• It is conveniently located.
• It had the worst lobby staffs ever.

“This is a very conveniently located hotel. It is not luxurious or upscale but clean & tidy. My biggest complain with this hotel is the staffs ((lobby, door)). They are very unprofessional. I don't think I've ever seen such unfriendly staff in any hotel. I didn't expect Hyatt, Westin level quality but I was expecting similar to Marriott, Hilton level service & I was sorely disappointed. They definitely need to learn customer service skills.”

• Comfort of the beds.
• The hotel staff did not treat me the same as the rest of the guest

“Hotel staff never told me about the extras wine in the living room in the evening free coffee, etc also when
I asked about parking my car, that they charge $40.00 for she told me she was busy to come back, I've never heard of someone to busy for their customers.”

“The hotel was a great experience, once I hope to repeat should I visit San Francisco again. Staff was very friendly and very professional. I can't give enough high fives to them and the facility itself! Great location, with the Bay Bridge within sight and the shopping location was great. Access to underground and above ground public transportation made getting around the city easy to do!”

• Small, unique, super clean, modern rooms with an incredible location.
• The rooms were very small.

“Located on the Embarcadero, this Kimpton brand hotel has lots of character and great amenities like free internet, free coffee in the a.m., and free wine/beer in the p.m. The rooms are very small, and some are so tiny it is difficult to move around without getting bruised. If at all possible, pay the extra money for the even numbered rooms, which look out onto palm trees and the incredible Bay Bridge view. The beds and linens are to die for and it is quiet for the most part.”

• Very convenient and clean.

“The hotel was exactly what I was looking for. It provided me with a comfortable bed that I was in desperate need of and the staff was extremely helpful and nice. A great place to stay for a night or weekend. I would not recommend staying there for an extended period because the room was a little small.”

• Incredibly comfortable bed, nice toiletries!
• Very small room - but very attractive.

“Perfect location for many itineraries. Very nice/hip furnishings and decor, but the room was quite small. The neighborhood is very safe, close to lots of great stuff. Highly recommended!”

• Attractive, modern, nice amenities in the room and public spaces.
• Rooms a bit small, no breakfast served at hotel.

“We had a great stay at the Harbor Court. It's a lovely, comfortable, and modern hotel in a superb location right on the Embarcadero. We did not have a view of the Bay but we peeked into a room that did - stunning! Rooms are a bit small, but we were hardly there! Definitely recommended.”

• The service and location were absolutely out of this world!
• The rooms were small but I believe that is the standard for a boutique hotel.

“Truly just an amazing location! Situated right on the embarcadero within in walking distance to some of the top restaurants in San Francisco including the highly sought after Boulevard which is just a block away. The rooms are small but very well appointed with just about everything that you could ask for. I would highly recommend this hotel to business travelers and couples looking for that special weekend!”

• The hotel was elegant and cozy. The staff was extremely friendly.
• Overnight parking was expensive and pre-planning. Wished the restaurant delivered service later than 9:30 PM.

• Location, friendly, clean, rooms redone TV coffee in morning. It was very pleasant.
• Parking fee.

“Cool hotel very near Ferry Building and all major bus/trolley lines. Several restaurants nearby and a great view of the bay. Nice location not nearly as much hustle and bustle of Union Square which is nice.”

“We had a wonderful stay. So many eateries and shops within walking distance, almost next door. Public transit was very accessible. Next time we will leave our car across the bay and take Bart into the city. Parking was costly.”

“Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Rooms on the small side but what you'd expect for a boutique, city hotel. Very clean and well appointed. Only negatives are that they do not serve breakfast and cannot accommodate more than two guests per room.”

• The helpless of the purser was excellent.
• Very small room and no fridge.

“It is a nice hotel (for business travelers). This is also one of the reasons why it didn't meet my expectations. On this trip, this was the 16th hotel I stayed at. No breakfast included.”

• Small rooms but designed very well.

“Great place to come home to while vacationing in San Francisco, warm, cozy with a fireplace and wine tasting in the lobby. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Well stocked mini bar. Great location on the Bay near great dinning and the Financial District. Very good restaurant in/attached to the hotel Ozumo's- best sushi and drinks.”

• Much nicer than expected (can be hit or miss in SF). We'll definitely go there again!
• $40+ per night to park a car, but that's expected in SF I guess.

Room was very clean and modern and a decent size for a hotel in SF. Excellent food next door (Boulevard - one of the best in SF) plus great sushi (Ozumo - attached to the hotel). Financial District was nice and easy to get to North area of SF (Pier 39, Fisherman's Warf, etc) on a trolley or a 20min walk (back of hotel is right on Embarcadero street).”

“Location was great. The lobby was inviting, especially the social hours between 5 and 6 PM with the complimentary beer and wine. The fresh cookies at 9 PM was a very nice touch.”

• Trendy, cool lobby, helpful and convenient location.
• Stuck us in a tiny room when they saw that we had a small child and crib.

“A trendy and hip interior that featured a free wine hour. A short walk to quick food, the embarcadero, AT&T Park and just a few blocks from the heart of downtown SF. This unique boutique hotel is not without history, which makes the retro military hang out that much more interesting.”

• The location is perfect. Near the Ferry Building and close enough to the wharf that it isn't a long walk.
• The room was so small that you barely have room to walk around the bed.

“Great location with plenty of good restaurants and close to the Bart Embarcadero stop. My only complaint are the tiny rooms they place you in. They are so small that you can barely walk around with a second person in the room. Otherwise good staff, clean facilities and a quiet room.”

“I would definitely recommend this hotel. The lobby and staff was very nice. Apples and coffee set out for snacks, well decorated. The rooms were a tad small and have a big mirror on the wall (kind of disconcerting looking at yourself allot). But they were very clean, the bed was very comfortable, the bathrooms had been redone. Right on bus lines to tour the city. Worked very well for us.”

• Closest self parking was somewhere down a couple blocks off Howard.

“Very clean and recently renovated hotel. Rooms were small, but that is to be expected in SF. It's conveniently located right across from Fisherman's Warf which is great for a quick meal of fried shrimp, fish and chips. While you're at it, you might as well take a friend and get a clam chowder bowl. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone.”

“Good price, good location (close to Bart and pier 1), helpful staff. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable, except it was just smaller than we expected. Also, some of the things we have come to expect to be complementary, such as a razor, or other toiletries, cost 3 to 5 dollars each. It made the hotel seem sort of cheep, despite the nice style if the hotel.”

• The lobby was stunning, they hosted drinks and snacks, the restaurant next door was great!
• The rooms were so small the full sized bed only had one foot on each side to move around in.

“This hotel is not for a family. We have a 2yr old and there was nowhere for him to stand in the room. They were only full sized beds. Parking is $40 per night and it isn't onsite, it is around the corner in a parking garage. The lobby is beautiful and spacious, not like the rooms. The employees were helpful, but couldn't change anything (bed size, room location). I would only recognize this hotel for a business traveler that doesn't need a lot of room or need to spend a lot of time in it.”

• The hotel was in the perfect location for a weekend trip in the city! Plenty of dining and entertainment.
• I felt that I didn't get the same service as other guest.

“The hotel, overall, was very nice. The queen room was a little on the small side, but is was clean and had a relaxing aura which made up for the size. The only complaint I have was that I called at least three times and attempted to request a king size bed. When I called the night before I was told it would be no problem, but when I went to check in and said I asked a king bed, the women behind the desk responded, oops sorry it seems like were all booked for the weekend, with out even looking at her screen. From there no attempt was made to handle my request! I spent more than I wanted to so that I could stay on the Embarcadero with view of the city but ended up with a view of an alley way instead.”

• The location of this hotel is excellent. That is the selling point.
• The room was very small.

“The experience was very pleasant. The location made up for the small room. For business travelers it is perfect. For a couple it is good as well. For kids and families it is not good. The staff is very helpful and friendly. But over all I had a great time and would recommend this place to any couple.”

“They told me that I could not check in until the last room was free. It was 10x10 unaccommodating for 2 single women traveling together, moldy shower, absolutely no room for luggage. It was a horrible experience!”

“This Kempton hotel is a great find in the Embarcadero. It's a quaint and charming place in spite of the traditionally small SF hotel space and the animal print, common in all Kempton hotels, is all the more striking in a smaller space.”
