• Location, full kitchen and spacious room.
• Exterior entrance and stairs.

“I was so pleased with the location and the staff. Although they were doing some work around the exterior of the buildings. It didn't affect us at all! I will definitely stay there the next time I am in Portland!”

• Friendly employees, full kitchen, extraordinary & complete breakfast daily!
• The garbage truck that arrived at 4:30am two mornings.

“This is a fantastic hotel for families and business travelers, located in northeast Portland. It's walking distance from the Convention Center and only a few blocks from Lloyd Shopping Center. The staff serves an amazing, 30 item hot and cold breakfast with free newspapers. We plan to stay here every time we visit Portland.”

• I loved how it was like a home away from home, most of the staff was friendly.
• Lady that checked us in wasn't very friendly actually she was kind of rude.

• Super helpful staff. Very nice layout of hotel. Clean and quiet. Very good breakfast!
• Would have liked fresh towels 2nd day but had to ask for them.

“Wonderful breakfast bar and excellent staff. Close to downtown Portland, easy access to the MAX/Metro. Felt like home away from home. Would definitely stay there again!”

• Location was perfect.
• Unable to get late check out.

“Clean, great location and the front office personnel were very accommodating with our bikes. We rode 200 miles from Seattle to Portland and had no car. They were very helpful and stored our bikes on our check out day until we connected with our transportation.”

• Convenient location; large, comfortable room.
• Noisy.

“Although the room was comfortable and the location was convenient, noise was a big problem. The building is made of wood instead of concrete and steel and every footstep in the room above made the floors creak. Not the place to stay if you want peace and quiet.”

• W loved breakfast and liked having a sofa and a kitchen!
• The only thing would be the noisy fan in the bathroom but one can't help that!

“I would recommend the hotel as it was in a nice neighborhood and close to shopping as well. The surroundings were quite lovely with beautiful trees and you can't beat the breakfast!”

• The pool was outside.

• Spacious. Great Location.
• Air Conditioning went out the last night. Unable to service until the next day.

“My only complaint is how they handled the air conditioning going out. Because it happened at night, it couldn't be serviced until the next day. They brought me a fan, which was about all they could do. The next morning I took advantage of their breakfast. And yes, it was excellent. My compliments! Returning to the room, something smelled dead. Probably something, now no longer alive, had got into the air condition. So I passed that info on to the desk clerk. That night and the next morning I had two different front desk staff apologies and offer to follow up with management on something to address the inconvenience. They took my cell phone number and promised to call. That was 4 days ago and no they haven't called. Not even a message to say there wasn't anything they could do, but are still very sorry. Hmmm do they really care? Things happen in life. But how you respond when something goes wrong is ultimately how you'll be judged.”

• Very friendly, helpful staff. Clean rooms. Clean outdoor pool. Fantastic free breakfast.
• Check in time is late.

“I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful when it came to directions. The rooms are simple and plain but very clean and roomy. The max is only a short walk from the hotel and a 10 minute ride to downtown. I would recommend this hotel to people with families.”

• Very thoughtful and friendly staff.
• Would have liked rooms with twin or two double beds.

“This hotel was convenient for our needs: near the MAX, Lloyd Center and Broadway restaurants. When we sat down by the pool in the morning, a staff member appeared with a pitcher of ice water and a stack of cups saying, "It's going to be a hot one. You'll want this." They do a good job of recommending restaurants in the area and giving directions. They have a grocery shopping service for long-stay residents that would be very convenient for working people. The complex was surprisingly quiet for being completely full. You have a kitchen with dishwasher, full refrigerator and a table. Bring brighter light bulbs and even more lamps if you are going to be there for more than a few nights!”
