• Very large kitchen, attractively decorated, accepted dogs and nice grounds.
• Charge for dogs to stay.

“We stayed in this hotel for a week-end swim meet in Portland. It was conveniently located, wonderfully priced, and quite large. The kitchen was well equipped and the sleeping area had both a queen bed and fold out. The grounds were well maintained and the hotel was adjacent to a Spaghetti factory and a movie theater which was very convenient. Dogs were allowed for a fee which made it very nice for our family vacation. The room was well decorated then the staff was friendly. I would definitely stay here again.”

• Location, restraints and cinema near by.
• Room smelled like smoke.

“Great spot. Should be totally smoke free in smoke free rooms for guests. It was a nice place but the smell of the room was a turn off. Great staff at front desk however. I would give them another try.”

• We needed to be out before 7am each morning and breakfast was ready!

“We were very pleased with our stay at Residence Inn. The staff made us comfortable and having the hot tub available to us late into the evening after a long working day was a plus. Thank you.”

• The service with the free breakfast was out fantastic.
• No indoor pool only outdoor so it was closed because it was early spring too chilly.

• The Jacuzzi was great and the D/R workers were gracious and accommodating.
• Toilet space cramped.

“He was so surprised at the quality, peacefulness, and attractiveness of this facility. The room was bigger than my DTRs 1 bedroom apartment.”

• Kitchen in room, friendly staff, and surprisingly decent breakfast.
• Bed too stiff, had to rotate TV back and forth for bed and sitting area. AKA room layout.

“Excellent if not ideal for business travel, particularly for a several day stay. Full size fridge + microwave + sink + courtesy grocery shopping makes staying great if expecting long work days. In walking distance of some excellent restaurants.”

• I was extremely pleased with how friendly the breakfast staff was. It was also free.
• Very happy.

“The room was very clean, and for a low price we got a kitchen, living room, and bedroom. In the morning, we were very happy to sample the best hotel buffet we have had (we stay at a lot of hotels). The breakfast was included (Some places charge and don't bother to tell you). The breakfast staff was extremely friendly, and there was even a lady at the door just to greet and say good morning. We would definitely stay there again.”

• They provided little extras that made the stay outstanding.
• Nothing to dislike.

“This hotel was outstanding. They provided services that I have never had before (a night light to help find the bathroom/shopping to fill your fridge for only the cost of the food). The room was clean and fresh. The full breakfast buffet was good. I have stayed in many places from no stars to resorts and this was the all around best place I have ever stayed.”

• Free breakfast, what more can I say! Very clean and friendly staff.

“Excellent accommodations, huge room, plenty of sleeping space, very clean, very quiet. Nice little complex, more like townhouses or condos than hotel rooms, at least that's how it feels. Free hot breakfast for all guests. It worked perfect for my wife and I and our 3 children (they are very small and shared the fold out). But it has a full kitchen which would be perfect for an extended stay. Traveling on a budget would be a huge benefit with this hotel, free breakfast and you can cook other meals to save $. I would give this hotel 3 stars if I could just based on the experience I had with them!”

• I was impressed with the layout I felt like I was in an apartment. I can just imagine what the 2 bedroom suites look like.
• There isn't anything.

“I was truly impressed with this hotel it exceeded my expectations. It had a full kitchen including a dishwasher which assured me all the glasses, coffee pot etc. Was clean and not just wiped out. Plus I was able to wash what I left because they provide soap for the dishwasher. In the kitchen they provide dishes and pots and pans silverware. I traveled with a friend and we were worried that the fold out bed would be like most fold out beds (extremely uncomfortable) but they actually have upgraded mattresses on the fold out and it was very comfortable (I slept on it my self) also the bedding was in the closet so you knew it was clean and fresh and no one else had slept on it.”

• We enjoyed the private setting of the hot tubs.
• Colors of decorations were not to taste.

“For the first time ever I felt I underpaid for a hotel. This was the best experience I have had. The room was huge. We didn't have to sit on the bed to watch television. We had a hot tub right out our room that was very relaxing and quiet. The staff was very pleasant and helpful.”

“This is a lovely hotel. Although we only stayed one night, it would be a great place for an extended stay. Nice layout. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good. Not exactly convenient to downtown Portland.”

• Very nice breakfast buffet - one of the best I have seen.
• Requested two beds, clerk was a bit short and stated - you have a queen and a fold out couch. Nothing further, nor any personality to the answer.

“Clean, quiet facility located about 20 minutes from downtown Portland. Very nice breakfast buffet. Newer / re-conditioned facility that would be good for a business traveler or family on a budget. Desk staff is adequate, but not that friendly or outgoing either.”

• Very clean comfortable room, news furnishings, well maintained.
• I had to pay for parking, at a 2.5 star. And they ran out of spots.

“Located near just about nothing except a couple of fast food places, this 2.5 star charges nine bucks a day for parking - at a 2.5? Even worse, they run out of parking spaces sometimes. There is a restaurant downstairs - good - but no room service until after 5:30 - bad. Staff didn't know the area at all.”

• Layout is confusing, hard to tell where to park to be near room.

“Close to highway 26 but in a quiet location, this hotel is close to a shopping mall and several restaurants. Room was large, everything was very clean, and the windows opened for fresh air. Free Internet was nice, but the connection speed was very slow, a problem for some business travelers. Desk staff was quite nice, overall an excellent facility.”

• We just love the cleanliness and the homely atmosphere of the hotel. It's our home away from home.
• Actually, we have nothing to complain about.

“We certainly enjoyed our stay in the hotel. It was just like an extension of our house. My daughter just couldn't wait to go back to the hotel every time we were out. The staff is excellent and courteous. The hotel was very neat and tidy. The space was just right for us, not too small and not too big for our family of 3. We would choose this hotel again in the future.”

• Staff was exceptional. Free breakfast was phenomenal Rooms was HUGE and very comfortable. LOVED IT!!
• The street is not well marked. Had to detour quite a bit to find the hotel. Can only be accessed on one side of the street.

“Though difficult to find, the Residence Inn Portland West is worth the effort. Well decorated rooms and bathrooms accommodate many travelers. Complimentary popcorn and a luxurious breakfast in the morning make you wish you were staying longer. In the middle of the complex is a play pool and basketball court as well as many sitting areas to enjoy the green surroundings. The rooms are well decorated and homely. The staff is exceptional and genuinely want to make your stay comfortable and easy. The free breakfast in the lobby is gourmet and the food just keeps coming. We would love to stay at this hotel again. They were great with our 3 small children and very helpful with directions to other destinations and even answered map quest questions.”

• The location was situated around malls and many restaurants.
• It was hard to find, because I didn't see the street name easily.

“I loved the set up of this hotel. I had plenty of room and privacy, yet access to the workout room and other parts of the hotel. I liked the fact that though the pool was closed for the season, the hotel had two outdoor hot tubs available for use all year round.”

“Lovely place to stay. Convenient to major shopping and business centers. You will get a nice large room with full kitchen, desk, living room with fold out. The wonderful linens on the queen bed almost make up for the firmness of the bed. You will find helpful staff, a small necessities store, business center and wireless high speed internet. Overall a great business travelers home away from home or the perfect place for a nice getaway for mom and dad.”

“We had a very comfortable and enjoyable two-night stay. Everything we wanted, and then some, was thoughtfully provided. The room was spotlessly clean. The staff were all very courteous, helpful and pleasant. The complimentary breakfast was billed as Continental but was very sumptuous and had something for everyone. I'd highly recommend it.”
