“Nice reception even though we were late night arrivals. We had to sleep 3 or 4 depending and that is usually awkward were our out of country guests) but they did tag a $20.00 parking charge on.” Sep 3, 2008 by
Jim from Carmichael, CA
“Probably a good location if you have business in South San Francisco or are flying in or out of SFO. Not a good location for seeing the tourist areas in SF, unless you have and don't mind driving a car.” Sep 3, 2008 by
Jill
“My husband and I had a very relaxing stay. The room was clean and nice. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was more than we expected. Plan on gaining a few pounds if you have an extended stay. Overall we were impressed.” Aug 20, 2008 by
Melida from Sacramento, CA
“Hotel is nice, staff was nice, valet was too expensive. It was ok for one night stay.” Jul 31, 2008 by
Kevin from Oakdale, CA
“I was a bit unhappy to end up with a smoking room, but the hotel was full. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable and the setting for our breakfast and the quality of the food cased us to linger over our breakfast. Staff was very friendly.” Mar 16, 2008 by
Michael from New York, NY
“Embassy Suites is a very large, suite hotel near the San Francisco airport. With large rooms, a beautiful interior and a friendly staff, the hotel offers a full breakfast, including omelets cooked to order and a location convenient to the airport.” Mar 12, 2008 by
Rolando from Austin, TX
“Overall, the hotel was nice, especially for the price. The location is in an industrial part of the bay area, so there were very limited choices for restaurants. Getting to/from San Francisco with a rental car was very easy. The hotel is close to the 101 and was easy to get into and out of.” Feb 18, 2008 by
Rachael from Franklin, OH
“This hotel is top of the line. For all they offer it should be a 4 star hotel. I have stayed in 4 star hotels that werent as nice as this one. Free breakfast, free evening snack, free internet and office area, everything was awesome. Staff was super helpful and friendly. I was very impressed by my stay here and would defiantly return if ever in the area.” Nov 25, 2007 by
Marianne from San Luis Obispo, CA
“The hotel is north of the airport, takes some getting used to find but overall very comfortable and definitely worth the extra travel. We enjoyed the spaciousness of the rooms (suite) and the overall comfort. The breakfast bar was excellent, food made to order and included in the hotel price. Good value for the price!” Nov 8, 2007 by

“My husband, 9 year old daughter and I went to the SF opera. This hotel was only 30 minutes away, if you hit traffic right and the price was right. The tropical lobby was very inviting; Koi fish, fountain and lots of greenery. When we got there they said they only had a king bed and 2 double beds would not be ready for another hour (which is when we had to leave fully dressed for the opera. This is what I explained to the clerk). She did eventually cave in and found us a room with 2 double beds. The room was very clean, nicely appointed and comfortable. In the morning, my husband was upset to find two portions of decaf coffee and no regular coffee for the coffee maker. The breakfast buffet was a zoo! 12 empty tables, none of them cleaned off but piled with dirty dishes and no busboy/girl in site; had to clean off our own table. Poor quality omelet, over cooked. Out of pancakes. Poor quality pastries. [Next time I think Ill just have a bagel and cream cheese]. If you eliminate the breakfast experience, it was otherwise a nice stay.” Oct 1, 2007 by

“Management was rude, his name was also Michael, and I didn't get his last name. He was management at midnight. I had some people over and he told me it was not allowed and gave me some guidelines so I wouldn't be kicked out. I followed them and at the end of it all, he kicks me and my party out. First off, 2 rooms were reserved and both were supposed to have 2 twins, so 12 people in total can spend the night. We had more than 12 come over, but they weren't staying over, so he told us to go down to the bar/restaurant. So we did so. When they were closing up down there, the people who weren't staying still had their belongings in our room, so they proceeded to go up and get their things, clean up a little and proceeded to leave. Some strayed behind a bit longer than others, but they were leaving. Management then comes up and tells us to evacuate the room because we had too much traffic going in and out. I tried to explain, but he wouldn't budge. I told him we followed everything he asked of us, no one around us complained about being too noisy or anything, and he still wouldn't budge. He wouldn't offer a refund or anything, just that he wasn't open to anymore discussions. After trying a bit more to talk things out him got really rude and started using smart remarks and answering rudely. He then said to take our stuff and leave. We had a lot going on, we were in the midst of cleaning up for the night but we couldn't finish. He just wanted us out, so we just took our stuff and left as is because that's what he wanted. The credit card company is being called to dispute the charges. I'm never going to this hotel again and hope that the manager, Mr. I'm ex law enforcement that's why they hired me, realizes what he did was wrongful and issues the refund we deserve without having to take things further. Again, no one around us complained, a lot of others we met there were louder, and were also with us downstairs, and they were never hassled. The hotel is supposedly doing renovations, which they really do need. By the way, parking sucked, many vehicles were occupying two spaces. We reserved 2 rooms with 2 beds, but were given 2 rooms with 2 queens, and couldn't be moved because the hotel was booked for the night.” Sep 10, 2007 by
Brian from Kahului, HI
“Enjoyed all facilities here.” Sep 1, 2007 by
Rosemary from Humble, TX
“Overall, experience was great. Rooms very clean. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Staff was courteous/professional. I will return to this location which provides airport shuttle and less than 10 min. from airport. Great overall experience. I traveled with my 21-year-old daughter and 81-year-old mother.” Aug 27, 2007 by
Cardie from Los Angeles, CA
“Good hotel with freeway access - stay only if you have a car. Too far from SFSU, next time will stay closer in Daly city or something. Lots going on. Good breakfast but bad happy hour food.” Aug 15, 2007 by
Sam from San Dimas, CA
“Great service and atmosphere. Good food and complimentary breakfast. Two-room suites are wonderful!” Aug 4, 2007 by
Robert from Chicago, IL
“I had a large and well-furnished suite. Staffs were courteous and helpful. Very good complimentary breakfast served daily, with many choices. Housekeeping staff kept the room immaculate.” Aug 4, 2007 by
Michael from Oxnard, CA
“I will not stay at this hotel again. The hotel had 5 elevators and one was out of order, but during the morning, 2 of the other elevators were shut down which left us to taking the stairs a lot and my wife is disabled. Also, a hotel this size only had 2 washing machines and 2 dryers and one of them was out of order. This made things very inconvenient. Breakfasts could have been better too.” Aug 3, 2007 by
Nadine from St. Albert, AB CA
“Overall it was a good experience. It was satisfying to know that we could count on the hotel.” Aug 3, 2007 by
H. from Plano, TX
“Poor front desk service. At check in, was given a smoking room and claimed the hotel was full. Promised to send an ionizer to the room to clear the smell. 2 hours later and repeated calls, still no ionizer. Called again at midnight, and magically a non-smoking room was available. We made the switch. At check out, the woman at the front desk was snoozing. Seemed irritated that we interrupted her nap. Parking was terrible. Spaces marked as "Compact" but big cars and SUVs would double park.” Aug 1, 2007 by
Holly from Sacramento, CA
“This is a great alternative to staying in the San Francisco downtown hotels. Parking is free, breakfast is free (with made-to-order omelets) and hearty, the beds are very comfortable, and the rooms have been recently refurbished. Friendly staff. Overall, a great stay. Will definitely return.” Jul 29, 2007 by
Maureen from Stonington, CT
“Comfortable, clean rooms and easy commute to SFO, Quiet rooms and nicely furnished.” Jul 19, 2007 by
Monica from North Fork, CA
“It is a great hotel for staying as a couple, as we did on our anniversary, or with children. The staff is very friendly and professional. We will stay here again.” Jul 4, 2007 by
Carlos from Canyon Country, CA
“A very good hotel worth the price, especially for business travelers. Too far south for the more entertaining parts of San Francisco, but it is very conveniently located near the SFO. Shuttle service is also a nice bonus.” Jun 27, 2007 by
Beverly from Fair Oaks, CA
“My husband and I traveled for business and thought this location was outstanding - out away from the mainstream of people. The rooms were very clean and what a nice touch - having a bathrobe in the room. I loved the spaciousness and the ability to shut off the main room from the bedroom. We also got a king bed which is sometimes hard to get.” Jun 5, 2007 by
Pam from Huntersville NC
“My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the embassy suites. The complimentary breakfast was as delicious as was the complimentary happy hour! Our rooms were large and the beds were very comfy. The only negatives were no free internet access from our rooms (you can use the hotel's computers in the lobby at no charge) and the pool was closed the last 2 days of our stay due to hotel renovations. The hotel is very attractive and well kept. I would definitely stay there again if ever back in san Francisco.” Apr 27, 2007 by
Judith from Saint Louis, MO
“Very comfortable. Not actually very near the airport, but none of the "airport hotels" at so are.” Apr 21, 2006 by
Deborah from Hayward, CA
“The Embassy Suites is my favorite hotel due to the rooms are suites. They have a fabulous cook to order breakfast and complimentary happy hour was over the top. The restaurant was fabulous and the views of the bay were romantic. My kids loved the indoor pool and indoor games.” Feb 27, 2006 by
Janae from Orange, CA
“The hotel was excellent the only problem was that I couldn't access the internet from my room. It turned out ok, because it was only a one night stay, had I stayed longer I would have had to insist they fix it or move me.” Nov 5, 2005 by
Robert from Chickasaw, AL
“Good hotel in industrial area and great for business travel. No complaints for the price.” Sep 30, 2005 by
Chris from Petaluma, CA
“I was most impressed with the spaciousness of the rooms. The hotel was well maintained and provided all the amenities a traveler would require. The atmosphere of the hotel is inviting and incorporates an impressive open space centrally with a garden feel.” Feb 16, 2005 by
Adam from Channelview, TX
“Mold in the bathtub floor mat, dirty rooms, smelled bad, cheap bed, sheets and pillows for a 4 star hotel. Called the manager about the mold and promised to have it cleaned up next day. It never was done; I had to call again. Service was below par, just a very average hotel for being a 4 star.” Jan 28, 2005 by
Steven from Grand Rapids, MI
“Spacious, convenient to City and Peninsula, koi in pond” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jan 8, 2005 by

“The room we received had a severe problem with black mold. We were concerned about staying in the room.”
