• We liked the location.
• We did not like the fact that it was not really family friendly hotel.

“Overall out stay at the hotel was nice. The location was awesome, it was easy to get to the hotel and convenient. We traveled with 3 children so they enjoyed the pool.”

• Location.
• Stains on floor, outrageous parking fees and condescending front desk clerk.

“Lower the star rating to a three and it would be nice. Remind the help who they work for. Eliminate parking fees to hotel guests.”

• The open lobby
• Tiny cramped bar

“The low level of cleanliness in the bathroom was absolutely unacceptable. The entire experience (huge maid carts still blocking the long hallways at 7pm) was a get em in get em out spot to stay. I even wondered if they changed the sheets.”

• Clean, convenient and comfortable.
• No nearby stores, gas station or shopping.

“For the business traveler not needing immediate access to downtown San Francisco, trhis hotel is perfect. Service is excellent, workout room, pool, business center and lounge are all top notch. Very close to SFO Airport, less than a mile from the 101 freeway and not too far from San Francisco's financial district make this a great spot to stay.”

• Very large room with a comfortable bed.

“We had a beautiful room with a nice view. We only stayed for 1 night before our early morning flight. We took the shuttle to and from the airport. Everything worked out great.”

• Took porter too long to bring up luggage, had to call down.

“Nice location near the water. Modern upscale rooms with easy shuttle service to SFO. Hotel has a beautiful lobby and entry way as well.”

• Location, space, cleanliness. It is very close to airport and not far from downtown and freeway.
• Breakfast has very limited choice including the buffet.

• Great bed, quiet room.
• Hallways and elevator area are dimly lit.

“Very nice hotel, very nice staff. The 1st room we were assigned smelled like smoke. We asked for another room and got one with no problem and with apologies. The bed was perfect, a pillow top with individual springs like a Simmons. There was no sound from other rooms. The bathroom was very nice and roomy. There was a duel shower head in the shower. The only minor complaint, the restaurant had good food but the menu was limited and pricey, (orange juice for breakfast was $5.00 a glass).”

• The rooms and public areas were very clean.
• While the service personnel were friendly front desk personnel somewhat reserved.

“The cleanliness is excellent. Its close proximity to the airport as well as a good selection of restaurants is ideal for travelers with limited stays.”

• Location to airport.
• Looking a little run down.

“Good overnighter before leaving from SFO. Shuttle every 20 minutes; rooms very quiet, beds comfortable. Looking a little run down in some of the public areas and not what you'd expect from a Westin or 4-star hotel, but nothing terrible, either.”

• Comfortable Bed.
• Parking cars can be accommodated well.

“Overall experience was great at this hotel. Parking was the only problem that we had since there was an educational conference going inside the hotel. Besides that the hotel staff and service was excellent.”

• Helpfulness of staff, very attractive, up to date décor.
• My room was missing bathrobes, which I had to call for.

“Located a convenient distance from the San Francisco airport, the Westin is an up to date, attractive hotel. Self parking ($18) was near by and convenient, valet parking was available; the lobby bar had icy cold on tap beers. Despite 2 noisy parties off the lobby, no noise made it up to the guest rooms. Staff was helpful. Easy to print out boarding passes at business office. Starbucks coffeemaker in room. Minuses: robes missing from rooms so we had to call for them. 16 kids were playing in pool, but were well supervised by accompanying adults. I would go back again.”

• It was near the airport and had free shuttle service to the airport. Also, it was near a BART station.
• Our hotel bathroom was filthy & when we called someone up to clean it he didn't get it all done. For our inconvenience, we only got 1 free breakfast.

“The hotel itself was lovely and a great deal, but when we wanted to check in it was nearly midnight, we were very tired, and we had to wait almost 10 minutes to find someone to help us. Then we got to our hotel room and found the bathroom was filthy! Not something you expect at a nice hotel. I would recommend this hotel to patient people.”

• Bar is too small - gets crowded easily. Poor service in Bar as a result.

• Nice hotel amenities, lobby, etc.
• I was placed in a smoking room and could not breathe all night long.

“The stench in the hallway was unbelievable. The room was worse. My wife and I could hardly breathe. There was mold all over the bathroom. ”

• Very helpful staff; had a Starbuck's in lobby.
• A little shabby;carpet coming up by bathroom door, etc.

“Staff friendly and helpful;took care of problems quickly. Power went out on 19th (don't think it was hotel's fault,something going on in area) but that was inconvenient as it happened fairly in AM when we were trying to get ready to go out. We were on 7th floor, elevators didn't work. Hotel did best to accomodate guests.”

“I was particularly impressed with the overall standard of the room. Bed linens and pillows were unusually well decked out for this level of hotel, and dual showerhead was a refreshing improvement over those super economy type devices you usually find!”

“The hotel was very dated but I was more concerned with the cleanliness of the operation. Being a Westin hotel I expected much more. The bathroom looked like it was in need of a good scrubbing. Hardly Westin like. Also being charged $14.00 to park my rental car at the hotel was somewhat of a shock. I passed hotel after hotel on the same street which had free parking for their guests.”
