• The hotel was very nice and the location was awesome. We were very pleased that the venue had a swimming pool and spa.
• We were not prepared to spend $41.00 (including tax) on parking per night. It was a bit of a shock that I did not budget for.

• Nice location, close to all, hop on a trolley car to China Town or walk to Pier 39 and the beds were like heaven.
• Nothing negative comes to mind, a completely positive experience! Except the Denny's across the street was too expensive ($16. omelets)!

“My kids and I walked two blocks to the Wharf for some clam chowder, did a little shopping on the way at the many souvenir shops and then returned back to the most comfortable bed that I have ever slept in. The next morning we went to breakfast at Denny's (that was a mistake, we should have eaten at the hotel, it would have been less expensive), then hopped on an old trolley that took us to the end of the wharf and up toward China Town, what a fun trip! This was a short stay and will make it longer the next time! I highly recommend this hotel, the staff is extremely courteous and accommodating, 8 thumbs up!)”

• Comfort, convenience for tourism and availability of Internet/business facilities.
• No tea/coffee facilities in my room though I requested for those. It took 4days to provide a working coffee machine.

“As already indicated, the hotel is clean, comfy and has all modern facilities such as Internet and newspaper delivered at your doorstep every morning. I am one who enjoys a cup of tea after a long day and wished to have that available all the time/ or at least be told if I have to pay extra for such services. That aside, the place was perfect.”

• I liked the lobby as it was much more formal than others in the area and the bell staff were excellent.
• Room service staff were horrible and the hotel was run down. The smoking rooms smelled worse than a wet ashtray.

“I was rather disappointed in the Hyatt Fisherman's Wharf. It was certainly not in the keeping of the other three Hyatt Hotels in San Francisco. Although the lobby starts to give a impression that the rooms might be the Hyatt over sized and plush furnished it was like walking into a beach front family tourist motel that had tried to look expensive. I have also never experiences a smoking room that smelled as nasty as this. I have been smoking for 18 years and never anything like it. The bed was comfortable but, the room felt nasty dirty. There was not a cell signal to be had in the entire bldg, Interestingly enough, you could stand just outside my window and get a signal. Last, the location for the property is anything but a good one. For some reason they huddled all these poor excuse of hotels on top of the most faulty unstable ground in the city and sling all the cheesy tourist wax figures and battle ship tours out in one little corner away from the real world and anything a real human would want to take a gander at. It takes a million dollars and two hours to get a cab there ain't a decent dress shop or hat maker within a hundred miles. Don't get sick and need to go to the hospital. They would have to probably fly in a medivac helicopter and you just thought room service was expensive.”

• Very cool modern furnishing inside guest room and bathroom and very friendly staff.
• No room service or cafe/bar after 11-12, and no choice offered for room type (i.e. King instead of double).

“Great hotel, very centrally located near the waterfront/wharf. Rooms have very cool modern interiors, staff is very friendly. Only comment: coming in around midnight, there was no 'drink' available from the hotel at that time.”

• It has recently been remodeled and is lovely.
• The shower in the bathroom because it leaked water all over the floor and the shower head was straight down with no good angle adjustment.

“Overall, this was a great hotel and we compared the rest of our stay to this hotel and this one always came up number one. We would definitely stay there again if we were in San Francisco. Also, the location was great and very accessible to everything.”

• I did not get the room requested. Extra parking fee of $40 daily and I left a day early.

• Staff behind the counter and housekeepers were very nice and friendly.
• Filthy carpeting, chair with stains on which we wouldn't sit in, bathtub had scratches from a pet, and I killed three fleas.

“I generally stay at Marriott, Hyatt, Hilton, or Westin for the most part. I hope we just had a bad room. But, it was really bad. We had to put socks on our feet during the night for a trip to the bathroom because the carpet was filthy. A chair had so many stains we could not use it. The door to the bathroom had looked like someone used a crowbar to enter it- gouges all along the opening of the door. The bathtub had scratches all along the bottom which looked like it came from a pet. I killed three fleas. However, the bed was magnificent. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Housekeeping did a great job on redoing the room (cleanliness was beyond what they could do, I'm sure). The room just needs totally redone. It does not speak well for the Hyatt name - room 322.”

• The entire staff was so personal and friendly. We were greeted by name, and the restaurant waiter remembered what we liked from the very beginning.
• I honestly cannot say that there was anything that we did not like about the Hyatt.

“Our stay was very enjoyable. The staff helped us in finding the places we wanted to visit in San Francisco. They also used Map Quest to help us find our way around Richmond from one place to another. Everyone was so personable and helpful. They even called places to get answers for us. Being able to rent a car without going in search of an agency was also a big plus! It was truly a vacation without hassles because of the superb staff!”

• Nice location, clean rooms, nice restaurant.
• $36 per night parking fee, told us an upgrade would only be $20 and wasn't much of an upgrade.

“Great location, nice rooms. very clean. Knuckles, the restaurant and bar, in the hotel is a nice place to get a drink and dinner. Very loud though. It wasn't much of an upgrade, just a bigger TV in the room. I think all rooms are pretty much the same there.”

• It was in the middle of a remodel.

“This hotel was in the middle of a remodel, which is understandable. As a result I had to request a different room because the originally assigned room was next to a construction section, and was noisy and had a film of construction dust. The second room had two double beds rather than a king, and was a smoking room. Clean, but smoking none the less.”

• The room and beds were very comfortable.
• The customers are charged for each hotel amenity, i.e. parking $42/night, internet $7.50 minimum/time accessed!

“It is in the Fisherman's Wharf area but there are absolutely no views because it is shorter than the surrounding buildings. The staff was courteous and efficient. The only dining facility in-house was a sports bar with very uncomfortable seats and high prices. Every amenity that a business traveler would need came with an additional high price. I would not recommend this hotel to any business traveler.”

• The valets and people at the front desk were extremely nice.
• I asked for hotel lotion one night and it took forever to arrive. Had to call again to ask.

“Absolutely wonderful staff, great sports bar connected to the hotel if you like that sort of thing, perfect location to almost anywhere you want to go, I basically did not want to leave!”

• I loved the yummy down comforter! San Francisco gets so chilly! Great location, close to everything.
• Parking came out to 41 dollars per vehicle per day, which I thought was pretty steep. But parking in San Francisco is always a pain!

“The hotel is located in a prime tourist area, which was perfect for us with small children, there was plenty to do, all within walking distance. The sports bar had excellent food, I would recommend it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again, without a doubt.”

• The location is very good, it's close to everywhere.
• Parking fee is very expensive $36 per day which not including tax yet. Carpet is not clean.

“The staffs are friendly (except the valet guy who park my car), the location is good, close to everywhere. However, the parking fee is very expensive, $36 per day which not including tax yet. When I ask the valet parking guy how come it's so expensive, they told me that, if you can afford it, you can park on the side of the street. Since I really don't know that area, I spend $84 for 2 days parking.”

• The one thing we look for in a hotel is cleanliness and convenience, this hotel had both. We liked the complimentary coffee and Knuckles.
• Cost of parking and no gift shop.

• Price was great. Just before Christmas is definitely off season for tourist in San Francisco
• Parking is $36 a night at the Hyatt in Fisherman's wharf. Room was only $65.

• Location was perfect for shopping at the Wharf or at Pier 39 and we got a complimentary newspaper.
• Parking garage was full when we arrived, so we had to park 1 1/2 blocks away in a public garage.

“This is our second time staying at this hotel and we would choose to stay here again. The staff was friendly, they allowed us a late check out time of 1:30pm so we could shop in the morning, the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.”
