• The situation of the hotel was perfect for sightseeing.
• I liked everything about the hotel.

“The hotel was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was perfect even though it did not have a view. And I love having a coffee pot in the room. I enjoyed my stay tremendously and would recommend this hotel and Priceline to all my friends.”

“We ( my fiance and I) drove up from Los Angeles and stayed 3 nights at the Wharf Hyatt. This was a wine tasting trip for us. The Hyatt's Restaurant and Bar Knuckles was fantastic. Try the Blue Moon Belgium Beer. The Fried Salmon was not very good in my opinion, but the meals the others had were all amazing. All in all the hotel was nice, but the Holiday Inn Express across the street offered free breakfast, free wireless internet, and overall more for the money, but not quite the class. My biggest gripe was the parking fees. Not only do they charge $45 per 24 hours for guests, they add a 14% tax on top of that ($6.50 per day) so three days cost me $153 and change to park my car. I guess the pool was heated and they also had a Jacuzzi that we did not use, but we looked at the gym which was small but good, and free to guests.”

• Beautiful hotel in great location.

“The Hyatt is beautiful (fabulous renovation) and chic and wonderfully located in the heart of fisherman's wharf with the famous trolley just across the street. It is now my new favorite place to stay. Hot fudge sundaes, cost plus, sourdough bread! It's all there a few short blocks away!”

• Economical, convenient location, and family friendly.
• The staffs were not always very friendly.

“We would recommend this hotel for people with family (or not) looking to stay near the wharf. It was clean, convenient, and had a heated pool. Parking is expensive so don't bring a car. The hotel is on a street that is convenient to the bus lines and the cable cars.”

• Had a problem. Staff was excellent in resolving it beyond satisfaction.
• Hotel employees picketing on strike out front.

“Hotel was great. Very nice. Pool is only 3.5ft deep and hot tub is inadequate. Staff was incredible. Management was accommodating with a very high level of customer service.”

• The staff was able to give us wonderful suggestions for dinning and shopping.
• It was a bummer that the four day we were there the pool was out of service.

“This hotel was very modern and clean. The staff was wonderful. The cleaning staff did a great job and the desk people were helpful, and very knowledgeable. The 24 hour fitness center was great, and following a workout with a soak in the hot tub was a great way to get ready for a fun day in the city.”

• The room and bathroom were very nicely appointed and clean.
• Lack of safety, 24 hour parking besides the Hotels Valet Parking.

“If you want to be in the Heart of Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco, then this Hyatt is for you! I couldn't have asked for a better / safer location near Fisherman's Wharf! Awesome shower that comes out of the ceiling. This was a romantic getaway for me and everything that the Hyatt offered.”

• Location.
• Couldn't get any hotel staff on the phone, no free wi-fi.

“Could not get the front desk, or any hotel staff from my room. also the house keeping was spotty. Bottled water for $5.00, no free wi-fi in the lobby or $45.00 a day for parking, not to mention $3.00 service charge plus 20% tip on room service was irritating. Not impressed.”

• The only down side was the pool was not in the sun.

• The air conditioning in our room did not function properly.

• I found the color of the walls a little drab-grey!

• Front desk staff was very nice.
• There was a WiFi charge, even at most 2 star hotels it is included.

• Children & teenagers lounging around in the fitness room unsupervised while other guests were trying to workout.

• Parking is expensive, but it's the same everywhere in SF.

“This hotel is situated right at the beginning of Fisherman's Wharf, close to a lot of great spots. The rooms are modern and probably newly renovated. Beds are clean and so comfortable. People at front desk are kind, fast and helpful.”

• The restaurant knuckles in the lobby was fun.
• Having to pay to park in hotel parking lot. 0.40 bucks a day.

“They also did not tell us there was a prom there on Fri. evening. Needless to say the lobby was full of kids for many hours with lots of foul language.”

• I missed the small refrigerator in our room. With a small refrig, it's 10 in all categories!

• Great location, good view, Hyatt name, comfy bed.
• Poor room amenities and ambiance.

“Enjoyed the location and the comfortable beds. The staff and service was good as well. The remodeled bath was also nice, room decor a bit sterile, just kind of cold. One of the windows wouldn't open and the room smelled like someone had smoked in it, so took a few hours to air out. I would probably return the next time I stay in that area.”

• The hospitality staff at the check in desk were beautifully groomed and attentive as was the bell captain.
• I might think about polishing the marble on the bathroom sinks.

“We were delighted. The hotel staff could not have been warmer or more helpful. It is decorated in a modern theme and all details were true to that theme. The toiletries were above grade.”

• The room was spacious and very clean. Very nice beds and linens.
• There was no place for suitcases except the floor and I did not see it necessary to unpack for two nights.

“The location was excellent as we were able to walk to the pier area and shopping with no trouble. Did feel the parking charges were excessive. The hotel and staff were friendly and accommodating.”

“If you are looking for a nice hotel near Fisherman's Wharf this is a great spot. Comfortable rooms, friendly staff, overall a 4 star for sure. The only downside to the Hyatt is overnight parking is 50.00 and we didn't find this out until checking out. Street parking is time sensitive so it really is the only option.”

• Nice hotel and convenient to Fisherman's Wharf. It's clean and 2 streets over from where everything is happening on the pier.
• Rooms are a bit small with no view.

“Great hotel and convenient to everything in San Francisco. 2 streets over from pier so you can walk to everything. About 2 to 3 mile drive from golden gate bridge. Very close. You can hop a trolley to union square etc. It is in the heart of everything and it is a clean new updated hotel. Room is smaller than usual but this is san Francisco, your not there to stay in your room.”

• Staff was amazingly friendly and the room was very well decorated.
• Not really anything, maybe no continental breakfast.

“We stayed at this hotel for only one night and wish we had stayed there longer. It was a great hotel in a very convenient area to Fisherman's Wharf, trolley lines, Ghirardelli Square, etc. We loved the decor in this hotel and the beds were so very soft and comfortable. The staff was so friendly, from the manager to the housekeeping staff. We would love to stay here again, especially for the price.”
