• Had to go to business center for wireless, downstairs, across lobby, instead of in room, or be charged.

“Everything you'd expect from a Hilton. Great location,close to restaurants,(walking distance) friendly, helpful staff, right next to concert auditorium, underground parking. Very close to university, where we were visiting. Beds were very comfortable!”

• It was clean, the beds of course are wonderful, and we were in a good location for other eateries.
• The sensor to the door wasn't working, so we had to wait to get into our room. The hotel personnel took too long to let us in our room.

“The room was nice, but the halls were "stuffy" they need to get "fresh" air in the hallways. The hotel does cater to business travelers, and compared to the Hilton Garden Inn we stayed at in El Paso Texas--that was much nicer. I would stay at this hotel again....The 6th Street Grill we dined at made it worth it!!”

• Charged $10 for WiFi, even though Eugene has free WiFi throughout the city--a ripoff (I used the city's service)

“The room was nice, but rather small and lacking in some nice amenities, such as a refrigerator and/or microwave. Also, see the note about WiFi: In this day and age, it it inexcusable for a hotel to charge for the service. Also, $2 for a bottle of water is outrageous.”

• The room was comfortable and clean.
• The parking price was a surprise and besides they were not responsible for valuables.

“The hotel should offer a continental breakfast like the lower price hotels in the area along with free parking. They should also off free internet connection in the room for travelers. The rooms were nice and comfortable, but they could have been a little larger.”

• Inexpensive.
• Dirty, thin walls got woken up to a woman screaming in the next room.

“The staff was okay, the key cards for the garage never work, we had lights out in the bathroom, the doors to the outside area in the pool room were open making it freezing cold in the pool area (its supposed to be a heated pool.) The room was a little messy when we arrived, a hostess knocked on our door once, then entered shortly after we arrived in the room which was rude and she should have waited for us to open the door. Overall I've had a bad experience with this hotel every time I've stayed there.”

“The staff is very helpful and friendly. There is fresh lemon/herb water and fruit in the lobby to welcome you. The decor is nice. The sofa in the room was very roomy and the beds divine - very comfortable.”

• The staff was very friendly.
• You had to pay for parking and the wanted money for everything.

“When you go to a nice hotel, you expect something a little special with your stay. The hotel was average, not special, and everything cost extra. Parking fees were ridiculous; you had to request a fridge and you were charged for those too. I'm surprised they didn't charge for the pillows! Very disappointed.”

• Comfortable room.
• They charge for wireless internet and parking.

“Nice accommodations, clean, comfortable, good restaurant and bar. Friendly staff. Good fitness center, much better than average. But it really irks me when a hotel charges for wireless internet and parking, which I think should be free, especially internet. I had to use their business center for internet to avoid the $10 per day wireless charge.”

“There was a large conference with hundreds of middle schoolers in the hotel. Doors slammed late into the night and began again early in the morning. They would not move us to a quieter part. Very little sleep. Very disappointing.”

“Very little attention paid to the convenience of a typical traveler and morning preparations. This is a very traditional historic hotel that shows its history in the mood of the rooms. It must have been quite a place at some point in time,
the place is held in a time capsule.”

• The beds were so comfortable.
• Bar with noisy clientele across the street. Room was too warm.

“Comfortable beds. The heat would only turn down to 65 degrees and I like it cold for sleeping. There were noisy people outside of an establishment across the street until around 2:00 am. If I had asked for a fan it would have helped to drown out the noise.”

• The furnishing were nice and updated.
• When we went in the room someone had sat on the bed and used the toilet without flushing.

“If you are planning on getting sleep don't stay at the hilton. The rooms are loud you can see under the door. There is a bar across the street it was very loud.”

• Friendly helpful staff. Walk to local restaurants and shops.
• No free WI-FI.

“This was a very nice hotel. Clean, upscale, and quiet with a very helpful and friendly staff. The food in the lobby bar was outstanding though pricey, and the flavored water in the lobby was divine. Be prepared for additional charges, however, as parking at the hotel is $9 a night and the WI-FI will cost $10 per day.”

• The lemon/herbal water in the lobby is delicious.
• No hot water, temp of the water is too low as my bath was rather chilled.

“Great hotel, comfortable beds. Hot water temp needs to be increased as my bath water was too chilly, and had to take a cool shower as water was not hot.”

• Comfortable bed with good amenities.
• A bit dated, with some peeling wallpaper and soiled carpet.

“The Eugene Hilton is a mainstay in town, centrally located and easy to find. The room interiors indeed the entire hotel
are dated, with some notable problems. In our recent stay, we noticed wallpaper beginning to peel in the bathroom and stains on the carpet. The nearby train tracks can disturb sleep. Yet the bed was comfortable and the room as clean as it could be. Television channel selection was limited and reception at times was awful. All in all, I would stay again.”

• Clean, freindly, cool location (by OR state).
• Under construction, pay to park, pay for internet, small bathroom.

“Normally I would probably rate this experience a bit higher, however the hotel was under construction while I was there. One elevator was out, cable only worked half the time, etc. The bathroom, although nice & clean, was possibly the smallest I have encountered. Everyone was extremely kind and gracious, however the restaurant food was not that great. One thing to note: if you're going to need parking plan on adding $9 a day to your bill - it's not included in the price. Same goes for internet.”
