• Beds were very comfortable & very clean and roomy bathroom.
• Towels were scratchy/old. Mushy pillows. Pay for internet access only.

• Accepted my price, I was willing to pay for a one night stay in SF, CA.
• The lack of self parking in the hotel garage (valet only) at $45.00/ night!

“I appreciated that a hotel of this reputation, would accept the bid that I put in and I certainly could have been accepted in a much less reputable, hotel, but the fact that this hotel's staff couldn't be consistent on the information given to its patrons (i.e. the valet parking was inferred to be optional, and it's not valet parking, is the only way to go at this hotel.) was very distressing.”

“I stayed there with a buddy for a two night San Fran trip, room was clean, but the overpriced internet really annoyed me. And the parking is way overpriced, even for San Fran. I'd stay somewhere else next time.”

• Very clean and modern/
• Internet access was $13.00 (or more)/day.

“Hotel is clean and modern, and quite close to a lot of interesting places. Internet can be accessed free from the lobby only to print boarding passes, but internet access from your room will cost $13/period which starts when you agree online and ends at 3:00PM, regardless of how many hours (or minutes) have lapsed.”

“Good clean hotel with excellent service. Overnight parking is $45 US/night. Exterior work currently being done on one side of building, so there's a chance there may be people working outside your window.”

• Lcation to the wharf.
• Desk personnel were not good.

“The desk personnel were very cold and unfriendly. No one on the staff smiled. That was true with the clerk at check-in as well as when we asked the clerks later in the evening for info about breakfast in the morning. Great hotel but lousy clerks.”

• Very short walk to the wharf
• Our room was set up odd and small

“The hotel was kind of small as was our room, it was a corner room and the set up was very awkward. The sink wasn't located in the actual bathroom, but next to it. There was not much room to move around the bed because of this weird setup. There's no pool and it was about 5 stories I think. I would say it was good for location but did not like the room very much.”

• most comfortable bed. friendly staff. absolutely clean .
• are you kidding??? fortunately we did not rent a car but $50 a night to park in the hotel lot? You really have to warn people about that

“we stayed at both the Sheraton and the Marriot in San Fran. Both were very close to the wharf. both were very comfortable but don't take your car. You can sleep in a parking spot in their parking lot cheeper than renting a room!!”

“Very convenient to both Fisherman's Wharf and North Beach. Knowledgeable and helpful concierges. Nice Room. July of 2009 there was construction scaffolding on the outside so we got a courtyard room which looked out at rooftop with garden boxes.”

• Really I cannot say there was anything negative about our experience.

“Great hotel with good staff and actually cheaper parking than you will find in most hotels within this area. Walking distance from just about any of the prime locations in SF. Great beds with wonderful pillow top mattresses and soft pillows.”

• Good service, good location, great price through priceline.
• Parking too expensive, restaurant too expensive.

“Hotel was clean, comfortable, noise from the street was loud but we were tired so it didn't bother us but may if someone is a light sleeper. Service was good, the housekeeper forgot the bath towels but they were brought up in minutes, hotel meet and exceeded our expectations, staff was friendly. Good job!”

• Updated rooms
• Plates and food left in hall more than 24 hours

“Parking was VERY expensive. I would park at the public garage that was next door in the future. Rooms were nice size and updated but lack of staff. Food and plates were left in the hall the entire time we were there (about 30 hours).”

• Good location, friendly and helpful staff.

“It is well located to Fisherman's Wharf, as well as the two cable car lines that run into the city. Short walk to Pier 39 and Ghirardelli Square, and a nice stroll to North Beach and Chinatown. Room was clean and quiet, and there are various good dining establishments within a 5 minute walk.”

• The staff was very friendly and accommodating, especially the service staff.

“This Marriott is in a great location, with easy walking to Fisherman's Wharf and North Beach, which are only 6 or so blocks up Columbus. The lobby was attractive and the room was very comfortable and clean. Most notable was the friendliness and professionalism of the staff, from the helpful parking attendants to the maid who provided the extra shampoos we requested. The desk clerks were welcoming and happy to provide us with maps and give us a late check out time on the day we left.”

• Very close to all attractions.
• The price of parking was horrendous $49.00.

“I will never stay here again because of the absolutely ridiculous price for parking. I do not think that I have ever heard of $50.00 to park somewhere overnight. I think that the price of parking should be told to us ahead of time.”

• It was very convenient to all the places that we wanted to go.
• The hotel charged $43 a day to park your car. I'd never had to pay to park my car at a hotel that I was staying.

• The location was easy walking distance and safe.
• The computers were frequently in use by children.

“Great location, close to Fisherman's Warf, easy walk to North end restaurants and pizza or Denny's for kids. Renting bikes to go to the Golden Gate Bridge. Easy access to the City Muni Bus, China Town, Metreon, Museums and Alcatraz tour. The only draw back was not enough time to enjoy all the sights.”

• Location and the beds were fabulous.
• The halls were dingy, not a 3 star hotel, parking was $43 for one night.

“This was not a 3 star hotel. The lobby had short ceilings and seemed cramped, they only had two elevators and it took forever, the halls were dingy, the room was no better than a nice Comfort Inn. The location is great, parking is another matter. It cost $43 to park 1 day in the hotel garage or $13 an hour. That seems crazy. For a 3 Star hotel they nickel and dime you (internet $13, room service $20+ for basic entree). If you park in the neighborhood South about 3 blocks then you wont feel taken advantage of for the parking. Staff was very nice. Allowed early check in, always a plus.”

“This place is located in the heart of the greatest part of San Francisco - North Beach and the Wharf. It is surrounded by glorious restaurants and fun tourist attractions, not to mention the view down at the waterfront. It's posh and the parking is outrageously expensive. So is the buffet breakfast, which my son got sick from.”

• $40 plus to park each night.

“Checked in (after paying $43 to park) and had bellman bring luggage to room. He unloaded all the bags, got ice and even offered to go to the liquor store for us! Room was average but clean. Beds were great. 2 blocks from the Warf. Stay away from the restaurants in the area, they stink. Ask a local where to go. Lot's of great dining but you have to know where to find it.”
