“The location is great. 2 or 3 blocks from the wharf and 5 blocks from Little Italy. The hotel was very clean and the staff was helpful in every way. This is not your typical Best Western, it is definitely upscale and more luxurious. Well worth the stay.”

• Location in fisherman's wharf.
• They charge $48 per day for parking, not included in price of room!

“This hotel is a Best Western. Good location, but no breakfast included and they ONLY have valet parking for
$48 per day. Your car is held hostage, and you must tip valet every time you need to get something from your car. A big inconvenience.”

• The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. The common area was well-appointed. The bed was very comfortable.
• The only concern was paying $42 for parking. However, I can understand this with the location being what it is.

“I highly recommend this hotel. Everything about was nice--the staff, the decor, the rooms, the location. I would definitely stay there again.”

• Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly! Room small but comfy and clean!

“We were travelling to UCSF for our daughters medical care. We were hit on the freeway and in a vehicle accident on the way to hotel. We were originally only going to stay for one night but after the front desk manager heard about the accident, they offered us a great deal so we could stay another night to rest and even moved us to a room with two queens so our 10 year old wouldn't have to sleep another night on a roll away because she was still stiff from the accident. Helped us find a notary to start paperwork for accident. So HELPFUL and accommodating! We have many trips to take to UCSF and will definitely come back to this hotel!”

• Room decor was tastefully done up, the room was clean and this contributed much to our comfortable stay there.
• The staff was not helpful, and there needs to be consistency in conveying the availability of room types.

“I'd strongly recommend Tuscan Inn to friends who are looking for a comfortable stay. The room was virtually spotless and the tasteful decor contributed much to its cozy ambiance..”

  get-together between 5-6 pm.

“This was a very nice hotel, well situated near the Fishermans Wharf in San Francisco. I especially like the daily free wine tasting from 5 to 6 pm. Not only did I appreciate the wine, but was a good way to meet other guests in the cozy lobby in front of the fire place. I'll recommend this romantic hotel to any of my friends traveling to San Francisco.

“Conveniently located in the San Francisco FW area, this hotel has a quaint and friendly lobby with a large meeting area adjacent to the front desk. A large fireplace welcomed chilled travelers, as well as complimentary coffee and tea. Room was small but fully functional and well-appointed. Very comfy bed with nice linens, and a large bathroom. Friendly and helpful staff went out of their way to assist us.”

• Great location - convenient to the Wharf.
• Staff.

“Front desk was helpful on initial check in, but further questions were met with annoyance. We had 4 people and 4 towels; it was a huge problem to get two additional towels from maids working on the floor. Wake up call never came through; make sure you set the room alarm clock or your cell phone alarm so you don't miss your flight. Room was loud, busy trucks from 2-5AM, not the hotel's fault but beware!”

• Great accommodations. Within walking distance of Fisherman's Wharf.

“This hotel was wonderful. We will definitely stay there when we are in San Francisco again. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, courteous and helpful. The room was bright and cheery. The bed linens were soft and plush. It is very short walk to Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39, Ghirardelli Square, etc. We loved it!”

• The level of floors were perfect it wasn't too big nor too small for our purpose.
• Initially we thought that the staff was rude.

“This hotel was in the ideal location for a visit to San Francisco as we were able to walk to locations of interest, which is great as the city is so busy and the traffic is terrible. The hotel was very clean and cozy. It would not be a place of interest for a family stay. The rate for parking is a bit out there ($38).”

• Great location, very pleasant staff.

“Great atmosphere. The lack of anything for a quick breakfast except coffee, hot water for tea and some not-too-edible biscuits fell far below our expectations. We understand that the hotel has a restaurant but not everyone wants to pay $12 for a bowl of fruit and pancakes.”

• The location was perfect for visiting Fisherman's Wharf and the wine tasting was great.

“The hotel was extremely clean and the rooms were updated and very nice. As far a location, it couldn't have worked out better. Walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf, Chinatown and all of the restaurants, bars, etc. The Manager had an hour long wine tasting every night which was a perfect way to kick off the night.
”

• Clean, convenient, modernized, efficient and easy to recommend.

“This hotel is in close (2 to 3 short blocks) walking distance to Fisherman's Warf, major transportation, restaurants and attractions. There is a major drug store and supermarket close by. It is clean, simple and neat, has been modernized and is in good repair. If you are touring the area I recommend it. We are travelers that prefer the previous, and are not interested in large suites. I would go back again without hesitation. Check out the parking situation if you are driving.”

• They upgraded us from a double bed room to a king room. Room was nice and roomy.
• We were on a noisy busy street. $38 for parking a day was extremely disheartening.

• Enjoyed the proximity to the Piers and the activity of Fisherman's Wharf.
• Be prepared to pay for valet parking $38 a night. Parking is a premium in San Francisco. Bring a small vehicle if you own one.

“Classy hotel with good proximity to the attractions. Staff was polite, and smart. Everyone I encountered was impressive. Great food. Rooms are small, however, very well appointed. Slept fantastically. Great stay.”

“In addition to the warm decor, cleanliness and friendly staff, the added complimentary facilities provided by the hotel created a friendly, social atmosphere for the guests -- coffee in the lobby every morning and wine in the lobby every evening. The free use of the internet allow the guests to check in and print the boarding passes if they choose to do it. The 30 minutes complimentary local calling made it convenient for the guests with the short stay.”

• No pool or fitness facilities.

“Great location close to Fisherman's Wharf. Friendly and helpful staff. There isn't a pool or fitness room and parking is $38 per day plus tax bring it to about $45. Breakfast is only coffee and biscotti, but there is a wine hour from 5-6 in the lobby.”

• Next to stairwell! Heard all the noise of guests climbing stairs.

“Hotel was very clean and comfortable and busy! Room was comfortable and clean. Only exception was location next to stairwell. Was Quite loud hearing other guests going up and down stairs.”

• Bed/pillows are very comfortable, spacious room/bathroom, friendly staff, great location.
• I loved everything about this hotel.

“I travel a lot and this hotel are far best than any other 5 star hotel I stayed. The beds and pillow are very comfortable. Clean and spacious room and bedroom, great location very close to fisherman's wharf, close to grocery store and shops. Staff is very professional. I would definitely recommend this hotel.”

• Our room was right beside a house and they made excessive noise in the morning.

“This hotel was wonderful from the front clerks to the managers wine welcoming. Had to request blankets at late hour, and got no attitude from anybody involved. The short 5 minute walk to fisherman's wharf was terrific.”

• Great location, very nice -new room, friendly helpful staff, warm comfortable lobby that offered a wine hour, adjoining restaurant.
• Cars jammed the covered entrance-cab drop off and pick up had to be on the street.

“Great location. Upon arrival, the rooms were both king, I called hotel 2 months prior for two doubles, was told that the request was approved. Moreover the rooms are supposed to be non-smoking, was assured of same when calling hotel, my son has asthma, the other room was obviously previously occupied by a heavy smoker! Front desk could not change room. Overall a pretty decent place in a great location if you want the wharf area. Will try the Hyatt or other next time. Price was fantastic.”

• We wanted to get another night with the hotel, and our airline reservations had been changed. But the hotel could not give us another room. We ended.
