• Exceptional friendly staff, Comfortable beds, great location. Very quiet, couldn't hear neighbors.
• I missed the small refrigerator in our room. With a small refrig, it's 10 in all categories!

• Great location, good view, Hyatt name, comfy bed.
• Poor room amenities and ambiance.

“Enjoyed the location and the comfortable beds. The staff and service was good as well. The remodeled bath was also nice, room decor a bit sterile, just kind of cold. One of the windows wouldn't open and the room smelled like someone had smoked in it, so took a few hours to air out. I would probably return the next time I stay in that area.”

• The hospitality staff at the check in desk were beautifully groomed and attentive as was the bell captain.
• I might think about polishing the marble on the bathroom sinks.

“We were delighted. The hotel staff could not have been warmer or more helpful. It is decorated in a modern theme and all details were true to that theme. The toiletries were above grade.”

• The room was spacious and very clean. Very nice beds and linens.
• There was no place for suitcases except the floor and I did not see it necessary to unpack for two nights.

“The location was excellent as we were able to walk to the pier area and shopping with no trouble. Did feel the parking charges were excessive. The hotel and staff were friendly and accommodating.”

“If you are looking for a nice hotel near Fisherman's Wharf this is a great spot. Comfortable rooms, friendly staff, overall a 4 star for sure. The only downside to the Hyatt is overnight parking is 50.00 and we didn't find this out until checking out. Street parking is time sensitive so it really is the only option.”

• Nice hotel and convenient to Fisherman's Wharf. It's clean and 2 streets over from where everything is happening on the pier.
• Rooms are a bit small with no view.

“Great hotel and convenient to everything in San Francisco. 2 streets over from pier so you can walk to everything. About 2 to 3 mile drive from golden gate bridge. Very close. You can hop a trolley to union square etc. It is in the heart of everything and it is a clean new updated hotel. Room is smaller than usual but this is san Francisco, your not there to stay in your room.”

• Staff was amazingly friendly and the room was very well decorated.
• Not really anything, maybe no continental breakfast.

“We stayed at this hotel for only one night and wish we had stayed there longer. It was a great hotel in a very convenient area to Fisherman's Wharf, trolley lines, Ghirardelli Square, etc. We loved the decor in this hotel and the beds were so very soft and comfortable. The staff was so friendly, from the manager to the housekeeping staff. We would love to stay here again, especially for the price.”

• I thought the bedding was outstanding (bed also).
• Parking outrageous for guests.

“The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location at Fisherman's Wharf is right next to the cable car line. We did think the overnight parking for $40 was very high for a guest! We did love the room, with sitting area etc.”

• Totally remodeled, French sheets, plasma TV, ginger soap, cool sink and granite bath, good restaurant.
• Parking was $39 per day; sports bar restaurant was a tad noisy but fun.

“The Hyatt at Fisherman's Wharf has been so totally remodeled and brought into the 21 century that it has the ambiance, niceties and panache of a boutique hotel in the Kimpton chain. From the unique above counter sink basin, granite counters, French sheets and bedding, ultra modern furnishing, and plasma TV, to the clock/ipod docking station with speakers it was first cabin all the way. The staff was always friendly and helpful. I was traveling with a rambunctious 6 year old that had her every whim and need accommodated. The childrens menu at the restaurant was perfect. She loved the soap and they gave her 5 bars to take home.”

• The business center was sub-par.

“I stayed here for 5 days and enjoyed every minute of my stay. I was most impressed with the well-informed, polite staff who didn't hesitate when I asked them for something (which happened all the time!). The contemporary lobby was impressive and had a fresh, clean atmosphere. My first stay at a Hyatt and it won't be my last.”

“This very good hotel. Would have like to have had a closer view of the water. The restaurant was very nice and friendly. Would next time like a heads up on the parking and bed size arrangement? “Perfectly located in Fisherman Wharf's, a very charming neighborhood in San Francisco. Walking distance to the Pier and Cable Car. The room is one of the most comfortable that I've ever stayed, the beds are great. The room's decoration is very cozy, it makes you feel very comfortable and willing to stay in the hotel. Room service is great. Staff is very courteous and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel to anybody.”

• Wi-Fi not free, at this day and age unacceptable.

“Hotel was great. Located at Fishermans Wharf, clean, contemporary decorum, polite hotel staff. My only complaint is that Wi-Fi is $10/day. At this point most hotels have free WIFI. With this hotel being a Hyatt I expected more with that.”

• It was close to the place where I needed to attend.
• Parking. I believe they charge too much for parking.

“Everything about this hotel was great. Close to Shops, near by attractions, and restaurants. The only thing I didn't like was the parking rate charge, $39 dollars seems to high. Hotel parking I have paid in the past range from 12- 18 dollars.”

• Cool modern remodeling including flat screen TV, great location.

“The Hyatt at the Fisherman's Wharf is a great place to stay. The staff from the valet and bell hop to the check in and concierge were attentive and friendly. My wife and I spent one night here over Thanksgiving weekend and my only complaint is we were given a room with two double beds instead of a king. When I called about a room change I was told all the king rooms were booked. The beds however were very comfortable and the recently remodeled room was very Zen along with a new LCD TV.”

• Our room was at the very end of the outermost hall adjacent to an outside door.

“Parking rates and taxes are outrageous. ($320 for 8 nights just to put a car in their overcrowded, underground garage.) Staff was friendly. The last night of our stay, I detected and reported a strong gas-type smell. Promptly, a maintenance supervisor showed up and told us it was from a dryer that was vented near our room. The odor was very strong at times, but would dissipate before returning. The hotel did offer to move us to another room, and had it been earlier in the stay, we would have made the move.”

“I have stayed there at least 3 other times. This time the room was on the pool level, meant no privacy at all, and could not have the drapery open. Window opened to pool deck, could have stepped over sill onto deck area, and window would not latch or lock. So anyone in pool area could enter our room through the window. Also service in restaurant was so poor we got up and left without ordering. They were not busy, just indifferent.”

“The bed was divine, the in-room coffee was very good. All staff was knowledgeable and helpful. We really appreciated the overnight valet parking, very worth the price! Didn't care for the TV services, local channels were very hard to watch on the HDTV. The wait staff at the sports bar downstairs were rather dismissive and inattentive. Overall it was a very good time. I recommend bringing your own snacks if you have kids traveling with you.”

• Amenities were not left each morning and I had to ask for shampoos, soap, etc.

• The beds and pillows were very comfortable.
• The showers fell from ceiling and we were on same floor as pool.

“Unless you wash your hair every time you shower, the shower (no bath) was poorly designed. 3rd floor interior rooms all face pool and wall of windows, and pool noise. Should give these rooms to families and they're the ones who use the pool. Then there is the matter of paying $39 a night to park our car in a hotel we are already paying to stay in. Take away these negative elements, and the hotel itself is great.”
