“Very central and walking to surrounding amentites is fantastic. Hotel is well organized, clean, and the staff is very friendly. This hotel is high traffic because airline crew check in here as well. I am very pleased with it's location.” Jul 8, 2009 by
Myra from Hilo,HI
“Rating was very accurate. Great price and very close to alot of places in Waikiki.” Feb 26, 2009 by
Dave from Honolulu,HI
“The hotel needed major updating. The first room that they gave me had a view of a parking garage and a dumpster. When I moved rooms the second one was slightly better. This hotel had 3 towers. One seemed to be of a 3 star quality. The other two did not. I was in one of the poorer towers.” Jan 27, 2009 by
Mary from Layton,UT
“The room was easy to get to and they always cleaned up the room daily. Staff was helpful and courteous.” Oct 15, 2008 by

“Don't stay there.” Sep 16, 2008 by

“It was a great place to stay, if you like the bustle of the city. Convenient to shopping and restaurants. Within walking distance to the beach. Great staff, very helpful and friendly.

Jon from Shelbyville, KY
“The location of the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani is great for shopping and beach access. The hotel lobby is very nice, with internet access available on public computers. Staff was friendly and helpful, although there was a bit of a wait to check out. The rooms and hallways did not match the condition of the lobby. Carpets were worn, and bath fixtures were obviously quite old. There was a slight musty smell in the hallway and the room. Overall - an acceptable hotel for a short stay, but not luxurious by any means.” Aug 23, 2008 by
Brian from Astoria, NY
“When going to a hotel in Hawaii, one would expect and look forward to spending time at the swimming pool. It's ridiculous that this hotel closes their pool at 6 pm! After a long drive to get to the hotel, I was looking forward to taking a dip in the pool and couldn't. They upgraded me to one of the newer rooms and it still seemed like the room was 15 years past its prime.” Jul 23, 2008 by
Michael from Sausalito, CA
“Perfect for a short stay at Waikiki - not too demanding on time and money, yet comfortable and in a great location. I felt no need for a true on the beach hotel while staying there. Bar makes good drinks!” Jul 20, 2008 by
Mark from Harleysville, PA
“Unless you are budget constrained, don't go.” Jun 16, 2008 by
Elizabeth from Devine, TX
“This hotel was nice and within walking distance to Waikiki Beach. I didn't like where the restaurant was located because as soon as you stepped off the elevator you were standing in the buffet line.” Jun 2, 2008 by
Cynthia from Mitchellville, MD
“Changed rooms three times. Standard rooms are 1-2 stars bad smell- rust in tubs - no chair to sit in room - bathroom sink on legs and the last straw was termites that the staff knew was in the wing for standard rooms. Andrea at the desk not helpful and when I complained stated they had only one standard room. Asked for manager and she refused to let me speak with anyone. Slept with lights on just in case more termites were in the upgraded room.” May 27, 2008 by
George from Glendale, CA
“Staff is great, however, the rooms need a major over hall, when we checked in at 1:30 AM the carpets were dirty, stained, no room in bathroom and no internet availability in the room. Changed rooms next day, had to pay an up charge. Not good. At least this room had Internet in the room so I could work.” May 9, 2008 by
Curt from Cleveland Heights, OH
“The upgraded room had a clogged air conditioning drain, so the ceiling and air was moldy. The room we switched to after that was fine. Bathroom had some moldy grout. Overall, the hotel was fine, public space was nice-for Waikiki, it was inexpensive.” Apr 30, 2008 by
Karim from Los Angeles, CA
“It's a nice place. I'd stay there again.” Apr 22, 2008 by
Kiley from South Jordan, UT
“This was a dive.” Apr 21, 2008 by
Rosie from San Jose, CA
“We really liked the location, but I felt that the rooms were a bit dated. The beds were very comfy and fairly new, so that was a big plus! Linens were all new.” Apr 17, 2008 by
Brenna from Steamboat Springs, CO
“Although we had a lovely stay and it was great to sleep in a first grade bed before we hopped back on to a plane, I was disappointed in what I was expecting from a Sheraton hotel. The rooms were old and slightly run down, particularly the bathroom. However the staff were just so kind and helpful that a terrible shower head wasn't really an issue.” Apr 17, 2008 by
William from Creedmoor, NC
“Great food, great service, rooms need a makeover.” Mar 29, 2008 by
jerry from Mission Viejo
“I have been coming to the islands for many years and stayed in many hotels but none that compare to the service of this one. Last year I booked this hotel for me, my wife, my cousin and his wife, my son and his girl friend. Three rooms for 10 days. We arrived and found that the rooms were not located as we were promised. We were to have adjoining rooms for two and the third room to be on the same floor. We received one room 8 floors down and had a room in between our other two rooms (Not Adjoining). We had planned and verified all this with the hotel 10 months in advance and then again one week before arrival. The room that was between me and my cousin had an Asian family with small kids that screamed all day all night. Yes we complained as did the three rooms across the hall from us did. The only resolution from the hotel was to move everyone else except the room causing all the noise problems. So I and my wife were moved to a smaller room at a lower floor not so good a view that I had paid for. And everyone else was moved to what ever floor was available at that time. What a mess. Our 25th wedding anniversary was not looking good; my wife was really put out by the way things were handled by the hotel. This couldn't happen 2 yrs in a row, so I booked a high deluxe ocean view room for me and my wife. My wife just had two major surgeries and I planned to bring her out to Hawaii to spend here last couple of weeks recovering in the bliss of Hawaii, planned 10 months in advance. We arrived and had a great nights sleep. The next morning the people in the room next to us left and an Asian family checked in with a brood of small kids, screaming banging on walls etc. I could not believe it, I called the hotel managed he sent up security. Security found that there was a major noise problem and told me that he talked to the people and things would be ok now. That night It started all over again. I again called the manager they sent security up. This went on for two nights. I go down to the desk at midnight to have it out with this hotel. They tell me again I will need to move, not the room causing the noise problem. Fine, I asked if the room next to where we are to be moved has noisy uncontrollable kids staying there. I was told a gentle man who has been there of a few days and will be staying in that room way past my stay at the hotel. So I said ok and I moved to the new room location. That night we got a good night sleep. The next afternoon he checks out and an Asian family checks in with kids, I can't believe it. Maybe they will control there kids I think. Wrong that night we were woked up by the kids hollering banging and the parents yelling in their Asian tongue. I go down to the desk and asked what the hell they were thinking and why they lied to me about the gentleman next door. Their response was Oopps Sorry but we were looking at the wrong room when we told you what we did. I gave up frustrated and mad. My wife spent about 70 percent of her day in the room due to her medical recovery limiting her ability to be up and about too long. This was hell for her and I feel bad for booking at this hotel again. The hotel would offer nothing. I asked what would happen if I made that kind of noise. I was told not to do this as they would kick us from the hotel. This is when it finally sunk in. this hotel does not care about returning customers from the mainland. They cater to the Asians; this was very apparent if you walk around and see all the services and amenities specifically for the Asian customers in this hotel. We maid it through this night mere very exhausted and completely disgusted with this hotel. I will obviously not ever stay at this hotel again and I highly recommend you finding another hotel too.” Mar 24, 2008 by
Rochelle from Kapaa, HI
“Very old looking rooms.” Mar 23, 2008 by
Verge from Minneapolis, MN
“Most of the Sheraton Princess' staff was very friendly and helpful. It's conveniently located to the beach, restaurants, shopping, etc. The room was exceptionally small and did not have any seating (not even one chair) except the bed. Our room was very noisy from guess next door (not that they were partying or anything of that nature but we could hear everything), noise from staff taking breaks and the load and unload of trucks, noisy AC unit, etc.” Mar 19, 2008 by
Rebecca from Waterford, WI
“Location and price was great. We were upgraded to a ocean view room. Only negatives were the amount of time we had to wait for check in and check out, as well as the street traffic (garbage trucks woke us up at 5 am every day).” Mar 5, 2008 by
Martha from Orangevale, CA
“This hotel is a clean, modern and spacious facility within easy walking distance of Wakiki beach. The personnel there were friendly and accommodating. We definitely recommend it for Honolulu visitors; you will not be disappointed.” Mar 1, 2008 by
Emily from Surrey, BC CA
“This hotel had a great location and that is about it way over priced and the food and drinks were to much!” Feb 29, 2008 by
Tiffany from Skokie, IL
“Overall, the location and the hospitality were great. The price however was too much. The dining experience there was too pricey for food that you can get from Denny's or IHOP. The food is nothing to even brag about. I would definitely stay there again but will not dine there.” Feb 29, 2008 by
Joe from Dallas, TX
“Great location across the street from the beach. Clean rooms and efficient staff. Highly recommended.” Feb 28, 2008 by
Lisa from Fort Lauderdale, FL
“The lobby was great, but when you entered the room you were very disappointed with the old carpet, small TV, and bad beds. If I could suggest one thing I would suggest to redo the rooms. The only other problem that we had was the buffet was 21 bucks! and it was not like it was extremely fancy. Way over priced.” Feb 23, 2008 by
Dick from Shelton, WA
“For the price, this was a good choice. I believe that I would ask for a 4 star hotel next time. We were in the old part of the hotel and it showed.” Feb 20, 2008 by
Gary from Waikoloa, HI
“Paid too much for an average looking room with an average room and the staff were rude. They also charge $1.50 for each local car, what is that all about? Highway.” Feb 19, 2008 by
Julie from Floodwood, MN
“The hotel was very nice. The rooms had great beds. Parking was a pain and a lot of money.” Feb 18, 2008 by
Barb from Waltham, MA
“The hotel was in a great location in Waikiki. The beach was across the street. We were upgraded to an ocean view room which was beautiful. We were able to overlook the ocean, city, and mountains! This hotel actually had computers with internet access available to use any time of day for free which was great for us as we didn't take our laptop. You walk outside of the hotel, and you're right on the main street of shopping and restaurants of Waikiki which was so nice for us.” Feb 7, 2008 by
Nealon D. from Seattle, WA
“Good location, but the hotel needs a major renovation. It did not meet my expectations for a Sheraton at all.” Feb 7, 2008 by
Bryan from Idaho Falls, ID
“For the price this place rocks!” Feb 4, 2008 by
Jill from Saskatoon, SK CA
“This hotel was very pleasant and the staff was amazing! We had a wonderful time. They did not have our non-smoking room ready the night we arrived, so we were given the top room- it was an incredible view and an excellent way to wake up our first morning in Hawaii.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Feb 3, 2008 by
Ann from Reseda, CA
“This hotel was very nice; they actually upgraded us to a partial ocean view room without us even asking! Though I saw some of the other rooms and they were not as nice as ours, I was happy with the upgraded room. The only problem was some noise. Music downstairs goes on until about 10pm, which is not too bad unless you are going on one of the tours that leave at 6am. Overall a good experience.” Feb 3, 2008 by
Jo-Anne from North Saanich, BC CA
“Our experience was good except for above named problems, ie, Smokey room and very dated plumbing.” Feb 1, 2008 by
Ann from Reseda, CA
“This hotel was great, the only problem was to come and go from the hotel takes a long time, you can take a tram or a boat to and from places within the hotel which is nice but you need to plan an extra 20 min to 1/2 hour to get out of the hotel. First wait for tram, then ride tram, them walk to car or wait for valet ($17 per day!).” Jan 23, 2008 by
Nicole from Blaine, WA
“Worst hotel I have ever stay at, was far from a 3 star, the hotel room was small old, gross bathroom. The only good thing about this hotel is there location. I sure hope I don't get this hotel again.” Jan 14, 2008 by
Annette from Twin Falls, ID
“This Hotel is clean and comfortable for an older property if you want to be in Waikiki. There is good access to the beach. We needed somewhere to stay for 2 days until checking into a Resort and it served the purpose.” Jan 6, 2008 by
Paul from Redlands, CA
“Overall it was a nice place to stay. The front desk was very helpful and friendly. I was only disappointed in the charges for the internet access and toll free calls.” Jan 5, 2008 by
Celia from Waipahu, HI
“Wouldnt recommend it.” Dec 18, 2007 by

“This is a hotel that is marvelous. The rooms are immaculate and the staff is friendly. The hotel is in the center of Waikiki and convenient to all shopping and tours. This should be the only hotel to stay at.” Nov 1, 2007 by
Bob from Columbia, SC
“My wife and I finally got to go to Hawaii after 38 years of marriage. The Sheraton personnel made our anniversary special with friendly service and a clean, comfortable room. The amenities were nice for the price we paid. I would definitely stay there again.” Oct 6, 2007 by
Dale from San Dimas, CA
