“I must say I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful. The room and hotel were spotless. We didn't have any problems with noise.” Aug 24, 2008 by

“We are very happy about our stay at the Nob Hill Hotel. We loved the over decorated looks, the vintage elevator, the heavy curtains. The decor is a bit silly, but it goes with the overall ambiance. Our room was very quiet (overlooking an inner courtyard) and comfortable. Only drawback the breakfast room is rather small and gets quickly crowded and noisy. The breakfast buffet is a bit disappointing.” Feb 14, 2008 by

“Very cozy, quiet, well staffed, easy walking distance from Union Square, need a little info of possible restaurant choices nearby. Overall an excellent stay.” Feb 12, 2007 by

“Fun Victorian hotel in good so location.” Mar 29, 2006 by

“This hotel is done up in the old European style and on the surface it looks awesome. Your room will be filled with antiques each room, I'm told is very different from the next. But the rooms are small, the antiques are damaged (water stains, water warping etc), it's not shabby chic, it's just shabby. I had absolutely not one single blanket on my bed. If it wasn't for the heavy brocade bed spread I would have frozen to death, because the heater thing in the bathroom only has a 30 minutes timer on it. Parking was awful. The first 2 nights, I lucked out and found a space right in front of the hotel, but on the 3rd night I got back too late so I was driving around for like 30 mins b4 I found a spot on Bush street. Room service was a joke. It rings at the front desk and then she has to ask the on site restaurant to call you back. I ordered a ceasar salad and lasagna. For the salad, I got romain lettuce with about 8 mozzarella shavings and a small cup of Italian salad dressing. No croutons, no Caesar dressing, no parmesan cheese! And the lasagna was bland and only consisted of one layer. But worst of all, that was it, no veggies or any kind of side dishes.” 1 of 3 people found this review helpful.Feb 14, 2006 by

“I was instantly charmed by the Knob Hill Hotel because it reminded me of places that I had stayed in Europe. I was turned off by the guest in the next room who I was later informed was a permanent resident and his utter lack of respect for the other hotel guests with his loud television kept on 24 hours a day. The staff was unable to accommodate me in another room (they were "full" even though the vacancy sign was lit outside) and the front desk was unable to contact him. I tried to knock on his door to complain but he simply ignored my knocks. It is a shame that my first trip to San Francisco and my stay at a beautiful hotel was spoiled by a thoughtless local.” 0 of 1 people found this review helpful.Hotel Representatives:
