- Fabulous location.
- Location of hotel subjected us to street noise.
“The Marriott is great. It is downtown and accessible to everything, but the bells at St. Patricks ring 16 times at 7:30 a.m. every morning followed by police/fire sirens. Not the hotel's fault. I was disappointed with the size and configuration of the room. Otherwise good value for my money.”

- The room, location and the environment of the lobby.
“I enjoyed the upscale room after a very busy day. The mattress was excellent, and the room decor was well done. The room was also very clean. The location was excellent, next to the BART, the shopping district, the cable car turnaround, and there are many fine restaurants.”

- We were on 10 th floor. The windows were so filthy that we could not see out.
“The hotel was not a 4 star hotel. Mini bar was a joke. Lighting in the room was poor. Bathrooms had no towel hooks, or bathrobes.”

“My stay at the Marriott was not good. I booked a room for 4. I asked about the breakfast plan. The adviser said we can add the breakfast plan to our room which we did. When we arrived we were told that the breakfast plan only included breakfast for 2. They made us pay for 2 more people when we arrived, how terrible. I told them we added it to our room when we booked. The Marriott is awful to do that to people. I will never recommend a Marriott or stay at one again.”

- Huge room, right near SF shopping center, close to public trans.
- Restaurant very pricey, Starbucks more expensive because it's in lobby.
“Great location, in the heart of the shopping area of SF. Lots of hustle bustle in lobby. Convenient Starbucks in lobby but prices are about 60% higher for the convenience, not worth it because there is one on the corner. Great views from our room after a $20 upgrade per night. We were on the 31st floor, if we didn't upgrade we would have been on floor 4-8.”

- Hot tub was not working, valet parking does not have enough staff on Sunday am.

- Nice hotel, clean and nice room.
- Very loud all night long and the staff was not able to help.
“The hotel is clean and very nice rooms. But they put me on the "party" floor, with lots of underage kids drinking and partying in the hallway. Many guests complained about the noise, but the hotel staff was not able to do anything about it. So, instead of getting good nights sleep to get refreshed for the next day, I was exhausted. The noise levels ruined my trip, and the hotel staff could not solve the problem or give me another room.”

- The employee that helped me check in was very kind, friendly, and helpful!
- I asked an employee on the 4th floor where the pool was located and she very rudely replied that the pool was closed, even though it was not yet 11pm.
“We didn't spend too much time in the lobby or general area aside from the pool. Part of the pool area was under construction which was a bit disappointing. But apart from the rude employee on the 4th floor, all the other staff members we encountered were friendly and helpful.”

- The price of room service was astronomical compared to the proportions you got.
“My fiance and I have stayed here twice in the last year and we will never stay anywhere else. The staff is amazing and so helpful. This time we had our 2 month old with us and the set us up with a fridge and microwave for his bottles at no extra cost to us. Any time we had a question about how to get somewhere or where to find something, the staff was so helpful. Our stay was perfect and the room was great and even when my son spit up on half the pillows they came up and gave us new ones right away.”

“Overall the hotel was great. Location was terrific. The parking staff was excellent (which was important, given that it costs $50 a day to park in the garage) as was the desk staff. The room turned out to be much smaller than I'd expected, given the rating of the hotel. The bed was incredibly comfortable, however, so that made up for the small room. We were unable to use their in-room check out service, which was a bit of a drag. It just wasn't working, so we had to check out downstairs.”

- Lobby undersized compared to total number of rooms of hotel.

Excellent location - cable car platforms, market street, Westfield shopping center, Union Square, SFMOMA all within short walking distance. Fisherman's Wharf, Castro and Ferry Building all directly accessible via Tram Line F (stop is only 1 min walk from hotel).”

- Guest Laundry. Only one for all those rooms, not enough.
“It was nice staying here. I felt safe and not worried at all about staying there. The elevator was a little scary and super slow. There was only one washer and dryer for guest laundry which was not enough for that size of a hotel. The shuttle was very convenient and came at reasonable times. It was not the safest vehicle I have ever been in but it worked for a quick ride to the airport. The hotel staff was super friendly and very helpful.”

- Carpet in room seemed a little old, but no complaint really.

- The amenities were excellent. especially the fitness & pool areas. The HD TV was nice. The overall hotel environment was lively and urban.

- The beds were outrageously comfortable.
- The front desk staff is horribly rude.
“The hotel lobby was very nice and they were able to grant our early check in. The large problem with this hotel was the front desk staff. The one individual we checked in with ruined our entire stay based on his attitude. The room had no view. But the bathroom, though it had been cleaned, had someone else's hair all over the floor. Very happy we were only there one night.”

- Loved the staff and the size of the pool and hot tub (great hours and thought the staff fantastic).
- Providing a screen to be placed between the queen beds would be great when traveling with children so adults could watch TV after bedtime.

- The power and water pump were going out in the entire hotel for 4 hours!

- Good location, beautiful hotels - outstand view from the 39th floor.
- Parking fee - too high $52.00 daily.

- The Marriot is very conveniently located to many attractions in SF-MOMA, Union Square, great restaurants.
- Though very clean, the hotel bathrooms seem a bit tired and could use updating. And the air conditioning, though extremely quiet, could be better.
“The Marriot is a great choice for exploring San Francisco. It is a block from MOMA and other museums, close enough to Union Square without all the traffic confusion, and convenient to trolley cars and buses to go Ghirardelli Square and Pier 39. It is only a short walk to the great restaurants at the Ferry Building. All in all a great find, spotlessly clean --though with bathrooms that could use a bit of updating and an air conditioning system that circulated the air better (though it was extremely quiet).”
