• Bed and shower.
• Cleaning lady and other staff.

“When we checked in we were given the wrong room, so we had to move. The only reason this is note worthy is because the man repeated to me what my room was suppose to be. We also had a problem with the cleaning lady taking our pillow cases and replacing them with the hotel pillow cases (at one point I thought we were going to be charged for the pillow cases)! The cleaning lady also failed to clean everything in the room leaving beer glasses and coffee cups out. On another note the bed was comfortable, the location is good. I just did not get the feeling of 4 star treatment as we were finishing a trip where we stayed at three other hotels/resorts and this was the worse as far as follow through.”

• Very accommodating staff, extremely comfortable beds.
• Bathroom: design too cramped and the shower head was a little grungy.

“We overall enjoyed our stay at the hotel. For the price it was a very comfortable room. Room service was a little sub-par. The staff is very courteous and accommodating. In fact, we accidentally left a cell phone and some cash in the room, and when we discovered this 2 days later, we found it had indeed been turned in to Lost and Found and the personnel at L&F were extremely helpful in getting it returned to us.”

• Really cheap looking furniture and flimsy pillows in the bed. Y times and USA today instead of local paper.

“The Westin Seattle is a nice hotel for business or leisure travel. It's a great location and the staff could not be more friendly or helpful. Parking's a little steep, but you could say that about anywhere in Seattle!”

• No free internet. In rooms had to cable. In lobby had to have access codes for just two hours. I can stay at an inexpensive hotel and get free wireless.

“The hotel was well situated, close to all the great Downtown activities like Pikes Place and had great views. But, don't expect to be able to surf the internet for free, even in the lobby you need an access code that is good for only 2 hours. Its a real hassle in a wired city.”

• Very clean, good room service, nice location.
• Front desk gave me a poorly located room, but when I complained I was moved to a very nice room. That should have happened in the first place.

“Very clean and friendly staff. I had breakfast twice in my room and the selection was quite nice, the delivery prompt, and the server very nice. The hotel is within walking distance of the Pike Street Market, the waterfront, and the monorail to the Space Needle. There is a very nice lobby bar. The room had very nice beds.”

• The view from the 36th floor and the central location.
• The pool was under renovation.

“The hotel, room, and location were optimal. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable, especially the concierges. The view from the upper floors is excellent, though the west facing rooms are better. Unfortunately the pool was under renovation, which was a disappointment.”

“The front desk would not check us in until their official check in time. And then we were told that we only had the choice of a room with two beds. We were able to upgrade at a nominal fee to a room with a King size bed. The room and view was worth the upgrade.”

• The bathroom was pretty tight quarters. Disappointed that the pool was closed.

“Hotel is in a great location, very convenient to all attractions. Room was very clean and had a mini bar. The hotel was a bit dated and it is a big hotel so the lobby was always full. The restaurant was ok but pricey. They charged for internet usage which is ridiculous these days. Overall it was a nice hotel and worth the price.”

“The views from the towers are beautiful. We had a view of the space needle and the water. The room was very comfortable and clean. Staff was very friendly. The only negative was we were asked for a king bed for a romantic trip, and they only had two full size bed rooms available. Hotel was blocks away from the market, dining and entertainment.”

“It was beautiful. We could see the ocean and cruise ships from our bedroom window. The view was incredible. Bed was extremely comfortable and the room was very clean. Very nice linens on the bed. Enjoyed the stay very much. Employees were not very friendly. I prefer the Marriott for that.”

• The bed was comfortable and the robe too.
• No cable, watered down drinks, pool out of order.

“I would not want to stay there again. Five channels on the TV, bad salmon for breakfast, watered down drink, the pool and hot tub were out of order on the weekend. They said if you touched anything in the fridge you had to pay for it. It was on infrared or something. They did not bring you a Sunday paper-you had to ask for it.”

“Great location with wonderful restaurants within walking distance. Westin is still a favorite of ours with their "heavenly beds." The rooms at the Westin Seattle are certainly in need of updating and furniture refurbishing. We arrived on a day when the temperature in Seattle was in the 80's & our room temperature was in the 90's. We later discovered that the air conditioner was not functioning properly. Fortunately, we received prompt attention from the hotel maintenance department and a new thermostat was replaced within an hour.”

• Perfect location, close proximity to anything you want to see or do.
• Housekeeping definitely not detail oriented in the room. They lacked in several areas.

“The location of the hotel is perfect for all kinds of visitors. The staff is friendly, I would give staff about 3.5 stars. I encourage anyone to take up the challenge of making any of their 3 concierges smile. (I saw it occur only once over a 7 day period). Also, its too business class friendly. Whenever meetings were going on (everyday), you had to fight your way through 300 people wearing various badges just to get to the elevator. Good luck ever enjoying the lobby bar, its filled with people with badges on their laptops, alone, sitting at 4-person tables not drinking anything or eating. Very frustrating when you want to go there for a night cap. This happened all 7 nights of my stay. In the end, I went to this hotel for the location, the heavenly bed and bath. Advice for business travelers, if you stay here, be courteous and expense your internet room charge, don't hog the lobby from other guests just for free internet. Use your room and meeting spaces for that!”

• You could hear people running on the treadmill if you were on the 10th floor.

• We had a great view of Lake Union and the Space Needle. Convenient downtown location.
• There is a lot of hallway noise through the thin doors to the rooms.

“The Westin Seattle was a very nice hotel. The only complaint I had was the fact that you could hear everything and everyone in the hallway through the thin room doors. The room was very comfortable with one full wall of windows that provided a wonderful view of Lake Union and the Space Needle. The staff was extremely friendly, and it was within walking distance of all major downtown attractions and businesses, including being across the street from the monorail to Seattle Center.”

“The location of this hotel is perfect, walking distance to most attractions in Seattle. However, this doesn't qualify as a 4-star hotel: the rooms are outdated and not as clean as they should be (stripes on walls, spatter on bathroom door), the staff is not friendly (they charged us for the complimentary water we received and didn't believe me when I complained).”

• One way street access was inconvenient.

“Conveniently located in downtown Seattle. Nice but expensive restaurants. All amenities are very costly. $5 for can of soda or bottle of water and $35 a day to park your vehicle. $1.50 for a local phone call and $10 a day for internet hookup. The bed is great and the view from most rooms on the higher floors is great.”

• It was comfortable, attractive and convenient. The concierge was especially helpful.
• I had to call housekeeping for supplies twice that had apparently been forgotten when making the room up.

“It was well located for our needs, within easy walking distance of great shopping, sightseeing and restaurants. My grown daughter and I felt comfortable walking even in the evening after dark with no hint of threat. I don't know that I would stay here if I had a car that I needed to park. I believe that's pretty spendy but there are multiple public transportation facilities to take advantage of should one need to travel beyond walking distance as well as the concierge who offered to call us a cab.”

• Kindly upgraded our room to a wonderful view of the city and sound. Bed was very comfortable; shower/bath was relaxing, very spacious room.
• Fan in bathroom was not working.

“The Westin kindly upgraded our room upon arrival so we had a wonderful view of the city and Puget Sound. The bed was very comfortable and our room felt quiet and private. The deluxe two head shower/bath was relaxing. The room was very spacious. We also enjoyed a complementary wine tasting in the lounge before walking to a nearby restaurant for dinner. There were so many good restaurants nearby to choose from! The concierge was very helpful. It was a perfect romantic getaway.”

• No happy hour.

“Excellent Downtown location, check out the famous Jazz Alley Club one block away. Parking would have been expensive had we not been directed to the parking facility next door to the hotel, which worked out at $19 per night.”

• Easy location to commute to spots in Seattle.
• Could not get hot water for shower.

“This hotel is nice but not what I would consider a 4 star hotel. I had an early meeting but didn't have hot water for a shower. By the end of the shower I was chilled. While the staff responded by sending up a maintenance person when I called about it, I had already suffered through the tepid shower and didn't have time to wait for someone to figure out what was wrong and re-shower.”

“OK. Nice view of space needle but not a special room nor and special experience. Went out to dinner only to come home tired but happy to find both our keys did not work. 15 minutes later finally got in our room. Pool under renovation requiring us to go to hotel many blocks away for pool use that was promised to our kids. A pain with little apology from this hotel.”

• Stayed here a ton! The location and room views are great.
• Staff is stuffy ! The pool was closed for repairs once again ! It was our children's spring Break. Needless to say we were very disappointed w/ our trip.
