• The lobby was very clean and the people nice.
• The room stunk, the was an odor that smell of dirty socks. It was nasty.

“When told about the odor in the room there did not seem to be much caring from the hotel. I was very disappointed in that. I know it can happen, but the lack of feeling on our part was disappointing.”

• The pillow mattress was very comfortable and I had a great night sleep.
• The hotel did not supply body lotion along with the soap, shampoo and cream rinse which is standard in most hotels.

“Our stay at the Hilton was very enjoyable. The bed was very comfortable, the room temperature was good, great water pressure for the shower, and plenty of thick towels. We would highly recommed the Hilton to our friends & family.”

• i got a good price
• everything was very run-down

“to open the front door, i had to put my shoulder and entire weight into it. i was trapped in the bathroom because the door stuck. it had to be opened from outside. the shower was so small that there was no way to shower without drenching the entire room. the jacuzzi was broken. there was no free wireless, while a 2 star hotel 2 blocks away had free wireless. the door on the tv cabinet would not stay open, but instead swung closed so you couldn't watch tv without propping it open.”

• The comfy ness of the room and the pillows were soft.

• The bed was very lush and comfortable.
• Front desk person that checked me into hotel gave me a key to a room that was already in use.

• The manager on duty took care of an issue we had & had compensated us with a breakfast for our inconvience.
• The maid walked in on my husband at 8:15am in the morning. She actually knocked & walked in at the same time

“The hotel was actually alot more than we had bargained for. For the price we paid, we got an awesome deal! It was clean, had on-site resturants, gift shop, and offered alot of corporate ammenities. I would definetley stay there again!”

• The hotel was in a perfect location for shopping, eating and walking. They staff was great and the rooms were clean.
• I didn't have anything I didn't like.

“This hotel is located in downtown Anchorage. It is close for walking to all the shopping, eating and the downtown market. I would recommend this hotel strongly to anyone.”

• Terrible room- Small, stinky, dated

“Great location and good staff. The hotel itself is dated and somewhat dingy. If you're a non-smoker, make sure you request a non-smoking room.”

• Great location. Fit our needs and above. Price was great.
• Had to be moved, airconditioner in room not working.

“Beautifully built. Located in the middle of downtown, right across the street from the weekend street vendor activity. Was able to park our SUV and boat in a parking lot only 2 blocks away.”

• I loved the feather beds - the beds were extremely comfortable!
• There was no microwave in the room for popcorn!

“We had a great stay at the Hilton, and were happy that we could walk everywhere we wanted to go from the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable.”

• Clean, downtown, excellent service, employees very friendly
• Didn't have an ice machine on every floor.

“It is right downtown, handy to shopping and eating places. Clean and employees are very friendly. Has everything you would want. A very nice place to stay.”

• Poor quality room and very small

“If you are willing to pay full price for this hotel and get a great room it is an excellent place to stay. The hotel lobby is beautiful, but the room I got was small, old, the air conditioning did not work and just wasn't what you would expect out of a Hilton brand hotel. And be prepared to pay $7 per day to park away from the hotel. They do not have any on-site parking.”

“It was awful. I thought that it was a 3-star hotel, but we didn't even have air conditioning and our window would not open. Also, my husband and I both have arthritis. We had asked for a hotel near the airport, but received one downtown and had to walk, carrying all of our luggage, two and a half blocks to the hotel. AND we had to pay for parking! After the painful walk, we were hoping to relax in this "3-star" hotel, but were quite disappointed.”

• The beds were very comfortable, the location excellent.
• The room was not exceptionally clean, there was trash left from previous guests, broken towel rack, the parking location was inconvienent.

“The Hilton was in an excellent location, the room was okay, but obviously one that was saved for last. The beds were very comfortable, however, we had a rooftop under our window that made the room accessible from an open window, the window latch was broken so could be opened wide. There was some trash left from the previous guest. There was no towel bar, it was broken and had not be replaced. The parking was about a block from the hotel entrance. However, the staff was courteous and friendly and the price for the time of year was very good. Thanks for offering the service.”

• Rooms were very quiet and nice, they had a nice crib for the baby.
• Parking was very difficult. We drove around the hotel 6 times before finally going in and asking where we were suppose to park.

• They do not offer shuttle service from airport

“Very clean hotel. Located right in the middle of downtown Anchorage so its close to everything. Very close less then 300 meters from the Alaska Railroad Depot. Id stay here again without any hestitation. They probably do have a shuttle service later into the prime tourist session but not while I stayed there. Cost from Airport via taxi $16.00.”

• The convenience to everything downtown and the rooms were well organized.
• The bathroom had hair on the floor along the wall and the bed had hair in it.

“I think the Hilton was an excellent place to stay. The convenience to everything downtown is wonderful so you don't have to go driving to find good food or shopping. The hotel staff was always very friendly and helpful, very familiar with the area and quick to assist with anything that you need.”

“The staff was very friendly but when we checked in at 8pm our room wasn't ready. They paid for our dinner while we waited. The room was very small, like maybe airline or staff rooms.”

• Very helpful bell staff. Assisted us in getting luggage & baby to room
• King bed not a king, no fridge or microwave standard

“The hotel was nice but in a downtown location with parking off site. We were expecting a fridge and microwave in the room for meeting baby needs but they were not included. We asked for and received a fridge but it took 3 1/2 hours and several phone calls to get. I think in the future a lower star hotel will meet our needs better.”
