• The room was very clean and tastefully decorated.
• The continental breakfast was bagels and weak coffee.

“Everything was very clean and beautiful. The rooms were very spacious and ours had a fireplace. The staff was very friendly and helpful.”

• Very nice gardens and views.
• Room decor could have been better.

“Easy to access and plenty of parking, quite location and yet close to the heart of Mendicino. Staff was great!”

• It had an ocean view and was comfortably appointed. It was also pet friendly which was a plus.
• The front desk gave us no info at check in and the continental breakfast of cold wrapped bagels, coffee, and a basket of apples needs some improvement.

“It was comfortable and in a convenient location and the room was decorated in an old fashioned Victorian motif. The continental breakfast was not even worth wasting calories on. Go get a scone at the Albion Inn. The front desk told us nothing about what to do in the area and when we asked for a reasonable and casual restaurant in the area he said there weren't any. The room was fine but this was no frills.”

• Good location, friendly staff.
• Room decorations were frumpy and old-fashioned.

“This was a clean and sufficient hotel, but nothing terribly special. The staff was very friendly, and the location in Mendocino was great, but it was not much different than the typical chain hotel. The room decorations were a bit overdone (they tried for a Victorian style). The gardens were beautiful but small, and did not provide much of a garden view rooms. Overall, I would recommend the hotel as a comfortable place to sleep when staying on the northern coast.”

• Walking distance to town.
• The rooms were not inviting, the linens were in terrible condition, actually had holes in the bed sheets.

• It was in Mendocino, and the price was good.
• It was near a graveyard and anyone upstairs from you can be heard clearly.

“The dinning room at the hotel wasn't open because of a change of management. We could clearly hear the people above us walking around. Every time they opened or closed a door, it rattled the room. The room itself was nice and the bed was comfortable.”

• It was clean, easy to locate and easy on the eyes.
• The bed was horribly uncomfortable. It put a damper on the whole experience. No sleep.

“Great location! We had an awsome view of the ocean. However, we did'nt get any sleep and we both awoke with terribly sore backs.”

• The uniqueness of the different rooms.

“I thought that this hotel was wonderful and very classy. I was surprised with the high quality of everything and the fact that they were pet friendly. That was a big plus. It's hard to find good quality that allows pets.”
