• Bed was very comfortable. Room had microwave, small frig and a coffee maker.
• Room was small.

• Convenient location to where we had to be for a wedding.
• Tiny rooms, no pool.

“The place was OK. I had read previously that the rooms were tiny, so it wasn't a big surprise. We were just there for 2 nights for a wedding in Wailea. It suited our purposes. The place was clean.”

• Location to the beach and the downtown area of Kihei .
• No pool, very small room, parking for hotel was shared with a busy beach front restaurant.

“Very good location right on the beach but there were no chairs or beach side amenities. We walked to Kihei for a whale festival as the hotel was within close proximity to downtown Kihei - love the area of Kihei! Also, there is no pool at the hotel, but we knew that when we made the arrangements. There was a parking lot behind the hotel which we used since the hotel parking lot was very small and was shared with a popular beach front restaurant. Also, the room itself was quite small.”

• This hotel has its own beach, its is only steps away from all the rooms. The beach access is the best feature. The beds are big and very comfortable.
• The hotel rooms are quite small, the bathroom showers are even smaller.

“This hotel is perfect for a traveler seeking a comfortable bed and a sandy beach. The rooms are set up cottage style and are small and quaint. There is no room service, no pool. There is an eating establishment on the premises, but it is not connected to the hotel. For the money, this hotel is top notch.”

“Room felt compact and small. Mildew bathrooms and rickety furniture. Though if just for sleeping (and that's what it should be) this is a great place to stay on the island. Friendly staff and extremely comfortable beds/pillows.

“Great location for those wanting to be on beach and spending little time in rooms. Price was excellent. Room on the very small side. Uses AC window units. Staff very nice, and beach is awesome. Wailea location at two figures cost is pretty good.”

• No congestion staff very personable.
• Ran out of towels, no replacement until morning.

• Friendly staff.
• It was extremely small.

“Nice location and very close to the beach and two restaurants. Parking was tight and 5 spots in front of our room were saved for valet parking for the restaurant next door. The room was much smaller than I've ever been in. The room needed a curtain in front of the door. People were able to see into my room.”

“Overall for the price, the place is okay. Nice to be right on the beach. Little trouble parking (very tight) because of the parking service of the restaurant. Rooms are all the same and a little tiny.”

• Staff was very helpful and friendly.
• Rooms are small, perfect for a couple traveling without children.

“I will use this hotel again and again. The rooms are small but very well designed. My son and I made it work with little difficulty. The walls are thin and you can hear conversations in the next room. Very calm and quite at night and really who spends that much time in a room with the beach right outside. This hotel gets a 10+ from me!”

• it wasn't too far from the beach we like to go to.
• The rooms smelled (all 3 of them), very small, very loud.

“We assess this hotel was originally built as a buttermilk factory and later converted into a salami production location before finally being modified for hotel guests. And even if you wear a scented air filter over your nose, don't expect to get sleep here - between the landing-strip noise of the air conditioner and the fear that the wall-mounted a/c unit over the bed might fall and crush you in the night, it's very difficult to relax. Don't be lured by the continental breakfast either - it's basically bagel scraps with a smile. And finally if you are relying on an internet connection, the room connection might not work and you'll be camped out in the shoebox lobby listening to employee gripes of their employer and co-workers. But even if the internet connection did work in the rooms, with luggage there is no place to sit. Well, no place unless you consider the toilet a seat - but that was better served as the teeth brushing staging area since you could sit on the toilet and spit into the sink at the same time. We've (all 6 of us in 3 different rooms) have never been so happy to check out of a hotel! Paradise was found - but not at the Maui Best Western.”

“Overall we really liked the location, right on great little sighting, secluded sections of beach with surfers near by. Very friendly people on t he beach. Coffee and goodies were offered to us by desk clerk but when we showed up for it the concierge was confrontational.”

• Great location - you step out and the beach is there. Very good value.
• The room is kind of small and no carpet.

“This is a great hotel if you're on a budget. Great location - it's walking distance to restaurants and it's right on the beach. The room is a little bit small, but enough room for 2 people and our entire luggage's. The bed is very comfortable. It feels great to lie down after a whole day of hiking and snorkeling.”

• I loved that we were right on the beach.
• Very difficult to get a small child in the room.

“This hotel would have worked fine had it just been the two of us. However, we were traveling with our one year old who woke up screaming in the middle of the night. The walls were very thin, so I ended up taking him out to the car for awhile so he wouldn't wake up other guests. Very small rooms, but the beach is excellent. I'd stay again, but without the kids.”

“Small but extremely neat, clean, comfortable room. Modern furnishings, with all the little things, hair dryer, coffee maker and washer/dryers down the path. Perfect for one guest, tight for two but a great deal. Right on kawaka beach, one of the best beaches in south Maui.”

“The room was very small with 1 bed that had the Tempurpedic mattress. There was no rollaway bed available for our daughter, and the hotel wanted to offer an additional room at the regular price! The wall-mount AC was loud.”

• Doesn't have central air, has noisy air unit, small bathroom.

“Not as small as some of the reviews. Good value for the price and has beach access. Microwave, coffee maker and sm fridge help keep costs down. Would recommend for those in Maui on a budget. Air Con unit is noisy. You need to rent a car, in S Kihei, so further from most places. Maui is a car place.”

• Even though we did not stay in the room very much it was a very small room.

• The location. Right on the beach!
• Rooms are small & walls thin.

“You cannot beat the location for the price. It is also nestled between a condo hi-rise with a great restaurant for a friendly delicious breakfast and Sorrento¿s which is practically onsite was a great Italian/Mediterranean dinner option. I was in town for work, had brought my fiancé along, and was surprised by the friendliness of the staff & the almost "private" beach location. For the price you can't beat it.”

• The room was to be non smoking, but it smelled of smoke badly. The room was very small.

“Hotel located in south Kehei. Parking lot not very secure. No elevators to second floor. Ocean a short distance from all rooms, but only one or two rooms have ocean views.”

“Clean, great location. Only problem are that the room is so small, but who cares in Maui!! Also, walls are paper thin. I could hear my neighbor's entire conversation and every cough or sneeze, etc. Otherwise though, you can't beat it for the money!”

• It is on the beach, Close parking, quaint property .
• Rooms small and only have 1 bed. Dark dingy bathroom. little storage space.

“This is a small quaint Best Western. Nice grounds, awesome beach but very simple rooms. We were two adults with a child and requested a cot which was not available. We asked for extra pillows and bedding but only sheets were provided. Sorry were out of pillows. Our son slept on an air mattress the first night. A cot was provided for the rest of our stay. It is the motel 6 of Maui.”

• Noise from neighboring room, very small (bathroom, closet, room).

“It was really just about all that I needed and was very pleasant. I found the bathroom a bit tight, and I would imagine two people might not have enough room for their things in the closet and drawers. Parking was also a bit tight.”

“The room barely had enough space to walk past the bed. The bathroom was so small it was almost necessary to back in the door. Very little hot water available for showers.”

• I was placed in a streetside room with traffic noises, doors to rooms are very close to other rooms, it's uncomfortably close.

“This hotel feels like it's on the outskirts of Kihei, but it is actually towards Wilea, which has higher end shops and hotels. There is a nice beach access, but no swimming pool. The rooms were pleasant, but there was street noise in the room I was in.The restaurant Sarento on the property was about $30 for a dinner and there are no other food options within walking distance.”

“This hotel is your last choice. Attached to a blaring nighttime restaurant with obnoxious search lights, this joint has no view, no peace, and no nice rooms. These vaults measure 1o by 12 with jumbo air conditioners jutting out above the head of the beds. Avoid at all costs. ”
