• Easy to get where we were going (highway), close to food.
• Everything could have/should have been cleaner. Attention to detail when cleaning a plus.

“Bed way to soft, but the
AC worked(it was hot). The staff was nice and helpful. Pool needs to be cleaned, cloudy water, same with the hot tub. If you are picky about cleanliness don't choose this hotel, toothpaste from previous people, sunflower seeds on carpet, stain on carpet. Seen worse, seen better.”

• The room was like a suite, and we loved the bed.
• The bathroom faucet had no water pressure.

“The hotel was clean and the room was large. It was more like a suite, with a sofa and coffee table. The room had a microwave and a large refrigerator. The area used for continental breakfast dining was very clean. The parking and Wi-Fi were free. We really enjoyed our stay.”

• Large room.
• Wi-Fi connection not good.

“The Red lion hotel for the has excellent accommodations. One negative was the poor internet connection, and I do not have a good explanation as to why. Secondly, the water pressure was next to nothing, and I am for water conservation however could have been a little better. Other than that excellent room and staff.”

• Quiet, comfortable, and kitchenette in room.
• Bed was slightly lumpy.

“Comfortable older hotel, updated bathrooms, microwaves & refrigerators in rooms, easy freeway access (but freeway noise at nights), friendly staff - I'd stay there again. Neighborhood seems safe enough.”

• Bed was comfy. Walking distance to restaurants. Flowers outside the hotel. Nice lobby.
• Noisy. Small bathroom.

“The area of town is not as nice as other Red Lions we've stayed in. It seemed less safe than others. There is a lot of noise due to closeness to airport and on a main street.”

“The room was very nice, clean and quiet, nice view of Mt. Ranier. The continental breakfast could have had more selections. My daughters and I stayed 6 days, and we quickly tired of the same things every day. Also, we were disgusted when the lady who replenished the items was seen picking her nose.”

• Everything was clean. The decor was up to date (not 70s).
• Hard to find something I didn't like.

“I am always happy with Red Lion hotels any time I stay with them and this was no exception. In room microwave, fridge, TV, coffee maker, iron, and desk. The parking lot looked safe enough and the neighborhood was near the Tacoma Mall area, so I felt safe enough.”

• Bath products were good and staff was friendly.
• Sheets were bad - bottom sheet wouldn't stay on the mattress.

“The stairs were right next to the front door and there was no secure access to the floors, which made me feel unsafe. The front desk was far enough away from them that anyone could walk in and get to the rooms without being noticed. My main complaint was that the sheets were so old that they had shrunk and the elastic didn't keep the bottom sheet on the mattress, so the mattress was exposed. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the free breakfast was good.”

• I like the room price and the workout room.
• I asked for a cork screw and they didn't have one being they gave their last one out to another customer days before I.

“Clean and friendly. I did get the wrong person's receipt when checking out and thought possibly I was charged for the wrong person's room. When I called back I was told I had just received the wrong printout.”

• Well maintained and attractive interiors.
• Bathrooms were small, housekeeping schedule did not match ours so we missed a couple days.

“Beds were very comfortable and rooms quiet. Microwave and fridge were a huge plus. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Continental breakfast ended too early. Would have liked a restaurant/lounge on premises.”

• It was clean and easy to access from the interstate.
• Hot tub was not working.

“We came back Monday evening to a room that had not been cleaned. When we checked out Tuesday morning I told the front desk staff about not getting our room cleaned and she just said sorry-they probably just forgot to. I felt she didn't care and in the future I will be taking my business elsewhere.”

• Location was handy. The room was set out in a way that was appealing. The provided complimentary breakfast was reasonable.
• The front staff was trying to be helpful but were not up to task. The seating space for breakfast was woefully inadequate.

“Overall a reasonable experience, but likely would not return. The hallway carpets need to be cleaned and more presentable. The crowding in the breakfast area was tiring. Rooms themselves were clean and presentable. Felt this was somewhat over-priced.”

• It was in a sketchy neighborhood.

“This was my first stay at a Red Lion Inn and it was very positive. I was very impressed with the helpfulness of staff. Room was clean and comfy and included a fridge and microwave, always a huge plus. Bathroom was so small it was claustrophobic, though and this particular Red Lion was located in a neighborhood that I found somewhat marginal. But overall, fine experience.”

“This hotel is great for someone looking for a cheap and somewhat ok place to stay. First room had dirty sheets and pillow cases, had to move room due to all the doors that slam closed (not shut). Second room curtains was falling down burnt out bulbs, remote had to changed three times. No sleep timer on any TV's. Hair left in shower.”

• Extremely noise, can hear freeway traffic.

“The only positive thing about this hotel is the location from the freeway and the staff was friendly. My biggest compliant would be that you can hear the traffic from the freeway in your room and it actually woke me up a couple of times. Also I do not know why but you could not close the curtains to block out the light, first time that has ever happened. The breakfast was not great either, just cereal, oatmeal, some bagels.”

• The desk clerk was very friendly and the manager made our complaint right.
• There was a dresser drawer missing very hot in the room and breakfast was cleaned up before.

“It was a little run down. Missing a drawer, the rooms and halls smelled like smoke. When breakfast was included until 9:00 no one informed us of this. We arrived at 8:45 and it was already cleaned up. This happened with other quests as well. However after staying later to talk to the manager about this problem he made it right they put out some of the stuff for us.”

• There is nothing I liked about the hotel.
• It was hot, noisy, dirty (mold on the shower), wet carpet near the bath, crack head guests in the hall, extreme highway noise all night.

• The pool was great. The rooms were nice and clean and the bed was to die for.
• The breakfast could have had more selections and the hallway carpets were much stained.

“Hotel is in a questionable part of town, with zero street appeal, attached to a card room. Room had two used Kleenex on the floor by the bed. Room smelled strongly of fresh paint, and I awoke with a headache.”

“If the description of what was available at this hotel was correct I would not be disappointed. But since you mentioned that this hotel had a lounge and a casino and did not, I am disappointed.”

• Comfortable Bed, fluffy pillows, use of iron & bed, large TV.
• Full length mirror not adequate, paint fumes in room caused dizziness and burned my eyes.

“Painted rooms should be isolated from same air source that guests stay in. Outlet for iron needs to be in open area instead of behind a bed, drawer or desk.”

• It was within walking distance to a couple of restaurants.
• It was dirty.

“This hotel was disgusting. It was in a very noisy section sandwiched in between 2 main roads. There were toenail clippings on the floor of the previous guest and an empty shampoo bottle in the shower, which is converted from a handicapped shower stall to a regular one. This means that water sprays all over since the hotel didn't care enough to supply a bigger shower curtain. Also, there is something very unsanitary about having a coffee maker in the bathroom with mugs that have sat there since god knows when. Really makes me sick to think of someone using the facilities while a mug that I might have wanted to use is a foot away.”

“I found that the lobby was nice and the staff was friendly, but the non smoking rooms smelled like smoke, the bed sunk, and it did not meet the star level described in the page. Also the internet provided was spotty and internet is crucial for a business traveler. It did not meet up to the standard one would typically hold red lion to.”

• Too far from downtown. Wi-Fi didn't work in my room.

“The parking lot had people coming and going all night. Car alarms went off 3 times by my room after midnight. The hotel staff did not seem to inspect or monitor the parking lot once, or try and resolve any further occurrences. I barely got any sleep.”
