• I liked the location, spacious room, kiddie pool, spa, many elevators available and quick checkout.
• Parking expensive with no discounts for guests.

“My family enjoyed staying here. The room was spacious, bathroom was a little tight but I liked the tub (anti-slip floor). I would go back again.”

• It is on the beach and close to shopping.
• Misled in upgrade opportunity. We were told that we could get an upgrade after 4 days at the hotel. The request was later denied.

“The hotel was under construction so I expected there to be some inconveniences. Once completed it will be a beautiful facility. The pool was beautiful and the variety of restaurants is a plus. The rooms have simple decor, but okay for the price. The elevator lobbies on each floor are very nice and spacious. We had a city view room and we enjoyed the stay.”

“The location and staff were excellent. The daily brunch was worth the extra fee. There was a lot of construction to the common area and one of the pools was closed for renovation. I would recommend this hotel to others.”

• It was on the beach.

“Access for handicap persons is non existent Concierge lacks knowledge of area and amenities, pool closes at 5 pm, most people on vacation want to swim at night. Waterfall comes on at night completely blocking the sound of the ocean. Restaurant food is way overpriced. My steak was terrible and served cold. Room had stains on carpet and cockroaches.”

• Great pool area, and clean rooms.
• Undergoing renovations, no warning of this, no chairs with arms in room, noisy outside at night from vehicles backing up.

“Nice hotel, great location, nice rooms but very sparsely furnished, the only chair was like a foot stool with one side, no other chairs to sit in. Hotel lobby, area between this hotel and Royal Hawaiian Hotel, and one of the pool/beach areas was undergoing extensive renovations. With the renovations I would not consider this a resort class hotel, it should not have been included in this class during the renovations.”

• Location was great.
• Poor was not heated. Room was cleaned late in afternoon. Construction noise.

“Good location, large hotel right on the beach. However no access to the beach. If you want to go to the beach you have to leave hotel property and rent an umbrella somewhere else. Pool at the hotel was not heated. There was construction going on and noise. Rooms were nice and clean, but housekeeping cleaned them late in afternoon.”

• The rooms were recently renovated and nice.
• The lobby was still under construction and mostly boarded up, almost no beach at all.

“Nice hotel, centrally located in Waikiki. Recently renovated rooms and still working on lobby. Pool area with water slide and 2 hot tubs was nice but crowded. Water front but not really beach front (VERY small beach strip to the side). Clean, comfortable and pleasant.”

• The location is just perfect!
• It is very big.

“It is a very nice big hotel with perfect location on Waikiki Beach. However the partly ocean view room that we stayed in was definitely only a partly ocean view, since you had to be on the edge of the balcony to see the ocean, but when you did that it was a very nice view. One of the two pool areas was under construction, but one was enough and the ocean is just in front of the hotel which was very convenient.”

• I liked the rooms and the comfort of the bed.
• The walls seemed thin and I could hear everything in the next room and hallway.

“I found this hotel to be very nice. It is in a great location and the staff was friendly. The room was nice; the view was mediocre at best: Mountain View, Aka (tall buildings with mountains behind them). The walls were thin, but overall, I was very happy. The bed was comfortable, the shower hot and the pool warm. The service was also excellent.

“The hotel next door was totally closed for construction. Every morning and all day I had to hear jackhammers and beeping from construction vehicles. Hotel location is great. Beautiful beaches. The pool closes too early. Good food.”

“Hard to find, nice rooms but construction, or singing noise. Very small beach available. Pool crowed with children. Pool closed at 6:00 pm. Small bugs on bathroom counter at check in. Food prices very high. Limited beach chairs. A disappointment for the price.”

• Oceanfront and doesn't get any better than that.
• Noisy at night as the Hula show/poolside entertainment went very late.

“Beautiful hotel in the best location with great service. Loved happy hour at Rim fire and the breakfast buffet was delicious. It will be much nicer when the renovations next door are finished. They are down a swimming pool while that is happening which makes the main pool very crowded. Would love to stay here again and it was definitely worth paying an extra $, upgrade offered at check in which gave us an oceanfront room, free breakfast for 2 and free high speed internet.”

• Maids on Sunday were early both weeks.

• Nice location next to everything in walking distance.
• Next to ocean but no beach.

“Day staff was great, night staff did not respond. Elevators were to crowded and often had to wait 3 or 4 times before we can fit into one so wait time was about 20 minutes. That was the only downfall.”

• The number one thing that surprised me was that there were no hidden charges.
• I didn't like that the pool closes at 6 pm and there was no access to rest rooms from the pool area.

• We were on our honeymoon and Sheraton Waikiki made it very special for us!

“Amazing view and comfortable rooms. We were on our honeymoon and Sheraton Waikiki made it very special for us, they had sparkling wine in our room with a nice note and a macadamia nut cookie too. We were also selected for guest of the day and got a catamaran boat ride for both of us! Will return to the Sheraton again! A+++!”

• The location was great for walking around. Staff were very friendly, hotel clean.
• Very uncomfortable balcony chairs and no storage drawers in room to unpack.

“The hotel appears to be in the process of interior renos and the floor we were on was really well done. Everything seemed clean and the staff was there to welcome you upon arrival at the front desk. We never ate at the hotel restaurants as they were very expensive. We specifically wanted a room with a balcony and were disappointed that the balcony chairs were so uncomfortable. The hotel does have various activities throughout the day and evening including showing movies by the pool in the evening as well as a Hawaiian fire dancer and hula dancers. The pool is a little small for the amount of guests and people tend to save lounge chairs, very early in the morning, not to return until well after breakfast which was a little annoying to others who showed up to find a lot of empty reserved seats. There is no beach to speak of right in front of the hotel but a short walk towards the neighboring Royal Hawaiian brings you to the beginning of Waikiki beach area.”

“I would recommend this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful; the rooms were clean and updated. Very good location to everything! I thought the parking fee was a little too high. I already am paying to stay at the hotel; you would think they would give you a little break. Overall Great experience!”

• The fact that they bumped us up to a suite upon arrival.
• That the room wasn't ready for us upon check in but they made up for it by offering a better one.

• Met my high expectations in just about every way.
• I had to pay extra for Internet Access, whereas many hotels in this class offer it as part of the room.

“Can't beat this hotel for the location, value, staff friendliness. Rooms are upgraded and clean and good sized. They even upgraded us at check-in for free. Breakfast downstairs is a bit pricey but par for the course in Waikiki. Def. Would recommend staying here and we wouldn't hesitate to reserve this hotel again.”

• The bed was very comfortable.
• We were on the 6th floor and our view was a rooftop.

• Very centrally located.
• Limited beach front, massive structure detracts from atmosphere. You need to wear hiking shoes to get around the hotel grounds lots of walking is involved.

“Its nice but not resort quality. The staff was excellent and we received a free up grade when I asked. Pool size was limited for the guests. Drinks were very expensive. Buy a bottle for the room, the little umbrella was $9.00 but the drink was included. Excellent restaurants near buy.”

• Hotel Desk tried very hard to find us a room with a great view for our 25 the wedding anniversary even though they were full.
• Noisy-even on 20th floor could hear all the outside noise and noise from the other rooms.

• Shared beach with many other hotels. Too many people.

“Very nice hotel. Close to many, many shops and restaurants. Lots of things right outside the door. If you want a slow, quiet place this isn't the one for you but if you want to be in the center of Wikiki action, this will do. I would stay there again. Friendly staff.”

• Did not have its own private beach.

• Rooms are on the small side & worst HS Internet in 10 years.

“Hotel has one of the best pool areas. If you face the ocean / pool, be prepared for 3 hours of evening local music, which I like, but some may note. Great balconies. Good elevator service. Rooms are small, and you can hear neighbors. Worst part was the Internet. It was only 3 x dial up speed in rooms, and no wireless in rooms or the pool or any restaurant yet they charge $13 a day.”

• Not really a resort more of a 4* hotel - lots of conferences held there too.

“Yes, this is a bustling busy hotel but so is Waikiki. They were extremely efficient at check-in and out. The location was right on the beach and in the heart of all the shopping and nightlife. This was great since driving in the area is a pain. The best part of the hotel was our room. When we checked in they told us we had a deluxe ocean view room. Our lanai faced the ocean and Diamond Head. May be hotel was not very full but whatever the case they gave us a great room.”

• The location is great. On the water, yet centrally located.
• My hotel room window was small, did not open, and over looked a rooftop.

“The staff was friendly. The room was okay, very modern, and sparse (no drawers). The room had no balcony, and no window that could open, so we were stuck with AC or no AC, no fresh air option. The window was about 4 feet up, so height challenged individuals would find this less than ideal. The pools are simple, nothing special. Overall, I think I would go somewhere else. Not, pleased with the quality. Definitely not what I would consider to be a resort, or 4 star hotel.”

• Fire Rim tapas were too spicy and expensive. Loved Ingredients with make your own concept.

“The location of Sheraton Waikiki is right next to Royal Hawaiian with beautiful views and beaches. I traveled with my family which includes a 7 year old autistic boy and 7 month old baby. My 7 year old was missing for a few minutes when he ran back to the beach while I washed my feet. He was located within 60 seconds back at the beach, but the security staff chased down my husband who was half a mile down the beach looking. So great staff, great stay. I know my son will really miss the sandy beach.”

• No beach per se, Spartan rooms, uncomfortable beds, no king "available".

“Clean rooms with good location on Waikiki, but nothing really special. Really a 3.5 star hotel and I expected more from a "resort". Beds were well worn and had "low spots". Rooms service and staff were friendly and prompt. Generally very nice overall facility. Has to pay extra for room with a view.”
