• We were given a deluxe room with full length windows and an amazing view.

“This hotel is very convenient to many venues and public transportation. The hotel was very clean and the bed and bedding was great. We had a corner room in the building with full length windows looking out to the city. The staff were very helpful and friendly, i will recommend this hotel to friends.”

• Lobby, location.

“Sure enough, the first room they put me in was exactly that. In this room the elevator is loud enough to disturb sleep. I requested a room change, and after being told there were no other rooms available, they "found a room" on a different floor away from the elevators. It was a fair room but very awkward floor plan. The people at the front desk seemed generally disinterested in whether or not I was satisfied.”

• The bedding.
• The alarm going off at 7:10 in the AM.

“Upon arrival, when we stated that we would not be using the hotel parking we got a cold response from the valet, once inside we went to the reception area and got in line only to be told that they were too busy and we would have to wait. And why at any price does the Hotel not offer free internet, you can walk across the street to Starbucks and get free service.”

• the bar was unavailable until 11:00 a.m. unless you ordered through room service.the concierge was impolite all three times I needed them

• Clean.
• $14 for internet for each computer; $48 parking.

“This Westin charged $14 for each laptop to get internet. Also, the honor bar/fridge was not cold at all, making it easy to pass on the overpriced beer contained in it. I will skip this place next time.”

• Great location, comfortable beds, helpful staff.
• Poorly lit bathroom, no easy chair or couch in room.

“The Westin is a large, modern, upscale hotel with excellent public places and 4 star-level amenities. Without exception, the staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were relatively large and the beds were comfortable. Room lighting was inadequate, particularly the bathroom, and there was no easy chair or couch in the room.”

• Excellent central location convenient to public transportation.
• No continental breakfast was offered.

“Excellent hotel for the money. Rooms were clean and spacious with all the amenities expected of a luxury hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. The views especially from the upper floors are amazing and capture almost the entire city and surrounding areas. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and recommend it to family and friends.”

“On arrival, the check in desk staff was very welcoming. Our room was beautiful and the view from the enormous window was surprising. We could see all the way to the bay and into China town. The central location was convenient and the neighborhood great! We'd definitely stay there again.”

• Subdued elegance - that's what I like about The Westin!
• The parking fees are horrific!

“Knowing the standards of the Westin group of hotels, I half expected the level of service and quality I experienced during our weekend getaway in San Francisco. The staff was courteous and helpful, and the room was spartan and clean. I expected comfort and simple elegance and I got it. If not for the high costs of parking in the area, the experience would have been otherwise seamless and perfect!”

• Genuinely friendly staff from doorman to housekeeping. So nice to our dogs. Room was by elevator, noisy for dogs. They changed room with no problem.
• Parking was very expensive. But it's a big city, what can you do.

“The most friendly hotel I have ever stayed at. All the staff was amazing. Very dog friendly and you would never know it from the look of the rooms. Great location. Best hotel for price and location.”

• No fan in bathroom that we could find.

• The price for parking for one night was ridiculous.

“The staff was friendly and nice. The hotel was clean. The prices for things were outrageous. We stayed one night and had to pay $58 for parking in addition to the costs of our room.”

• Nothing it was a horrible experience.
• Parking-charging $70 per night.

“A horrible experience to say the least. Offers no other option for parking when hotel parking across the street was $20 per night. I then complain to the front desk and state I won't stay at this Westin again and the front desk states that it my perogative! The room was dusty and it sounded like a train was going through our room every 5 minutes due to elevator noise. Luckily I bring earplugs. In addition, their refrigerator charges each time you move something through sensors. The first day I had $38 charge minibar which got cleared and then last day $98 which also got cleared. This all occurred because we took the minibar items out and put fruit in the refrigerator, mention this too! Too much hassle.”

• The pillows.
• The concierge was completely useless, the room was less than adequate for a 4 star hotel.

“I have stayed at the hotel often, and generally like them. Stains on the comforter, view of pipes, not meeting up to a 4 star hotel. Very disappointed. I am sure this is not always the case, but this was the case for my first experience. I would not recommend this to friends or to colleagues.”

• Outrageous on-site parking fee, my car may as well have its own room!

“Comfortable, modern hotel in a great location with amenities most people will never use. The room was very small--crowded with a crib. The parking fee is outrageous, though parking attendants were friendly and quick. So is charging guests $15 per day for internet--which you can get for no charge at much less expensive hotels.”

“I liked the hotel in general, but I feel the rooms are really very small. We were there for our sons wedding, and they were wonderful to them I would stay again, but keep in mind the small room sizes.”

• The hostess in the restaurant on Sunday morning was not friendly and rude.

“The Westin Market Street hotel was a very nice hotel with friendly staff, very clean and up to date furnishings. Exactly the type of hotel we were hoping it would be to spend our 10th anniversary celebration vacation at. Excellent concierge and bellman service and check in couldn't have gone smoother. “Hotel was nice. They will assign you one of the rooms at the end of the halls. These rooms are significantly smaller than their normal rooms and not nearly as comfortable for more than 1 guest.”

• The hotel was very clean & the finishes was beyond what I expected.
• The room I was assigned was fine for my needs but a tad on the small side for a king bed room.

“The hotel met my expectations, the service that was provided efficient and friendly. Common areas and room was very clean so no complaints there. Only issue was the size of the room and bathroom. Overall I would recommend the Westin Market Street since it meet my needs for the purpose and I spent minimal time in the room other than sleeping.”
