“I spent five nights at the New Otani and only complaint is the size of the room. The moderate room is so small. There was not enough room to store luggage (we only had two standard pieces). Hardly any room to walk between the twin beds. The water was not hot, had to complain. No place to use ironing board (no a standard board, not enough room to have one). This room is barely adequate for one small person. The staff was friendly, the food okay, the convenience store was overly expensive for even the smallest items. Found much better prices at the ABC stores about 3 blocks away.” Jan 3, 2007 by

“Hotel rooms were clean, but small. If I knew what I was getting, I wouldn't have booked at all. No 'bait and switch' please. In this hotel there are like 6 different types of room and prices and you should specifically say that you will be staying in the annex, away from the beach and not in the main hotel. Please do not contact me. You need to work on quality otherwise nobody will use you. Good luck in business. You will need it.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Dec 17, 2006 by

“The new otani kaimana beach hotel in Honolulu sits in the lap of luxury on the fine white sands of Waikiki, perched directly beneath the majesty of diamond head. As a guest of the hotel, you are treated to both world class services by the friendly staff and to world class sunsets from the beautiful outdoor restaurant. Don't miss the poi pancakes with coconut syrup. I suspect this is a longstanding favorite of island locals.” Sep 20, 2006 by

“Impressed by the price until I saw the size of the room. Literally smaller than any New York City hotel I have EVER stayed in. Ridiculous for the price. Plus the furnishings in the room left much to be desired. The "King" bed was two twin beds pushed together with a bump in the middle. There is nothing "New" about the "New Otani" hotel.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Aug 9, 2006 by

“Overall my stay at the New Otani Kaimana Beach Hotel was very peaceful, relaxing and pleasant. Great Japanese food restaurant is on premises.” Apr 3, 2006 by
