• Convienent location to the Juneau, AK airport.
• Noisy jet traffic, very noisy refrigerator in room, key cards worked sporadically, very poor wife.

“Overall the hotel was OK. Their wifi is totally inadequate. Their business center computers were inoperable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Very convenient to the airport, but the trade-off is jet noise. All beds have feather pillows, people with allergies beware.”

“This is a nice place to stay with no frills. It is a great room with a bed, and I was totally happy with it for the price. I don't need a fancy spot with lots of amenities, though shampoo would have been nice. So that's ok by me.

• Best location nearest to Juneau Airport, can walk to airport.
• The television didn't work.

“Maybe just caught the end of the season, but there are good things to tell. Number one - they had a shuttle and picked us up at the Ferry with no hassle. I talked to the shuttle driver and she indicated that many guests make extensive use of the shuttle service. Number two- there is no need for the shuttle service to the airport because you can just walk to the airport in about one minute from the hotel entrance. Also, we walked to shopping and to restaurants and to the Public Bus to downtown. The room had microwave, mini kitchen, refrigerator, and nice bathroom. The TV didn't worked, had a buzzing noise which made it impossible to keep on. There was a swimming pool and Jacuzzi available, but I didn't use it.”

• I liked that it was so close to the airport and that it was well kept up.
• There was no one at the front desk. I had to call the hotel's number on my phone to get service.

• The rooms are large and the hotel is quiet.

“I like the full kitchen in the rooms. Refrigerator, microwave, dishes, coffee maker. It is nice to be able to bring your own food and relax. The Hotel also has a heated pool. The staff are helpful and check in is very fast.”

• Hotel has a great location.
• Very poor service and hotel quality. Should not have a 2 star rating.

“Upon arrival to this hotel we were greeted with rude staff and throughout our stay dealt with loud guests running in the halls and slamming doors until after midnight despite numerous complaints to hotel staff. Also, the walls here are paper thin; we could here everything going on in the rooms on either side of ours. Terrible! I would definitely not recommend this hotel, you are much better off at the Travelodge or Best Western.”

• The room was very quiet and I loved the location.
• There was absolutely no service. I had to retrieve towels and take the trash out myself.

“I thought the location was perfect for us and having a rental vehicle. The room was quite and I liked having a kitchen with a refrigerator and stove; although, the service was poor. I had to take my own trash out and had to retrieve soap and towels from the front desk, they would not bring them to your room.”

• Friendly staff and early continental breakfast.
• The bed was hard.

“The hotel is reasonably priced, easily located, once you know the name of the street that goes the other way, it is not far from a mall, and a local restaurant. The airport is close but not too loud, they have transportation to and from on site.”

• The room was pleasant and inviting and also came with a kitchen!
• Had to pay $4.99 for internet access. Most hotels don't charge for wireless internet.

“I was very happy with this hotel. The staff was welcoming and friendly. I was surprised to find a modern kitchenette in my room which allowed me to cook meals at night instead of spending lots of money to eat out. The room was comfortable with a queen sized bed, nice reclining chair, a work table, and Dish TV. with a DVD player (you don't usually find a DVD player in a hotel room). Overall this was one of the most comfortable business trips I have taken.”

• Convince of location and the indoor swimming and Jacuzzi.
• Lack of family based breakfast choices.

“Overall a great place to be. Had issues one day with the shuttle driver not promptly leaving had to wait approx 45 mins to get a ride when the drive was only about 10 mins. We really would like to see some more breakfast choices i.e.: fruit juices, fresh fruits, hot coco or cider. Some things that kids might actually eat.”

“Regrettably, the Extended Stay does not compare to its former quality as the Aspen Hotel. The breakfast buffet is minimal (bring back the waffles!). The lack of internet and phone service during my stay were unfortunate.”

• Easy to find in an unfamiliar place.
• No housekeeping service; shower ran onto floor.

“We had a handicapped room - the shower ran onto the floor which did not slope properly to the drain which resulted in standing water. We had to roll up towels to create a dam & route water to the drain. Towels had to be rung out every shower. Also, no housekeeping service; had to request towels, coffee, etc.”

• The location is perfect for Juneau, Alaska, travel. Staff was helpful.
• Breakfast was very skimpy no juice, no cereal, no yogurt.

“This is the third time Ive stayed at this location, and I will return because of it's proximity to our family and shopping in Juneau. There were a few amenities missing shampoo, a pillow (which was taken care of, not much breakfast. The rate was great! We were there for two very short nights (including a 5:30am arrival, and we didn't stock up on cooking items because we have family nearby, but the kitchenette is a great asset, especially for families.”

• TV not working correctly, construction, no daily maid service, odor in room bad.

“We have stayed at this hotel when it was the Aspen and had great service. It was not up to their standards at this time. I had never stayed at an Extended Stay hotel and may not again.”

• Rooms are well purposed, bed, kitchenette, bathroom, etc.
• Breakfast is very citrate, bagel, coffee or tea, apple or orange. Very poor for a hotel this nice.

“It is set up for people who want to have some in room conveyances with the kitchenette, very nice rooms, and single king beds, newly remodeled but a very skimpy, unimpressive breakfast.”

• Clean, convenient, newly remodeled, great staff.
• Smell of chlorine from the pool is very strong in the lobby.

“This hotel is located near to shopping, restaurants and the airport. Newly remodeled, it is clean and fresh - definitely worth the price, with a friendly helpful desk staff. Rooms were cleaned quickly in the am with minimal hallway noise. Continental breakfast included hot waffles and really good coffee! We will definitely stay at this hotel again and would recommend it to our friends and family.”

“Unfortunately Aspen hotel was purchased by Extended stay Hotel. The service and quality is unacceptable. Very rude and unhelpful staff, dirty hotel and sheets get change only once a week! It is extended stay at hotel price. Very disappointing, stay away.”
