• The concierge was excellent.

“The hotel was excellent, the bed was great, big screen TV, close to all the attractions (3 minutes from pike's market). On the water. Definitely will go back to this hotel in the future.”

• The staff was great and location was ideal for us.

“We stayed at the hotel for three nights. The staff is exceptional and very friendly. The concierge was very helpful. She helped us with plans for sightseeing out of the city. The meal we had at the restaurant was the best we had in Seattle. My daughter loved the pool. Overall we had a terrified stay.”

• Bit of a hike to many of the downtown restaurants.

• The food at the restaurant was fantastic.

“This hotel combines the expected Marriot quality and luxury with the pulse of Seattle. The glass undersea artwork in the hotel lobby exhibits the glasswork for which Seattle is known. Some of Seattle's best locations such as Pike's Place Market, the Downtown, and the waterfront ferries are all easily accessible. The football and baseball stadiums are just a short cab ride away. But what really sets this hotel apart is the Fish Club restaurant. It is upscale, not overly intimidating or stuffy, and it serves some seriously good food - Gourmet, world class.”

• Up to date, clean, very nice.
• No free parking. The garage we had to pay to park in, gave us a ticket for not vacating by 7 a.m. On a Sunday morning!

• Excellent and accommodating staff! My room was very comfortable and clean. I also liked the gym.
• I wish the wireless internet was free (however, I was able to use the business room computers for free).

• Nicely appointed - comfortable and cozy. Great view.
• Better sound and light insulation needed (full drapes and a more solid door). Also, housekeeping starts at 8 am - a trifle early and noisy.

• Rooms not cleaned well after the second day (I stayed 5 days). Repairs not done fully.

• Its right by pike place market.
• It's a fair walk uphill to most of the downtown attractions.

“Wonderful hotel. Beautiful views of the sound and it had a very helpful staff. The bed was a bit too hard for my back but the place was immaculate and only a two minute walks to pike place market!”

• I liked the location.
• It would be nice if they offered free parking.

“The only drawback is the added cost to park. I think the parking should be reduced by at least half. The hotel was located in a prime spot on the waterfront. Lots of great restaurants and things to do close by. The lobby was very nice, and the room was very comfortable. Although, getting to the room was rather far down the hall.”

• I was able to get a room 2 days before new years eve there.
• It was far from everything we wanted to do, after being told otherwise.

• I thought the lobby was just gorgeous.
• Liked everything.

“The Marriott at the waterfront is a great hotel. It is located right in the heart of the waterfront in the downtown Seattle area. The indoor/outdoor pool and Jacuzzi are small but fun. I took 4 teenage girls on new years eve and they had a blast! Great hotel all around.”

• Beautiful lobby, near the water, convenient to sightseeing.
• Parking was outrageous.

“Our room was not ready at check-in time. We had to take a room with double beds and they were too small for two adults. The staff was friendly, the decor great and it is conveniently located to the waterfront attractions and other great restaurants. We enjoyed being at the hotel.”

• Proximity to everything.
• $30 extra for my car for the second night.

“I booked and was charged an extra $30 for my rental car to spend the night there with us. This was an unpleasant surprise and ruined what otherwise would have been an all 10's experience. Fell free to send me, or have Marriott send me $30.”

• It had an excellent location.
• No one answered the phone when I called the concierge at around midnight.

“This hotel has an excellent location, close to Pike Place Market. The rooms were clean and spacious. One of the drawbacks to staying in this hotel is that the airport shuttle does not go down to the waterfront, so you must take a taxi to the airport.”

• I did not like being on the waterfront, and I did not like having valet parking only.

“I would not stay in the hotel again. The summertime, staying down on the waterfront would be okay, but I have always stayed "uptown" and feel safer and closer to what I want to do.”

• The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful throughout out stay.
• There was no alternative to valet parking, which cost 28.00 a day.

“Overall, the Marriott Waterfront was an excellent hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our entire stay. The inside of the hotel was clean and well decorated. And, the hotel bar/restaurant was classy yet affordable.”

• This hotel is far better than the 4 star Sheraton also in Seattle (I Stayed here the previous night).
• Location is difficult to get to , sort of away from the heart of the action.

“Great hotel for the price. Is more like a 3 star than a three star. Beautiful pool, great views from the room - has modern decor and very helpful staff. I'd stay again for sure if I got the same price.”

“This is a gorgeous hotel across the street from Anthony's Restaurant where we had dinner. The rooms are beautiful with feather pillows and bedding. The staff is wonderfully helpful and we enjoyed our stay immensely. We would come back to this hotel again!”

“I read the previous reviews for this hotel before booking and saw there were two negative reviews. I travel frequently to Seattle and this hotel met all my needs. Great loction, nice rooms and a friendly staff. Don't let a couple of extra bucks keep you from having a great stay. ”

• The view from our back room was great. We could see parts of the bay and cruise ships
• The comforter looked like it had grape juice spilled on it and the headboard was very dusty. Not what you typically see at Marriott

“We rode the train to Seattle. It was 6 1/2 hours late. We didn't get to the room until after 2 am. I had called and requested a king, non-smoking room. By the time we arrived there was only a smoking room left. We stayed in the room, but the smoke from the halls came pouring in. We called the desk to see if we could change rooms. They said to pack up our things and they would put them in a new room. I had just ironed all the clothes and didn't want them back in the bag. When my husband explained that, the fellow answering the phone was not the typical Marriott staff. He told us that was our problem. My husband asked if we couldn't hang our clothes on the cart until a room became available. He finally agreed. A room became available while we were still packing and they helped us move in. We got several calls during our stay to make sure everything was okay. We always enjoy our stays at a Marriott. ”

“My husband and I went away for our five-year anniversary and wanted to go somewhere we'd never been before. Seattle, WA. We had read some good reviews about this one and decided to book our weekend at this hotel. We were absolutely blown away by our stay here; the people were so extremely nice! We had a very romantic candle-lit dinner at the Fish Club and the manager even bought our dessert in celebration. I honestly have never felt more welcome and special while staying at a hotel. They definitely made our anniversary a memorable one.”

• Their staff is amazing! Every staff member greeted us as we walked through. Their customer service is awesome!
• There was no refrigerator in the room.

• The hotel staff was helpful and rooms were clean.
• We didn't like the breakfast we had at the hotel restaurant.

“We had a great time in Seattle...we visited Pikes Market which is close walking distance to the hotel. It was a little far to walk to other restaurants but you could easily walk down the boardwalk to the seafood restaurants, aquarium, ferry and shopping. The staff was very helpful and kind. We loved the pool and spa. It was a great weekend can't wait to go back.”

“Upon arrival we were not given any choices of bed size, yet the next customer was? Also make sure you look at there web site very carefully I was hit with a $26.00 parking fee" for there own garage. I was not overly impressed with this location."”

• The food in the restaurant was excellent. Great Location and service was as good as it gets.

“This hotel has it all in Seattle. Great Location right on the waterfront. Sit in the fish club restaurant in and look out at the Ferry Boats coming across the bay . They have a wonderful Buffet. The entire staff was warm and curteous.The rooms were spacious and above all super clean. The beds are as comfortable as it gets. I will be back to stay.”

“I was flying into Seattle to go on the Alaskan cruise. Since I have never been to Seattle, I wanted a day to explore the city so I spent the night at the Seattle Marriott Waterfront. The city was really fun because they had really great seafood restaurants and awesome downtown attractions such as Safeco Field, Seattle Space Needle and great shopping. It was a great way to start my trip and even better, the next day when the cruise ship was getting ready to leave port, I was only minutes away so I didn't have to rush.”

“At first I wasn't excited about having to travel to Seattle on business because I've heard it's the city where it's always raining. I flew into the city on a beautiful day and left on an even more gorgeous day. Not only was the hotel remarkable but its surroundings were quite a site to see, I wish I could have stayed longer. I ate dinner one night at the Fish Club which is an upscale seafood restaurant. Regardless if you are a seafood lover or not, Id be sure to get reservations to the restaurant because it was a delight!”
