“The hotel was comfortable and the staff was very nice. The only small complaint we had was the bathroom has a window that allows natural light into the main room...in the morning that light is very bright and woke us up very early.”

“The hotel was a good value, but there were a couple of problems (not entirely the hotel's fault). First, when we walked in our room an hour before out dinner reservations we flip-oped on the lights and a fuse blew. I called the front desk and it took 45 minutes for them to send someone to address the problem and that was after multiple calls to the front desk. Then at 6 am the next morning there was a problem with the smoke alarms in the hallway and they started going off. When that was fixed the maintenance people used to loud speakers to announce to the whole floor 3 times that it was a false alarm. Needless to say, I didn't get back to sleep after all the commotion.”

“Nice staff, clean and well-appointed rooms. Room was decent sized by NY standards. Coffee was available in the common area one of the mornings we were there, but not the other two days. Staff was nice and responsive, and the hotel is only a block away from a subway stop.”

“This Hotel was very fancy for a new southern traveler like me. I appreciated being able to drop off my luggage prior to checking in then not having to pay as I was expecting. I am also glad for delivery of food from local vendors so I did not have to pay so much for food & drinks. I guess the economy has forced me not to be able to splurge on those extras.”

“Hotel was decent, but was under renovations, this was a major disadvantage to staying at this hotel. There were no common areas to just hang out.”

“Serviceable place, I thought it would be more upscale. Suited to business rather than leisure. Rooms are small.”

“The hotel was very convenient to everything we like to do in the city, yet it was quiet and very nice. The hotel was decorated nicely, it looked very fresh and new. Loved it!”

“Everything about this hotel has a sensuous look and luxurious feel. Right outside the door was the crossroads of the world, but inside you had an oasis of rest and calm. Great for recharging after a day of running about the city.”

“I wanted to visit NYC without paying the price of staying in the city. I chose this hotel because it was outside the city and was much less expensive, yet I could take the subway into the city. The subway was less than a block from the hotel and only took me 9 min. to get into Manhattan. This was convenient and economical way to spend a weekend in NYC.”

“The hotel itself is beautiful and the location is great. However, the rooms are absurdly small. Seriously, my sister and I could barely get in the room with our luggage, and once we were in there, we were tripping over ourselves to get to the bathroom. We ended up having to pay an extra $35/night just to have a room where we weren't completely on top of each other.”

“Our stay at the Millennium was perfect! The staff was very friendly and helpful and the rooms were modern and clean. We had a room at the front of the hotel facing Ground Zero. This was very impressive. The view was still beautiful.”

“Even though the hotel is in the midst of renovations, this hotel stay was the best I have had in NYC. The staff was incredibly friendly, providing early check-in and a room upgrade for us to a corner room overlooking 42nd. I can't wait to come back after renovations have been completed!”

“This is a wonderful place to stay. The staff was very courteous and met every expectation we had. We were in walking distance to all major shopping venues, which was a plus. The ice machine on our floor did not work. I called two to three times a day for ice and it was delivered promptly. The doormen, all of them, were very helpful in every way. Concierge lacks to the point of not depending on them. We were shipping a package that was not followed up on per our request. As a matter of fact, concierge lost the package (it was found later).”

“Check in on Wednesday before Thanksgiving very efficient though hotel very busy. Staff very helpful with maps directions etc. Volunteered info on parade and shopping. Room beautiful and clean but very small so would not do well for family with kids. Pool was on roof so was closed due to weather. Looked nice though.”

“The hotel was clean & staff was friendly. Just wasn't too thrilled about the room. I had traveled with my sister & her daughter and my 2 daughters. The room had a roll away bed & a double (was told it would be a queen). I had asked for a room with 2 beds.”

“The room was well-appointed if fairly small. The heat blasted; the thermostat kept showing a temperature of 75, and all efforts to adjust it downward failed. The really huge problem, though, is the noise from closing doors. It seems as if some doors must be loosely fitted in their frames so that they rattle when other doors on other floors, down the hall on the same floor are shut. I called the front desk at 2.30 am one night to ask them to check that doors were actually closed, but nothing changed.”

“My 4 star deluxe hotel was a maid closet with 67$ parking. The location was pretty good. The shower head was broken, the toilet didn't quite flush, and there was foundation makeup splattered on a conserve water sign on the sink.”

“Not a 3.5 start hotel. The room was small. the bellman were pushy (do you need a cab (and give me a tip) do you need to store your things (and give me a tip) Let me get the door for you (and give me a tip)The housekeeping was good but came very late one day. I left at 11:00am and returned at 4:00 and the room had not been made up. A wall plate electrical cover was missing next to the sink.”

“The location was good but the lobby was very dark and uninviting, the common areas were nothing special but the rooms were a good size by NYC standards but the bathrooms were somewhat dated. It was a good place to stay if you are not planning to be in your room often and looking for a central location in Time Square. The staff was friendly and check-in was quick.”

“The room was clean and the down bedding was lovely. Having double beds isn't very comfortable for a couple however, and the room didn't have any mirrors in the room. A mirror and electrical outlet would have been nice so I could do makeup and hair while my husband was in the bathroom.”
