The location of this hotel was great, however it did not live up to what I've come to expect from a Westin Hotel. The room was very dated, the carpet was fraying, and the couch had multiple stains on it. Parking was rather expensive as well.”

• The view of the Puget Sound with ferries coming and going was spectacular, as was the night skyline.
• Fancy hotels charge way too much for parking.

“Our stay was a bargain, traveler's dream come true. We were given a huge room on the 41st floor of the north tower with giant windows overlooking the skyline and Puget Sound. The room had a wet bar and living room and dining table, plus a Murphy bed and sofa bed. We used our entertainment book to eat for half price in the hotel's restaurant. The cold water bar and grill, enjoying scrumptious paella. The only drawback to the whole thing was the reason we were there: surgery at Virginia Mason Hospital at 6 am. the next morning.”

• The view from our room was awful. It was just a Grey wall. But I can live with it since I got it for such a good price.

• I didn't like the paper-thin walls: the noise @ 1 a.m. was unbelievable.

“The Westin in Seattle does not deserve four stars. I shall enumerate: paper-thin walls (how true this was I found out the following morning; additional charge for in-room wi-fi; dirty bath tub; and, broken iron (for which I waited 20 minutes to have replaced), & when I plugged it in I nearly pushed through the electrical socket & into the corridor. The restaurant bartender and other staff were phenomenal.”

“Good location near the space needle. The hotel was built in the 1970's or so but has recently been updated. Not an extremely luxurious hotel, but nonetheless upscale with good amenities. The two hotel towers are tall and it is possible to get a room with a great view.”

• Wall / doors s are too thin. Extremely noisy when room has connecting doors.

“Nice hotel, great location. Rooms are nicely appointed. Only sore point: Connecting doors to other rooms allow huge amount of noise especially screaming kids. Room doors also should be more sound proof, so one doesn't hear drunken people singing at 3 am.Stay away from rooms close to elevators or rooms with connecting doors, unless you don't mind noise and screaming kids.”

• The location relative to major city attractions and public transit was excellent.
• Staying on the 10th floor, there was a lot of traffic noise both into the night and early morning. Upper floors were probably better.
