• The security was excellent. A hotel key was needed to even reach the levels other than the lobby.
• The customer service was terrible and the whirlpool had brown scum floating in it.

“While I enjoy and trust the Marriott brand, I will never stay at the Springhill suites in Fairbanks Alaska again. The customer service was indifferent at best. The room was clean and housekeeping was excellent, but when we mentioned the scum floating in the whirlpool, the front desk staff did not do anything about it - not even offering an apology. When the remote to the TV. In our room broke, the night staff person was more interested in meeting with his girlfriend than in assisting us. While we were there, there were a couple of engaging staff that we interacted with, but for the most part service was not up to the Marriott standard.”

• Friendly, great continental breakfast.
• Parking was limited.

“Great room, great view. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Continental breakfast was great. All in all a great experience.”

• The location was fabulous.
• The acoustics were not great.

“Small, clean rooms in downtown Fairbanks. Reasonably priced for the season, but could have been better price. Very friendly and helpful staff! And free in-room Internet and printing in the business center.”

• Pool/Spa/ exercise room/laundry/card keys.
• I enjoyed everything.

“It would've been nice if it was not on the 1st avenue, too far from shopping malls. First time I stay in a hotel in the center of town. Otherwise it was very nice. Next time I want to stay away from traffic.”
