• Very friendly staff, nice location and very clean room. The HDTV was a plus!
• Lack of refrigerator but it was no big deal.

“I really enjoyed my stay at the Omni. The staff was very friendly from the moment I parked my car. The room was very nice and accomodating. No noise and a very comfortable stay. The only downside I would have to say is that valet parking is pretty much mandatory ($30 a day) but other than that, this was easily one of the nicest hotels I've ever been to.”

• Staff was outstanding.
• Bob´s was bad for breakfast. Slow, not good, expensive.

“The Omni was terrific. The staff was the best ever. Really made our family feel welcome. Nice touches included morning juice, tea and newspapers at the room - afternoon apples and citrus water in the lobby.”

• I enjoyed the location and the room was larger than expected.
• The lobby wasn't impressive and the people that worked there were a bit snobby.

“The Omni does itself justice. The rooms are large and the staff won't bother you if you put up the "do not disturb" sign. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly.”

• Safe area, quiet, comfortable atmosphere, and friendly staff.
• A bit far from Bart station and downtown.

• Treated me like royalty.
• Had a hard time finding it at first while driving in SF.

“I love this hotel! From the moment we walked in the service was impeccable. The door man was helpful in telling us a lower cost option for parking. The kids were greeted with gifts as was I. Everyone was friendly and genuinely seemed to like working at the Omni. We were even treated (with tips of course) to the hotel towne car with driver when we needed to get to a wedding. Finally, anytime we asked for suggestions for dinner, directions, sightseeing options - they were more than helpful. They seem to bend over backwards to assist their guests.”

• The staff was amazing. Perfect service. Personable and great at what they do.
• Valet parking only. $55/day. You've got to be kidding me?

“We stayed at the Omni over 4th of July weekend and had a ball. The room was nice- good decor, high ceilings, flat screen TV. The bathroom had a large shower and vanity area. The staff was fabulous. Pleasant, informative, and personable. We celebrated my fiancées 30th and they surprised us with a cake in our room one night when we returned. Location is good for catching transportation to the piers for cheap. Hotel bar/restaurant was beautiful and delicious. Lobby is breathtaking. Only con was the super expensive valet only parking ($55/day). Also, I would have preferred a room with a view.”

• Front desk - very helpful.
• Late night return- waited for valet. Had to go out and hunt one down. Female single traveler, not safe.

“The hotel is in a great location. Once here you can go on foot, cab, or trolley. Don't bring your car if you can. Dined in room. Food was excellent, but pricey (as expected). Offer tours that I did not have time for but thought great.”

• The front desk staff was always friendly and attentive!
• I can't think of anything.

“I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the San Francisco Omni Hotel. Each morning the coffee room service was a nice touch for travelers with the Omni Select Guest card. The staff was very friendly and personalized their contact by using my name. One evening they make recommendations for a restaurant, called for a dinner reservations and arranged for a cab. The choice was delightful. The only negative thing was my being out of physical shape to climb the hills nearby!”

• Beautiful, clean and friendly staff.
• I was on the fourth floor front side. There was noise from the cable cars and whistles for cabs. Guests were loud in the hall during the nights.

“The hotel was wonderful, and I would stay there again for sure. I would request a room on a higher floor because of the street noise.”

• The staff was the friendliest, most helpful of any hotel I have ever stayed in.
• Street noise on our floor (7) was pretty loud.

“What a great hotel! The staff was the friendliest most helpful of anywhere I have ever stayed. The lobby was beautiful, the rooms were not huge, but they were very nice and very clean. The walls were well insulated, we never heard anyone in the adjacent rooms. I would not only stay there again, I would request this hotel and recommend it to others in a heartbeat.”

“We have stayed in hotels like the Stanford Court Hotel just up the street (Knob Hill) and this was just as good of an experience if not better. We would love to go back and stay at the Omni. I would highly recommend it to anyone.”

“The location of the hotel was perfect with the cable car directly outside the front door. When we checked in, the counter person asked the reason for our trip. When I told him that it was my wife's birthday, he immediately produced a rose for my wife.”

“Great hotel in SF. You can walk anywhere or take the cable car, which stops in the front of the hotel. Hotel staff was always friendly and gave us great recommendations for dinner. The only thing the hotel was missing was a hot tub after those walks up the SF hills.”

• The hotel was very stately and well kept the staff was helpful and friendly.
• The parking was $45 a night plus an additional $6 SF tax. There was no warning of this abusive charge.

“This hotel was everything you'd expect in a 4 star hotel. It is reminiscent of a bygone era when hotels had a stately charm and quiet dignity. We started off on a sour note with the outrageous parking fee and being booked in a room that was already occupied but the rest of our stay was great.”

• The lobby employees, including bellman were superb.
• The restaurant was too expensive.

“The hotel was beautiful. The employees were very helpful. The room was great. For a leisure traveler, I would suggest staying in another part of town. This is a great place for business travelers.”

• No 2 bed, non-smoking rooms available during my stay. Select Guest Program membership not noted on my stay even though I called ahead.

“Pros: Beautiful lobby. Staff was friendly. They didn't seem overcrowded or noisy even though it was "fully committed". Close to BART station. Free wireless internet. Cons: Elevators were slow. There weren't enough pillows for a king size bed and the pillows were not firm. There was no way to close off the mini bar part of the TV. console and watch TV. at the same time.”

• Asked for a double bed ahead of time but still ended up with a king, though staff was quick to get us a rollaway bed at no additional cost.

“We have stayed here before and love the free sour balls in the lobby before heading out for the day! We also had a great drink in the bar.”

• Expensive restaurant- $20 for ham and egg breakfast?

“Stayed her before, seemed a little nicer this time. Each time we have to beg for a room with two beds- front desk reminds us of how we got the reservation, and although generally accommodating, act like it is kind of a chore. No extra charge here though like there was at the over-rated Benson Hotel in Portland, Oregon. ($20 a day for a second bed).”

• This was a wonderful place to stay during our visit.
• There was nothing we didn't like!

“My sister, daughter and I went to San Francisco for the first time! This hotel was fantastic! The staff was extremely friendly and efficient, our room was beautiful and the location was great. It was within walking distance of many parts of the city. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.”

“This has got to be one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. The staff - all staffs were super friendly, helpful, and pleasant at all times. Hotel was spotless, bed comfy, good location, and they even surprised me with birthday treats. Incredible stay!”
