• Great location, walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf.
• Over priced Denny's in their Beach Building lobby.

• Convenient location.
• The carpet by the window was wet and even after it dried it was sticky.

“This hotel seemed fine but we've been in some Holiday Express hotels that were much nicer than this and we thought it was supposed to be a step up. The main problem was that we really were disgusted if we went barefoot on the carpet--it was all sticky. The management said we could change rooms but we had already unpacked. The single sink had a very small area for putting your washing supplies.”

• Location to sightseeing.
• Basically a basement room. Across from main hotel, no access to concierge, without crossing street.

“Felt as though I was put in 2nd rate hotel. Room had small window looking out at sidewalk with only legs of people showing while walking by. Very claustrophobic definitely not what I expected.”

• Location! Staff were friendly and very helpful. Clean.
• Parking and using the amenities i.e. pool were inconvenient when not staying in the main building.

“The hotel is nice and clean and the staff were friendly. This hotel is comprised of two buildings: the main building on Columbus Street and the second building on Jones street. I stayed in the second building and found it fine. However, a minor inconvenience was that the parking area in the second building was super small and getting a spot was very rare. Since I was traveling with small children 2 years and 8 months having to park in the underground of the main building and then having to walk over to the second building was a bit of a pain. Also, the pool is located in the main building area which again causes a bit of inconvenience if you are staying in the second building and want to use the pool.”

• Very very close and convenient to Fisherman's Wharf.
• It doesn't look and feel like a 3-star hotel!

“The main hotel lobby feels and look great. But they have me in another property across the street and I had to walk there. It is a busy street! Why couldn't they offer complimentary shuttle. I had to lug my own luggage and walk like 2 blocks to get to it! It felt a bit scary to do so at night being alone. This is kind of ridiculous. They said the other building is newer but it felt older. The restaurant at the other building where they have me at is a Denny's.”

• Clean, overall staff are friendly
  and accomodating.

“Hope not to be charge for parking. We have a small bathroom for 4 people to stay. Small room but cute as you enter. Inviting atmosphere. I had a good experience with the desk, restaurant, and the delivery staff.”

• The locaction was great and the staff was friendly.
• Charging $35 per day for parking is ridiculous.

“Overall, the hotel stay was nice. We didn't spend much time in the hotel but the location is great, the staff is friendly and understanding. The Annex building is closer to the main street, thus noisier than the main building. Try and stay off the main street and at a higher floor level.”

• Location.
• Requests were denied, put in handicap room, dirty tub.

“While the location was wonderful, the staff was unwilling to accommodate our previous request for double beds. This had already been confirmed with a precious phone call. Also being placed in a handicap accessible room was a bit strange!”

“When we checked in we were sent to a smoking room with one bed when we had made a reservation for four and requested a non-smoking room. The hotel is tired and in need of a makeover. The location however, is excellent, just one block from Fishermen's Wharf.”

• I wish there were better views from the room but really OK.

• It was right near Fishermans Wharf.
• Very congested Tourist Location.

“It was right in the heart of Fisherman's Wharf, which is a pro and a con. Parking and Dining was expensive compared to the Midwest. But San Francisco is an easy City to get around on Foot or Public Transportation. Overall it was a great experience.”

• Location. They let us check in very early.
• 2 separate buildings with only 1 reception. Had to walk to other hotel for reception.

“Nice hotel and staff mainly very friendly, however there was a limited time that the reception in the second hotel was open. They stored our luggage for the day, but when we wanted to collect it, we had to walk to the other partner hotel and try to find the bellman who was very busy, then get him to meet us back at the original hotel to unlock the storage to get our luggage. It was a timely and frustrating process.”

“The hotel room was very confortable, quiet, and clean. We stayed at the annex across the street from the main hotel. Make sure to request an inside room. The street side is pretty noisy.”

“I was very dissappointed with the service that I received from the front desk staff. I was traveling with a disabled person and they were not willing to accomdate us to a room that was close to a elevator. Also my daughter has asthma and they gave us a room that was above Denny's, they were having an outside bbq. All of the smoke was coming inside the room and they were not willing to move us. Very bad customer service. I will never recommend or stay at this hotel ever again.”

• Close to the Wharf and shopping.
• Had cigarette burns in bathroom; no view; parking spaces very small and parking was expensive.

“For a non-smoking room to have cigarette burns on the counter was contradictory; parking is expensive and spaces are very small.”

• Right by fisherman's wharf.
• 2 unconnected buildings.

“This hotel is great for a 3star hotel. The hotel is right beside fisherman's wharf, great location. Building looks a little old and the hotel actually comprised of 2 unconnected buildings; if you happen to be in the other building you would have to walk all the way there (quite far) and services (bell boy etc) take longer to get to you.”

• Representative at check-in was very friendly and welcoming.
• Lack of fridge in room. Was able to get one without charge do to special diet but it was small.

“Customer service Representative made us feel very welcome. He arranged for us to get a small refrigerator without the extra charge. Hotel charges a lot for parking but we were able to find street parking without a problem. Room decor seemed a bit dated but was comfortable enough for a good nights sleep.”

• Denny's restaurant on-site so many non-hotel guests are crowding the lobby. No microwave or fridge.

• Staff was helpful & polite. Had a staffed info desk in lobby, & internet access.
• Wish they had a hot tub & more bathroom counter space.

“Rooms & beds were very comfortable and clean. Everyone from the bellhops to cleaning staff was very helpful and accommodating. I was able to stay in the same room when I extended my stay. Although I didn't eat at the attached restaurant, I appreciated the early hours of the coffee counter and mini store/ gift shop. The staffed tourist info table in the lobby was welcoming and helpful.”

“Superb location if your goal is to be central to all of the places in the area to visit. Within walking distance of all of the Piers, Cannery, the chocolate factory, cable cars and buses. The room was nicely furnished and clean.”

• The close proximity to several SF attractions.
• Parking was too limited. We had to park across the street.

“The hotel is actually two buildings on two different blocks. The main building appears to be remodeled and has parking and a restaurant. The other building is much more dated and has extremely limited parking. We stayed in the older building, so the parking was very inconvenient for us. The rooms were very basic and the some of the remote control buttons did not work (could not checkout via the TV because of this. I did leave my IPod in my room and the housekeeping staff turned it in to lost and found and they promptly sent it back to me. I am very pleased about that.”
