• The staff is friendly and helpful.
• Old property in need of upgrading.

“Hotel is in early stages of a renovation that will continue to end of 2009. Both public and private areas continue to be well maintained - though are obviously old and in need of refurbishing. The ocean front location in Kailua - Kona still makes this a good stop for the price.”

• Staff was friendly.
• Didn't like anything but the staff.

“This hotel was rundown and the rooms were dirty. I didn't feel comfortable in any way. I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone. I remember when this hotel was one of the best. It is now one of the worst.”

• The hotel staff was very helpful, the location was wonderful.
• Some of the towers need renovation.

“Fantastic views, large corner rooms. Restaurant & bar overlooks tidal ponds. Corner room balcony was huge with lounge chairs. Walk to great restaurants & downtown Alii drive.”

• Employees were great. Luau was fantastic. Good coffee.
• Dirty, disgusting, smelly, broken down, a complete eyesore.

“Bathroom caulking falling off walls and tub. Guest laundry floor pealing, walls dirty. No vent. Extreme problems with mildew and mould throughout the whole hotel. Bad smell in all areas. Doors partially repaired. Slider in room would not roll to open. Not the type of establishment I expected to be doing business as using reference to King Kamehameha. Extremely disappointed. Definitely will never visit this establishment again.”
