• Great hotel with awesome location in downtown San Francisco.
• Bathrooms were clean, but old, and not of four star quality.

• Bed was very comfortable. Room and hotel was beautiful and within walking distance to major attractions and public transportation.
• $57/night to park. $10/day for internet access.

“I was very pleased with the hotel and felt I got a lot of bang for my buck. The bed was extremely comfortable, the hotel was handsome, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Internet access should be free however. Drinks and food were expensive, but that was to be expected.”

• It is a beautiful hotel that has an amazing sculpture/waterfall in the atrium. Rooms were very comfortable.
• Lots of walking just to get in and out of hotel.

• The view was amazing. I liked the decor and style of the hotel. The overall experience was very good.
• The hotel was very full and we had to pay extra to get a room with two beds. I did not like that at all.

“The hotel is very well kept, clean, and the staff was friendly and willing to help. Though the hotel was full and they were unable to find us a room with two beds, the front desk upgraded us to a bigger room for a small cost, so that we were able to fit two roll-in beds.”

• Sophisticated looking hotel in a decent location.
• Not what I expected from a 4 star hotel.

“This hotel is designed for business travelers. It has a polished look and is in the heart of the financial district. The rooms (other than the pillows) are quite comfortable. Nothing special, but nothing bad either.”

• Great location, room had lovely view.
• Amenities in room/bath seemed a bit skimpy for this level hotel.

“The hotel is in a wonderful location, across from the Ferry House, close to public transportation, great view of the bay. The room was just fine. The elevators are glass tubes, fun to ride in.”

• The staff was very helpful and there were lots of of spacious elevators to take you to your room, perfect since we have a young child with a stroller

“This hotel is very nice and in a great location. Parking is an issue in SF, but this hotel offers valet parking, or there are several affordable self park lots just a block or two away. The rooms were spacious, we had a young child and we brought two strollers and we didn't feel cramped.”

• The overall atmosphere in the shared space and in the room was wonderful!
• Maintenance was accessing our room when we were out and we didn't have any maintenance problems that was a concern!

“We have traveled the world, and by far, this was THE most enjoyable hotel stay that we have ever had. The hotel was elegant without being pretentious. The staff was professional, courteous, and sincere. We will definitely be back to stay at the Hyatt the next time we are in the City.”

• Our room over looked the Bay and Oakland Bridge.

“A very lovely room with an excellent view. We checked out early on the last day and then spent the day touring before catching the Red Eye. They were very helpful about securing our luggage for us. I also liked the ability to print out our airline boarding passes at the front desk.”

• Service in the one restaurant they had was very fast and courteous.
• The sliding louvered bathroom door that was hung to away from the wall.

“They gave us a handicapped room and it was not a nice room. It smelled musty and the bathroom was poor. Privacy in the bathroom was poor. You could actually see into the bathroom from several angles.”

• The location was great.
• My wallet was stolen right out of my room with my wife asleep in the bed at the time.

“The hotel was nice and clean. The security and management did absolutely nothing about my wallet getting stolen. Let alone the police actually telling me that nothing would be done about it either.”

• I checked in at noon. I was coerced to upgrade my room or have to wait 3 hrs.

• Great location next to Bart Station.

“Desk staff was very professional and friendly. We arrived at 11:00 am and were allowed to check in right away. We were assigned a room with a partial bay view on the 15th floor. There was a small problem with the toilet not fully flushing. A repairman arrived promptly and fixed the problem.”

• Excellent central location to San Francisco's financial & shopping districts. Courteous staff.
• Valet parking fee was higher than I'd like, but commensurate for location.

“It was an excellent last minute choice-stay. The hotel staff was very courteous every step of the way from the valet parking & porter, through checking into our room. The porter who brought us to the room took the time to explain the location of the nearest fire exits, ice machine location, and the amenities of the room that we were not familiar with. Noise from the outside did not distract from our stay. The room was spotless as was the balcony. Never stayed at this location, but visited many times for dinner over last 30 years. I'd stay here again, any day!”

• Did not wash glasses in room - perhaps wiped clean.

“Excellent facility. However, everything was ala' carte, even morning newspaper and continental breakfast. Room refrigerator is tricky! You are charged for items within - even if you merely move them around within the refrigerator. Great concierge staff.”

• Great Location. Beautiful. Friendly staff.
• Valet took 30 minutes to retrieve car upon checkout, almost causing us to miss our flight.

“The location was great, near all of the public transportation, Union Square, Chinatown, etc. The hotel was beautiful and the staff was friendly. The only negative is that the hotel charged well over $50 per night for valet parking. I understand that this is downtown San Francisco. The retrieval of the car should be prompt.”

• This hotel is dated and in need of remodeling.

• Location to the major sites in San Francisco was very convenient.
• Found open uncapped syringe in room. Patio door would not lock.

“The hotel is poorly maintained especially in the rooms. Staff obviously does not pay attention to safety of their guest with broken locks on the outside patio doors, safes not checked causing guests to be a risk. This hotel needs to focus on customer safety and insure patio doors are secured and patios are cleaned from cigarette butts, coke cans, and other refuse. I found this hotel disgusting.”

“There was an ice rink outside the hotel for the holidays. Our room was above the ice rink. We could hear the music playing very loudly. We were also disappointed the restaurant at the top of the hotel was closed for the holidays and you have to be a Hyatt top customer to get in. We were wanted to finish the evening up there.”

• Beautiful views of Bay bridge.
• Very expensive parking and food.

“A bit loud inside and the decor is dated. The Christmas decorations made up for the cheeziness of what was a modern, upscale hotel maybe 15 years ago or more. Still, the rooms are clean, big and the service is quick. The food is ok but expensive. Parking was expensive. Other hotels in the surrounding areas do not charge so much for the weekend.”

• Steps away from Ferry Building, farmers market and Artisan Market.
• Did not like the large feel of this hotel and too much noise from elevators. Also, had to evacuate one night for fire alarm!

• Atrium is beautiful.
• Room service menu is too expensive and not ver creative. I left the hotel to eat.

“I wish it was cleaner. My carpeting needed to be cleaned in the room. The room service menu is the most expensive that I see at high end hotels in the city and doesn't really have enough creativity to make it worth the money. The hotel sits right next to a shopping center and other areas to eat. The few times I've stayed here I eat outside the hotel.”
