“The experience was great and could have been better had

“I was very pleased with the hotel location. It is within walking district of many key areas. Their service was also very good. The room was smaller than ever anticipated (even after reading reviews from other customers). Don't expect any privacy from anyone sharing your room. This was not a big deal for me or my wife since we were not in the room except to sleep. Still, this could be an issue for customers that need space.”

“The staff refused us our room we selected online. We requested a nonsmoking and handicapped accessible accommodations. We were told because we paid for the room online ahead of time, that we were not guaranteed a room of any kind. We were first directed to a smoking room. Then we were directed to a room with a sofa pull out bed with no real bed in sight. Just imagine they thought we were going to take that. I had to decline both rooms and ask to speak to the manager in order to get the actual room we had reserved online.”

“Received good service with luggage when we arrived. Rooms were ready early and we could check in before noon since we had taken a red-eye flight from CA. Very comfortable room with lots of pillows. Lounge chair was great place to relax. Best of all the location was perfect for our first trip to NY! Thanks!”

“After a 1 month tour landing in this hotel was heaven! Beds are comfy, fantastic location you can walk anywhere and get anywhere from where you are and it was in a really safe area. Staff are really friendly and the rooms are more than adequate for NYC! Highly recommended”

“We had a room on the Hudson River side of the hotel, with some distance to the next building it was one of the best views we've had in the city! Great shower with double head, and roomy bathroom for New York. Very comfortable bed!”

“First glimpse, you think it’s a fancy hotel, but wait till you get to your room. A queen bed with only 2 feet around. That's it. Barely any space to move or even walk through the room. Even the toilet is so small, cannot fit the average adult person. I think if I was taller than 6 feet, or heavier then 250 lbs, I literally would not fit to set on the toilet. The room windows were neither weather, nor noise proof. You can feel the cold breeze come down on the bed, and hear all the emergency vehicles outside, exactly if you were lying sleep on the side of the street. The thermostat was available in the room, but obviously was giving heat only, so when it was on, the room was boiling, and we were caught between the boiling room, and very cold October breeze from the leaky windows to the outside. We had our neighbor in the next room complain of the same issues, the next morning.”

“Excellent location within five minutes of the Theater District. Rooms are tiny, even by New York standards. We were told that the bed was queen size, but seemed to be smaller. Room was not particularly clean.”

“Overall a very nice stay. Had a king bed room. Nice size. Location was great. We normally stay around 44th between 6th and 7th, but this was fine. Elevators were a bit slow and crowded at times, TV reception was bad and not a lot of channels, but overall we would stay again.”

“Stay hotel was definitely in the right area for us. The rooms were tiny, and some had no place to hang your clothes. They were clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was also tiny, but the shower worked well.”

“This hotel is convenient, clean and efficient. Besides a few maintenance issues I enjoyed my stay. If you're going to new York for the hotel, you're in the wrong city.”

“The Sheraton towers is a very large hotel in a great location in Mid-Town Manhattan. The rooms are large for NYC hotels and are adequately outfitted. Bathrooms are small. Because of the size of the hotel, the staff is busy full-time dealing with so many people. There is no free wireless in the room, but the lobby has free wireless and a large number of computers for guests to use - this is a big plus in today's electronic age.”

“I would stay at the Tudor again. It was as nice as some 4 star hotels. Maybe nicer. I enjoyed the location, even though I usually prefer the upper east side area.”

“I recommend this hotel, The staff is extremely friendly, specially the bar staff (Las Chicas Locas). The beds are really comfortable, so after a busy day you can rest like in heaven. The only minus is the room space, I was with 2 stroller for the kids and its barely enter in the room; the bathroom (small too) was really clean and they provide a good brand of bath products. Worth the money!”

“The biggest negative I have over this hotel is the lack of being able to adjust the room temperature to a comfortable level. Even though they had a wall unit with cooling and heating installed, you couldn't get it to cool the room when it was warm outside. I believe it has something to do with the age of this hotel and the way the heating and cooling devices work. They would greatly improve this by updating their systems.”

“Excellent location! Very comfortable bed, high quality linens, corner suite with two windows was awesome. The bathroom was very small and old, but clean and functional. Mini fridge, two club chairs, desk + chair, safe, closet. The hotel lobby is gorgeous. Customer service was very attentive. The location is perfect, Grand Central is around the block. Would stay here again.”
Thanks for the valuable feedback you provided to other MYTravelGuide members. Your vote will be counted and will soon appear on the review page. Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan
“The hotel is quite nice with a killer location on Times Square and a helpful staff. Very cosmopolitan guests - I heard many, many languages from other travelers. The rooms are not large, but nicely decorated with comfortable beds. However, the room was too warm and the air conditioner was not effective. I heard other guests complaining about the same conditions. Also there was a$20/day charge for wifi access. Even the business center charged $10 for ten minutes. Not very business friendly.”

“The hotel was everything I needed and more. Clean, quick elevators, convenient to all the locations I needed to visit. I really wish I had more than one night at this hotel. It was not a huge room, but so well laid out, decorated and very comfortable.”

“I think the Warwick was worth every penny. The room was huge. We had 4 suitcases and were not cramped at all. Comfortable bed. Small vanity in bathroom, but who cares. Its NYC! The staff was polite and attentive. No complaints at all about my stay at the Warwick.”

“Enjoyed my stay at the hotel, despite the hard beds. The location of the hotel was right by Times Square which was perfect for shows, restaurants and getting on the Subway. The Concierges were phenomenally helpful. They had great recommendations and directions. The front desk staff was usually not the friendliest, and we always had a short line when we needed their service.”

“Hotel was fine. Great view of river from window. Room was a strange shape but was a bit bigger than most NY hotels. Problem getting cab from hotel at night. Needed to walk up to second or third ave to get cabs. It was strange to have luggage sniffed by dog before entering hotel.”
Thanks for the valuable feedback you provided to other MYTravelGuide members. Your vote will be counted and will soon appear on the review page. Grand Hyatt New York “The Grand Hyatt has a spectacular location. You can walk to many tourist locations and the subway is attached to the hotel so that you may access areas outside of uptown Manhattan. The staff could not have done more to make our stay exceptional. I would highly recommend this hotel to all.”

“The Hotel was nice and clean for the most part. The draw back is that there is very dirty bathrooms that are moldy and need to be updated. Also, there is no subway line within 10 blocks at least from the hotel.”

“It was fine for what we needed, but I was frustrated that I could not select my room type before arrival. We almost had to pay an additional $30/night for a rollaway bed since we were traveling with our daughter and the room only had 1 bed in it. The hotel agreed to waive the charge and could not understand why we were not allowed to reserve the room type ahead of time.”

“The check in was fast and courteous. The location is perfect. The hotel has large rooms and was very clean. The furnishings were up to date. The only drawbacks are the food and beverage prices, internet access fee and waiting for elevators.”
