- Nothing.
- The staff was rude, and did absolutely nothing to make our stay better.
“We drove in my van, which was too tall for their garage, so we were immediately told by Valet parking, that we should go somewhere else, like the Holiday Inn, where we could park. I told them that I am sure the front desk should be able to sort something out, and they suggested we stay at the Holiday Inn also! If I had not already booked my room through Priceline, then I would have shifted hotels. This hotel,(dirty and noisy) the staff, everything, were the worst I have had in quite a while, and certainly did not match up to any Hilton. Pathetic!”

- Especially liked the hotel front desk staff, porters and front door staff, excellent folks.
- Not very sound proof, and the ceilings were quite thin, noisy stampers upstairs.

- Loud, first room went to was smoking.
“This hotel is loud, you can easily hear other guest conversations and activity above, next to and below you which was annoying. Street noise also present all night. Stay away.”

- The hotel was within easy walking distance for just about everything. Hotel parking rate was good, too.
- Sounds from neighbors and foot traffic in corridor distracting from the overall comfort of the room.
“We were not disappointed. The location was easy to reach from the freeway - albeit a short drive through the city, signs guided us the whole way. We walked to North Beach, Union Square, and then dinner at Scoma's on the Wharf.”

“This a is a very nice hotel in an outstanding location. Very nice rooms and attractive lobby only three blocks from the world famous Fisherman's Wharf. Safe location. Daytime Concierge was excellent in knowledge of town and restaurants directions etc. Hotel manager was very nice and fair.”

- This hotel charges for guest parking.
“This hotel is an excellent example of Hilton high quality. However, charging guests over $40.00 per day to self-park their car is not realistic. Parking for guests should be complimentary as should their continental breakfast, which they charge over $20.00 per guest for. I would suggest that guests who fly into San Francisco not rent a vehicle and take Bart to the hotel instead. Also, don't eat at the hotel, walk a block west and eat at Denny's for 1/3 the cost for the same meal.”

- The bellman knew the area very well, and directed us to a great restaurant.
- The bell service was understaffed.
“The hotel was nice enough, but it seemed like the management was cutting corners by understaffing their bell service. I unloaded all of my bags from the car before a bellman showed up to help. When we were checking out, there was only one bellman there. We waited in the lobby for 15 minutes to store our bags so we could leave for the day.”

- It was very convenient to get to the trolley and the fisherman's wharf.
- There was no refrigerator and the water to the toilet/shower wasn't working properly.
“The hotel was nice. Parking on this particular day was easy to find. The staff was courteous and helpful and checked us in a bit earlier than check in time. The water to the toilet and shower wasn't working well. The only downside to the stay was there was no mini refrigerator.”

- This hotel was immaculate, the service was excellent and it was close to where we wanted to be.
- I expected free in-room wireless from a hotel of this caliber.
“The hotel was in a great location, the lobby was a very welcoming area for tired tourists, and the staff was easily the friendliest we met in 15 days of travel. Rooms were spacious (we were traveling with 13-year old and 14-year old boys), very clean and nicely appointed.”

- Clean, comfortable beds and pillows, only 3 floors to travel, restaurant in hotel.
- Hot water did not get hot, glasses were glass, not good for children, a lot of street noise.
“The street noise and the noise from the people up stairs was too loud. Should have better windows to keep the noise out. The hot water never got hot enough in the shower and I was on the 2nd floor. I like the underneath parking, only 3 stories to travel in the elevator and a restaurant in the hotel.”

- The first room we had was extremely noisy on the street side. Not restful.

- Very quiet room, 2 block walk to everything, (shopping, cable cars, restaurants). Very convenient location! Staff was very nice!
- We were only offered the handicap room upon check-in. It was fine, but we weren't given another choice.
“The hotel was very nice. We didn't dine there, so can't comment on that. The beds were wonderful! This hotel does not have a pool, but it is very convenient to shopping, restaurants, cable cars, and the Wharf. Staff was very friendly. Free Wi-Fi in lobby only. We enjoyed our stay.”

- Dirty! Staff not accommodating, the entire Hotel smelled of cigarette smoke, rooms small and noisy.
“No mini bar and the outside noise made sleeping impossible. I have stayed at hundreds of hotels and this Hilton was the worst hotel stay of my life time and I am 44 years old. The fire alarm sounded off at 4 am on Sat. 07/05/08 and no hotel staff did a floor to floor search or knocked on our door. We dressed real fast but then thought it was a false alarm so did not leave. We noticed several guests fleeing but again-no hotel staff checked the floors or called the rooms to make sure we evacuated or gave an-all clear to go back in. What a nightmare! Hilton should be ashamed of this hotel.”

“The room we directed to was filthy and never cleaned. We moved to another room and it was ok. This is a non-smoking hotel but smoke lingered throughout the hallways.”

“The Hilton Wharf is a great hotel for travelers who want to focus on spending time doing touristy things in San Francisco including visiting Pier 39, Ghirardelli Square, the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf and Alcatraz. The hotel location was perfect and very close to the cable cars and trolley cars so all parts of the city that a tourist is likely interested to see are extremely accessible.”

- Friendly room cleaners.
- Computer was down when it was time to check in. had to wait for hours in the lobby to get checked in.
“First day experience wasn't too good. The computer was down and the staff told us to wait at the lobby for 2 hours till they get the computers fixed. The hotel then sent us an apology letter to us the next morning explaining what exactly had happened. It was after all, wasn't their fault. Instead of getting all their guests to wait at the very small lobby, they could have at least sent us a complimentary meal or some sort of compensation for the few hours we wasted down at the lobby.”
